This is the second of four possible ending combinations. I put these two up first since they have the biggest variations between them. For the other two, the circumstances are switched (i.e. Zulf saved and bastion restored) I haven't played those two yet and not sure of how big of a difference they will have. I'll find out soon enough though.
Not much more to say about the game that hasn't already been said though. It's pretty interesting to note that this was pretty much a small time home production. Much like Cave Story but with a start up company instead of one guy. It was held pretty close to the chest, matter of fact, the narrator was a friend of one of the developers and is not an old man, despite the voice. The man is still a pup, younger than me even! Kudos to him for the fine voice work, now if he would only do audio books...

All right, who else is here because they couldn't bear to leave Zulf but still wanted to know what would happen?

With the final battle being so easy with the Battering Ram (AHHAHA, IT'S A RAM, I JUST GOT THAT), it makes me wonder why it took the Kid so long to get up. He couldn't have been that hurt... it was a tricky battle, but with that weapon, we've fought through worse. It makes more sense when you save Zulf.

since the HUD disappears in the final battle you can't see how much damage you're taking, and since it doesn't look like you're allowed to heal if you leave Zulf, maybe you're pretty close to dead once you get back.

Maybe it's because it's INSANELY HEAVY and he used it to fight for like, half an hour.

And look for survivors. I choose to evacuate too, mainly because the other one just reset the world, not save it...

Thing is, if you restore it to what it once was, you ain't going to remember anything that happened, and everything is just going to repeat itself. And when you have the option, again, you will choose to restore it because you'll think that its the first time, and it might work. The truth would be, you are locked in an endless paradox, where the world dies and restores, where you pick the restoration choice every time, because you wouldn't know any better. I'd say let the past go, what happened has happened, and there's no changing it. Count your losses and move forward, to carve a new future, and explore new possibilities.

i loved bastion so much. I've played trough it 2 times, and in both i didn't have the heart to leave zulf behind. so i came to see the other result. carrying zulf out of the city, they all just stop attacking, and just let you go... the amazing music in the end, is heart breaking. amazing game. and a nice upload

Chose to evacuate with Zulf. I mean the guy had his reasons.After finding out such thing, anyone would rage and try to do something about it. After seeing he got beat by his countrymen,I just couldn't leave him alone. The Bastion though, had to be evacuated. Even Rucks said he wouldn't know if Calamity would happen again because of Humans. (Although I still wonder if the Kid could tell them what was going to happen but thats the story ain't it ?) Great game.

sadly the words he says at the end are the word it says at the start you failed it reset just as it happens everyone still dead and noting changed you toke to long in getting the cores

Oh no! My brother and I were both VERY impressed by Logan Cunningham (though I was less impressed by his work in Primordia). But because we'd spent the whole game listening to him, it came as a shock to suddenly hear someone else talking.

How's that? I was very surprised with Logan Cunningham and his voice acting talent actually. He's a natural and has a great voice. Zia is pretty and has a pretty voice.

It can be purchased from the arsenal during the second play through in a "new game +". So if you're running it again, it will eventually appear. Now, I played this on steam/PC, so I can't confirm any other system. Hopefully that helps.

I expected a boss fight once I rescued Zulf, nope, but I did get a glorious scene. This was the closest to a final boss, but when you are overpowered like this, is it really worth it?

i just finished bastion, but chose the complete opposite, i saved zulf and then didn't restore the world, so i came here to watch the other ending (because, in a second playthrough i would choose like before)... but tell me, how on earth did you get a turret there???
