However, after joining cabinet in that manner it would create a huge uproar if a Liberal MP did not quickly resign to pave the way for him to obtain a voter mandate. The last thing we need is Mark Carney anywhere near the power of the government. He is more of a narcissist than Trudeau. We will truly be screwed if he makes it to PM.
Carney co-authored both the carbon tax program and the Climate Crisis agenda. I'm sure that he's the one pulling Trudeau's strings just as Obama is pulling Biden's strings. Global parasites are everywhere folks, get up off your knees and fight to take Canada back.
You are right. She has Russian studies from Harvard and slovack studies from part time at Oxford. On line? No economy no business administration no accounting no finance not even law degree. She us absolutely unqualified to be finance minister. But she can translate Russian laws to Trudeau and help him become a Putin alike
But long- and short-term rates were both at rock-bottom at the time. So the f-up was to not borrow for a longer-term. The result is that hundreds of billions of dollars in debt is now being rolled over at rates that are 5x higher.
If people are smart - and since the Liberals are the only major party that wants to block that info ? I'd assume their all or mostly all Liberals and would vote accordingly, meaning NOT for ANY of them...
Freeland is one of the most over-rated, under-achieving and incompetent politicians to ever take a seat in parliament. Hitching her wagon to a pompous, artificially-created and under-qualified drama queen, who in 2015 was riding the emotional wave of an ignorant electorate, was her undeserved opportunity to pretend to be important. Kudos to her, I suppose, for maintaining that illusion of competence for almost 10 years. Finally, thank goodness, it appears that her chickens have come home to roost. Trudeau has not communicated his budget any better than Ms. Bobblehead. The reason for that is it's a terrible budget that cannot be sold as anything else.

Just checked : She first got elected as an MP for 'Toronto -Centre' in 2013 then 'University-Rosedale' ( also in Toronto ) in 2015, and has kept her seat ( re-elected in 2019 and 2021 ) since then. So, yes, she gets that gold plated pension that WE pay for. This insane notion that current adults and seniors that have slaved and worked for the last five to six decades should be penalized in order to fund kids to buy houses is sickening its a perverse forced pay it forward scheme that is so very unfair. That we are being forced in retirement ...already at lower rates of income to sacrifice the safety net we have worked to put in place, forced to be worried and uncomfortable during our pension years...giving away money that should be in place when we need long term care....where does that notion ever come from except for from people that are already entitled and protected like Freeland and Trudeau....cannot wait to see them gone. She is unlikeable, condescending and deluded as to what most of Canada wants....trying in a desperate way to cover up the waste and pander to the younger generation....

We need to replace all in government and start from scratch with all new people these crooks have gotten too comfortable with our money they think we work for them and their expensive lifestyle.
As much as I have a palpable, visceral dislike for Freeland and her zealotry, she's cunning and she knows where the bodies are buried. No matter what, he'll need to keep her in cabinet so she's bound by confidence. With an ego that seems as big as Trudeau's, it'll be interesting to see how she takes the demotion.
This may be a way for Freeland to bow out of politics "gracefully" cough, cough. Freeland may have a permanent position at the WEF and needs to get free of Canadian politics first. What a win, win, win situation if this is so.

Without a vote in, how does Carney get into the sitting parliament? Without a seat and the permissions of the people, how can this guy be part of this terrible party?
There is some sort of rule that they can use an unelected person as a cabinet minister, I would assume that they would just work on ministry policy and would be unable to participate in a parliamentary vote.
Carney at the BofC started the downward slide of the Canadian economy and showed just how bad it can majecthings in the UK. How much lower can we go. I doubt Freeland is gone as she is still on the board of the WEF. She does indeed dumb down the policies set by the unelected 5 year olds in the PMO who have no idea what " consequences" means.
