God Bless Him! He is like the Energizer Bunny. What a talented, humble man. His mom died at 95, I think...hope Barry hangs around as long....that'll give him another 22 years to make magic.
This causes me great sadness. I’ve listened to them since I was a child I’m now nearly 20. Watching them on tv and only JUST found out Barry is the only one left... such a tragedy
One of my favorite songwriters & musicians. Barry is at the top & I liked John Denver too. But the Bee Gee brothers were great & Barry should keep doing what he does - Make Music! 🎵🎶🎼🎵
I wish I had seen The Bee Gees in concert. I can see by the utube videos they were great. I don’t think I realized just how many hits they had. Amazing!!!!! I would pay to see Barry too. Such a talented man.
I saw his Mythology tour a month ago in Boston, and I have to say it was strange not having the other two there. However, it was a beautiful show - Barry made up for it by having Maurice's mic cover on stage, projecting a video of Robin singing "I started a Joke" and singing with Maurice's daughter, as well as projecting family photos and videos. The whole audience really connected with him, and we screamed for a good 15 minutes - he actually started tearing up. I'm 17, and Mythology surpassed any "modern" show I've seen by far (and I go to a LOT of concerts!)
Me too! I grew up in the disco era so I loved the music. Not sure what all the fuss was about that it sucked. It's just dance music, that's all. Who doesn't love to dance???

This guy, Barry Gibb, has had to put up with so many stupid questions from media people around the deaths of his brothers over the years, just so they can "get the scoop". All the way back to 1988 when the first question he was asked in an interview was, How do you feel about Andy's death? To which he politely responded, I'd really rather not talk about it. It's still so fresh to me, I'm not ready to deal with it publicly.
Wow thats an incredibly stupid question for anyone to ask. You'd think a tv reporter would have a better remark like "I can't imagine what you must be going through, I hope you and your family are holding up ok but im sure it can't be too good considering the circumstances. I'm so sorry for your loss" or somethikg like that is what should have been said. He was only 30 friggin years old!
That is for certain. Just last month Sir Barry Gibb was awarded Best-Selling Americana Album by a UK Artist, for “Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers’ Songbook Vol. 1” at the 2022 UK Americana Awards. I have NO doubt that Robin and Maurice attended in Spirit, as these were THEIR songs too. That’s one of the best things about music. These people might not be with us anymore. But they won’t ever die in a sense, similar to war heroes. Their work will remain here forever for future generations. Thank you for everything Barry, Maurice & Robin.

Very similar for the oldest Beach Boy: Brian Wilson. His two younger brothers died and Brian had to go through that valley which Barry Gibb referred to. 🙏🏽🙁

Calling all Bee Gees fans. Can anyone please tell me the name of the song right at the end of the video on Maurice’s funeral on the Jhow rock show post. It sounds very much like Barry but Shazam doesn’t recognise it.
Terrible how fame in some cases takes its toll on the lives of quite a few... While it’s the price some pay, and it’s certainly not a surprise, all more than likely know going in what can be expected, it’s still sad what happens at times...
I actually do listen to everything from Rogers and Hammerstein(look it up) to Merle Haggard to Patsy Cline to Green Day to Rick Springfield to Dave Grohl and the Foos. I even like some dub step. It's a matter of not shooting of your mouth til you know what you're talking about. I have respect for people who can write words,melody and music. I don't have respect for people who have to use auto tune and every other word is Bitches, Nword and hoes. I'm not a prude an think a well placed F Bomb can really make a song. I have worked in the best clubs in Tampa, I know good music and I know crappy BS music. If you have kids that listen to Blink then you're not too much younger than I am. I'm not a fan of rap, if you had asked me when Rappers Delight or white lines came out, I would have said it was a passing phase like new wave. I was wrong. Obviously. Barry Gibb is an amazing writer and we are a rabid bunch of fans no doubt. I know not everyone is a fan but we don't go on to rap artists you tubes and talk smack.
