In this video we take a very basic look at some parts of your AEG that can affect rate of fire(ROF). Mainly aimed at beginners.
I have been asked a few times when out on site "How can I increase my ROF?". So here we will look at some parts that you should consider and methods that can have a positive affect on ROF. The additional affect can also be a better trigger response.
Please remember that this is a basic guide and to get reliable high ROF you will very often need to make additional alterations or upgrades to your replica. Although some components will instantly give you better trigger response and ROF it could cause in extreme cases catastrophic failure to your AEG.
PLEASE NOTE: When I mention PME in the video I realise my wording could be miss understood. When I state gears colliding I am actually referring to the piston rack coming prematurely into contact with the sector teeth before the pick up tooth is in the correct position.

For the purpose of introducing someone to teching, I think this video covers some solid concepts and would get a noob going in the right direction. I appreciated how you didn't really namedrop specific parts, only what features about each part make them unique and helpful. However, the specific parts selection here is a bit odd and I think it would be helpful to make it clear that certain parts have certain applications or that there may be a better set of parts for the cost. Perhaps tape up the logos on the packaging so as not to mislead your target audience unless you are truly trying to exemplify a specific part from a specific manufacturer. The market is always changing and people are always learning how to better build their AEGs so even a "perfectly" crafted parts list can be outdated in a month or two.

Thanks for your input here. I agree completely. I think the particular parts here would not necessarily be parts that may go into a specific build. Certainly mosfets and brushless motors do not go hand in hand in this case. As you noted this was more of a look at what parts do what in a sense and not a particular brand or what works well with what. I never intended this to be a list of parts and I thank you for your observations. I agree completely that parts lists can change regularly dependant on what is currently available in the market. I think you have a good point that maybe brands logos could be covered for the purposes of this video. Thanks again.

Good video buddy!!! One question please, why did you go for the Warhead black as opposed to the Ronin? Cheers, Nick.
@rockbottomairsoft
@rockbottomairsoft 2 года назад
Thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it. There are 2 reasons primarily. When I got this motor they didn't make the Ronin and secondly I actually won this motor in a give away that warhead were running. This was one of there initial test samples I believe.

Not sure if I would necessarily go for a Ronin over a standard black one. To be fair if I were to pick one up just now I would probably get the base model. It seems much more affordable and to be fair once its in your replica you don't really see it. As long as it works.
@xdivineHART
@xdivineHART Год назад
If I already have an old base gun, and wanted an upgrade, would this be better/cheaper, than going the HPA way, Kythera, is what I'm thinking. I can thinker, but if price was the issue, is following these parts cheaper than a kythera, and AMPed airsoft's starter kit (cheapest, or close to cheapest options)? I have also have a vfc Avalon cqb, so that's why I'm thinking of trying HPA.
@rockbottomairsoft
@rockbottomairsoft Год назад
This one is tricky. The answer is both yes and no. If your happy and confident to do the work yourself then parts wise, upgrading a box can be as affordable or as expensive as you make it. It also boils down to what level of performance you want. DSG insane ROF or just a relatively mild SSG build. If you want all high end components like Titans and Warhead motors, seigetek gears and cnc gearbox shells it will certainly be expensive. The HPA will on most cases be more expensive initially for the tank, regs, lines and engine. But not always. Its also a much easier way of getting high end performance. So I apologise if this answer is a bit vague, but I hope it helps.

@@rockbottomairsoft thank you for the response, I'm still looking for my options, but I did see that Evike has the EMG Platinum high speed prebuilt gearbox with motor for $130, I might give that one a chance, but I'll probably end up with a HPA, just to have one.
@rockbottomairsoft
@rockbottomairsoft Год назад
I'm not familiar with that particular box, but that will certainly cost you less than a HPA set up. However like you mentioned HPA is very cool and if you have the cash, we'll worth a go.

Im wondering if this video will help with mi Double Eagle m916g UTR556, ill just ñike to hace a bit high ROF,
@rockbottomairsoft
@rockbottomairsoft 5 месяцев назад
Hi. The basic principles are the same for any AEG. The trick is to know what you have already and then you will know what route you can take to increase that ROF. You already have a Mosfet so if that's the case you look at what it is capable of, can it take 11.1 for example. If the electrical side of things is good then look at gearing. I hope your project goes well.

Honestly that piston has caused me plenty of warranty calls. The plastics they use for shs/rocket these days is horrible, the piston also has a tall pickup tooth that hits the sector causing a failure as well. 18:1 gears are only for weak motors and a low rps. A lower speed motor paired with high speed gears will have less whine and overspin. Those battery pack specs are falsely advertised, people have unwrapped the packs and looked up the battery cells to confirm they use low grade cells that will not in any way out-do even a nimh pack. Very costy guide honestly. One could spent a ton less for the motor, battery and put that money towards quality compression components, hop ups and barrels.
@rockbottomairsoft
@rockbottomairsoft Год назад
I've used SHS/Rocket parts for quite some time, like you I've noticed from time to time the quality can go off but to be fair I've found that with most aftermarket or "upgrade" parts over the years in Airsoft. Quality control and materials can very often be lacking and trial and error comes into this game a lot. However the parts shown in this video are merely examples of parts which can contribute to trigger response. I completely agree. You will find no argument from me on this point, but again in this video we are only looking at individual components that can contribute to better trigger response from a beginers point of view. A better quality motor paired with 18:1 will outperform a standard motor and of course improve trigger response if nothing else is altered. I would disagree that a nimh will outperform a LI-ION battery pack regardless of manufacturer. This is of course based on airsoft Voltages and capacities currently available. This video was not intended to be a catalogue of parts that you must add to a replica to create a trigger response build. I more intended to show what parts of an AEG are involved in the process. Of course to build ultimate trigger response all parts must work cohesively together, allow for tolerances and be well considered. Thanks for watching and I'm sorry that this video was not to your taste. Thanks for your impressions though. If your already well versed on preparing and working on AEG'S then I suspect this video really would not be for you.

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Nice replica, very nice. There are always ways to make an aeg have a higher rate of fire. However its fairly decent as stock so I would be tempted to wait till you need to open it up before upgrading, as in maintenence or repair. If you definitely want to mod it though, most of the advice in this video would apply to your replica. Lower ratio gears, upgraded motors and so on will all improve rate of fire. Just remember to have a plan and make upgrades that will help each other.

There's absolutely no reason why not. Upping the battery will net you more rpm. Or you can go as complicated as you need to get the rof you want.

@rockbottomairsoft
@rockbottomairsoft Год назад
I suggest LIPO or LI-ION as an upgrade alternative to NIMH when talking trigger response. I of course agree that an 11.1 LIPO with a high MAH and C rating will put out more current than an 11.1 LI-ION with equivalent MAH rating. However an 11.1 LI-ION will still provide better response than a 7.4 or any NIMH battery, which in a basic guide is what newer users would hopefully need to know. I'm sorry to hear that the guide did not meet your expectations, however if your already experienced at Teching yourself and are going for ultimate trigger response then I would expect that maybe the basics covered here would not be for you. Thanks for watching though and thanks for your suggestions. I may look to do a more advanced trigger response video in the future perhaps looking at getting maximum trigger response/ROF.
@cobalt930
@cobalt930 Год назад
@@rockbottomairsoft a t238 1.7 trigger board would be a better alternative and maybe not a warhead, the warhead is great but for a entry level a high tpa motor like the zci would be a more ideal choice, other than that no complaints
