Chinggis Khaan is the modern pronunciation of the name that has come into English as Genghis Khan. He's a great cultural hero in Mongolia to this day. Some of the clips are from a Mongolian film about him.

These guys are great. They've been around for a mere four years, only have one album out so far, and are already international stars, thanks to a few viral videos, selling out medium-sized venues on their first actual world tour. No other band that I know of has become so big seemingly overnight.
Nice! When looking for more Hu, "Sugaan Essena" is a new Hu song done for "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" ... also good is "Yuve Yuve Yu" For something a bit different check out... "Run" by SKALD, it's based on a Viking chant!
This song is made in honor of the great leader named Ghinggis Khaan, who led the Mogolian empire twice as big as rome, and 4 times bigger then Alexander the Great!!
I think you got that backwards. Chinggis/Genghis Khan's empire was twice the size of Alexander the Great's empire and four times the size of the Roman Empire.
@@samzorn4656 can you check the map again?!! It does looks like that the romans had way more land then Alexander, plus the population numbers of Rome are way higher then that of Alexander the great!! Alexander was getting close, but not close enough
@@0lintana Looks can be decieving on maps. The Roman Empire, at its height in 117 AD/CE, was 5 million square kilometers (1.9 million square miles). The empire of Alexander the Great, at the time of his death in 323 BC/BCE, was 5.2 million square kilometers (2 million square miles). The empire of Genghis Khan at its height was 23 million square kilometers (9 million square miles). Population numbers may have been higher for the Romans, but in terms of square kilometers or square miles of conquered land, Alexander had the Romans beat, until Genghis Khan took that crown.
IM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY! THIS IS JUST ONE OF OUR SONG TYPE WE HAVE MANY MORE THE HU IS THE FIRST BAND OF MONGOLIA AND I CAN DO THAT ROAR U GUYS TALKING ABOUT ITS CALLED hoomii in english but mongol хөмий! and we have many music insrument
I'm jealous of you, as an American, for knowing how to do the roar 😂 I sing and play multiple instruments but that throat technique is something I work on daily. Couldn't get a morin khuur and didn't want a cello so I picked up violin.
@@zolbayr6821 Technically Genghis Khan is correct in western localization. But the truly correct one would be from The Secret History of the Mongols (Монголын нууц товчоо) which has the translation as Chinggis Qahan. Chingis Khaan is more modernized version of both. But in context of academics the distinction between Qahan, Khan and Khaan phonetically and in papers is important .
@@alcatraz160 Here in mongolia there's stone that has written the Khans name on it in traditional Mongolian script which is written Khagan but read it as Khaan
I've heard throat singing before but The Hu put it on steroids and made a beast! If this music doesn't make you want to head bang you're beyond help. LoL!
The actors in the video are the actors who were the cast of a movie about Chinggis Khaan called "Munkh Tengriin Khuchin Dor" (I roughly translate it as "By the blessing of the Eternal Sky" (which I clearly failed to translate lol)) of 1992.
Nope. It's not. It's movie called "No right to do" based on Sorgodiin Jargal saihan is novel. It's actually recent one. Check your facts before u spreading misinformation
Like the great Chinggas Khanna, the Hu brings people from different musical genres together like the Great One brought nomadic tribes together to conquer the known world. Whatever side these guys are on, sign me up. My pulse rate is through the roof right now. If you love music, give it a listen, it will not be denied. Nough said...
Sain bain uu?/hello/ from Mongolia. I really enjoyed your reaction. Thank you for your reaction :))) I really proud to be a Mongolian now :))) let’s unite the world with music 🎶 🌍
I would love to see your reaction to the HU songs and videos for "The Song of Women" and "Mother Nature" in that order. Not a spoiler but they bring tears to my eyes every time I watch them especially the Woman song. Both have a different female guest singer that blends incredibly. I've watched those songs dozens of times. Anyone I have shown them to is blown away.
You will lose your shit when you hear the recording the Hu just released with Lizzy Hale. It's called Song of Women. I've played it repeatedly since it released a week ago!
Love watching your reactions to these great international bands. If you ever get a chance, HIGHLY recommend the song "Heartless Scat" by the Japanese metal band Ningen Isu. I think you'll really dig that one.
Hello there, you should listen to Grailknights - Pumping Iron Power; it has Joakim from Sabaton as guest, and its powerfull,if you liked 82nd All the way, youre going to love this one!
