The center console is not locked in place the cup holders can slide back in the Silverado EV. I pick the Silverado EV. Or I should say I have picked because I pick mine up in 2 days.
Enjoy your Silverado EV! I test drove the RST a couple weeks ago, had a lot of fun, I was impressed. It sold in 2 days. I’ve got a Sierra EV coming that’s supposed to be built next month…looking forward to it.
@@GTGarageTalk Just Completed my 2 and half week RV towing in Canada from Ontario to Nova Scotia (7000km) so glad I picked the Silverado EV. It the best EV for Towing I got 405km using 94% of the battery (all hwy driving 105 kph) and it still said it has 32km left
Silverado RST looks like a beast next to that RAM but the Chevrolet’s design also isn’t overdone. The RAM needs Apple CarPlay because Jeep’s native system is dated. The Chevrolet has a brand new Google based infotainment system that’s running Android automotive, you don’t need CarPlay in a Chevy with that display.

Apple CarPlay does not have the vehicle telemetry needed for maps and nav functions used in a EV. I have the Lyriq and have completely stopped using Apple CarPlay and now use the native apps and find the work very well. The Alex on Autos/Auto Buyers Guide reference does not reflect on the usefulness of the native apps and the missing precision of vehicle integration Apple CarPlay needs for a better driver experience.
I can confirm after owning the Silverado EV RST for 3 weeks and traveling over 7000km that carplay/auto is not needed, the built in google automotive is way better.
@@kelviskelvis7140 Soyfan from Redline Reviews is doing the same thing. He doesn’t claim there’s anything wrong with the native system from Google, but dings the system for not offering Apple CarPlay anyway. It’s very weird. Is Apple in these folks pockets??
