Basic Arm bar from Mount Control Professor Philipe Della Monica GB1 Fundamentals Class | Gracie Barra HQ - Irvine, CA Jan 2021 linktr.ee/gbirvine 14988 Sand Canyon ave. Studio 1 Irvine, CA 92618
I thought an arm bar was where you wrap your legs around the arm and snap the elbow joint... I guess there's a difference between wrestling and crippling someone...you guys are so gentle
…this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. I’m literally currently sitting in the ER waiting room because a new white belt, while going slowly through the motions, went just the SMALLEST bit too far with it, and my arms probably broken rn, atleast a torn muscle. The issue isn’t that the armbar doesn’t work, the issue is that you were clueless on the mechanics 😬😬😬😬
If I went for an armbar in a street fight I'd likely use it to snap quickly, unless you just want to submit someone, in which case I'm sure there would be better ways to do so
That’s basically impossible the only way you could get out of it doing what your saying is to roll onto the shoulder of the arm they are trying to grab 1 of 2 things will happen They will miss drop or lose control of the arm and you could roll probably putting you in back mount Or 2 you roll and pull your arm they don’t lose control of it and it breaks your arm because your pulling away from where they are holding basically submitting yourself and REALLY screwing yourself up In training / fighting it’s a good way to get hurt when you wouldn’t have otherwise In a street fight it’s unlikely someone will try an armbar but if they do and this happens your probably going to die
If it's exercised correctly it wil not press against your balls, but just above. If it hurts your junk that means you didn't close the gap between your butt and his side, in order for it to work there shouldn't be space there
This is ridiculous. We just need to know the technique and the goal of the bar. Not the one damn situation where you would do one. Every video has been the same too. Show the techniques and what is happening.
I don't think you have any idea what you're looking at here. This video shows the entire move start to finish. I think the part that confuses you is how to finish the armbar. It's simple. You pull the wrist down, and push your hips up. That puts enough pressure on the elbow and the guy taps out. I don't think you really want a video of a guy getting his arm broken, but if you do, watch some MMA videos
