Battlefield 1 Bomber Killer Fighter Guide - Flying Is Awesome! 

Flew a plane myself, hated it! Crashed all the time, and contributed nothing to the team.. Joined as a backseat gunner of a very skilled pilot, loved it!!! The guy maneuvered us trough cliffs while I took out a handful of fighter planes chasing us. Once you are doing well, this games becomes incredibly amazing!

I felt somewhat disappointed the first time I played the BF1 Beta...but the more I play it, the more I love it! I can't wait to experience the full game now!

Shooting at a bomber in the attack plane feels like the UAVs in the BF4 test range.

NO! levelcap! Try out the tankbuster cannon for the attack plane but use it against planes. It one shots fighters and attackers and two shots bombers (however usualy kills the crew of the bomber with the first shot)

The tank hunter load out on the attack plane is really fun to use too and extremely satisfying when you can shoot down planes with the single shot cannon.

If they want two different battlefields in one map, why don't they just add an aerial objective?

You make it look so easy! I have a weird obsession with playing the fighter pilot, but I'm terrible at it.

Thing I noticed with planes is that 3rd person aim seems a bit off.

I would also recommend to spot enemy aircraft so if they try to out run you and, you can't see them, you can still follow :)

Finally dice made flying easier.. dogfights in bf4 were awfully hard for new pilots

The bomber is also able to turn sharply enough to capture E, and the front gunner position is able to combat ground targets very effectively while you are capping.

I'm loving the attack plane. The primary gun is super effective against infantry, and the infantry bombs are great if you know how to time and place them. You have to get pretty close to enemy planes to hit them with the guns, but they do a ton of damage when you do.

i feel like this game needs to be more unique in the menu in stead of it being the plannet and being modern like battlefront make it an old newspaper

I so hope that Air Superiority is a vanilla game mode and not DLC.... Never thought id say that

I don't know about you, but the bomber absolutely is a powerful asset on the Battlefield, the third seat in particular is amazingly powerful and acts just like attack helicopter gunner from previous games.

Hey Levelcap, if you feel like you want to engage infantry more in a plane, try the default loadout on the attack plane. Its main gun has some decent splash damage and it's bombs are nice to finish off an unsuccessful strafing run. It's also fairly effective against other aircraft and tanks, but less so than on infantry. I had tonnes of fun using this and I was even able to co-ordinate with my squad mates to help them take objectives or get rid of pesky snipers.

These things are barely manoeuvreable it's like trying to fly a double decker london bus with wings.

They should make the planes that are designed for fighting the ground get lots of points for killing ground units, but only a few points for attacking air units. And the planes that are designed for fighting planes should get lots of points for attacking planes, but only a few for killing ground units.

This game is the most I've had fun flying in any battlefield game, so much diversity and it's amazing

The best part on the bombers is the machine gun on the front! It is awesome against infantry!

Would you mind showing us how you configured your flightcontrols? i just cant figure out how to make this thing flyable.

Speaking on sound effects, I like hearing the planes fly overhead when I'm on an objective. Love when a pilot buzzes the objective.

Idea: Make the capture radius around flags bigger for aircraft. Provides incentive for players to attack aerial targets and allows pilots to contribute more to capturing objectives.

The rocket accuracy tho, way too straight and accurate. Even at WWII rockets were just coming in and normalized. Even then they were pretty inaccurate and would stray off target by huge margins. Obvi this isnt an accurate time period game, but imo they should either lower velocity or initial speed ramp up time, or just wide ass spread after 1st rocket.

Your one death by crashing into the blimp is historically accurate because that was their purpose: to take up airspace so enemy pilots couldn't fly.

Flying planes in this game is one of the most satisfying things i've ever done in a game. It was amazing.

The whole GAME is arcady, we will play this game for maybe 2-3 months then go back to BF4 just like we did with Hardline and Battlefront.

Level, the tank killer loadout for the attack plane is the best thing to kill ground targets with. It's literally a 1 bang if you get close enough with the shot which isn't all that hard to do and you can 2 shot bombers with it fairly quickly. More often than not, I end up banging out at least 1 person before the craft actually dies. The bombs it can drop also do really good damage to vehicles and emplacements, and combined with your primary, can make quick work of vehicles. It's my favorite plane for attacking ground targets. Also, I recommend turning off the option to have the camera roll with the plane. It makes it a lot easier to fly IMO.

I see the bomber even op when played it a lot with two friends. The front seat shoots explosive shots to the ground which is a nightmare to infantry, the actual bombs are so good if you learn how to do strafing runs properly and the back gunner protects you from other planes, you always have an advantage over them since you have way more hp. If the gunner is a good one, he can dominate whoever is in your tail.

Best flying: Bf2>Bf3>Bf4>Bf1 Got worse every time :P

I think the hit detection is way off like it was in battlefront.

They should buff all the planes damage to behemoths, so it would force planes on the loosing team to need to destroy the winning team's planes to keep their behemoth operational. This would give some more purpose to aerial dog fights.

Level! You need to use the tank hunter class for the attack plane. Not only does it do good damage ground targets, but it 1 hit kills a fighter, 2 hits a attack plane, and 3 hits a slow moving bomber. Not counting the fact that you can take out a pilot with splash damage in one shot on everything.

Hate the way battlefield is becoming more and more dumbed down over the years it's becoming more like an arcade shooter. Where have the bloody runways gone where you actually take off in a fighter plane? Why don't we spawn at our bases anymore and have to run into the action or run to get into a vehicle? The gameplay and team elements that were central to the battlefield games have been lost since battlefield 3 and now everyone just runs and guns every man for himself trying to top the frikin leaderboard:( (still enjoying bf1 Tho but still feel the magic of battlefield is being lost)

I've always been a tank/infantry BF player. But these BF1 planes are just too good to ignore, they sound and look sublime. The dog fighting is mouthwatering. Can't wait to put some paint on and fly in the alps come release.

I've got an awesome story that happened just 15 ish minutes ago. After I saw this video I used the kit and went 70 to 16 with a score of 30,000 points. Thanks M8 for the tips

Got a 5 man with the attack plane yesterday, I absolutely love it's bombing capabilities. Just watching those bombs drop and seeing the kill feed is so satisfying

Using the downwards facing shotguns on the fighter to take out bombers is my new hobby

I love being on the ground and hearing a plane zoom overheard real fast

I love what Dice did with this game, this is the only game I play besides Skyrim and Fallout, especially flying

LevelCap how about you do a video about all the bugs you could find and if possible, include steps about how to reproduce them? I think that would really help the developers at DICE get their game right on launch so we don't have BF4's launch all over again. If you do that then thank you for helping get this game rid of bugs. The bomber is one of the best planes.If you have a friend on the front gun it basically ends up like an ac130 and after you get used to the bombs you can blow up and track tanks easily I love it

The attack plane, with the anti tank cannon can absolutely wreck ANYTHING. Get kills left and right man. One shot transport trucks, boom.

the arial combat actually does interact the ground in my opinion. The bomber is simply ac-130, which take infantry out really good if the font seat aims good enough. the attack plane is tank destroyer and the fighter is guardian of bomber and attack plane.

Level the bombers front gun is extremely accurate and does splash damage. It's so easy to use as long as you have a steady pilot

the bomber killer is definitely my favorite fighter loadout. I've taking out alot of other planes with it as well as a few infantry. I really do love not having lock on weapons because it now requires a little more skill to use and it feels awesome when you get a kill with the rockets!

This is an amazing game with some balancing issues. Even if the balancing isn't fixed I'll still buy it and it'll probably be my go to multiplayer for a few years.

The Attack Plane with the cannon loadout, is pretty badass. I've shot down other attack planes and bombers with it

this loadout is great, and its really satisfying getting kills with the rockets. Coming from an advanced pilot, it will take some getting used to

the trench fighter plane is really good for ground attacks. you can take out Calvary and sentrys and flame troops in one attack. If you are good in it too you can fly over a bomber and take that out in 1 hit too. I have a little over 300 kills with it. you should try it. you also get to drop flares for your team.

THERE SHOULD BE A TRENCH WARFARE GAMEMODE WHERE THERE IS A ATTACKING TEAM AND A DEFEND TEAM. THE GAMEMODE IS LIKE RUSH AND CONQUEST TOGETHER, THE ATTACKING TEAM WOULD START IN A TRENCH AND SO WOULD THE DEFENDERS AND THEN THE DEFENDERS WOULD HAVE TIME TO PREPARE LIKE RUSH THEN THE ATTACKERS WOULD CHARGE AND TRY TO GET AS MANY PEOPLE INTO THE DEFENDING TRENCH AND CAPTURE THE TRENCH TO ADVANCE IN A CERTAIN TIME LIMT. COMMANDER MODE COULD ALSO BE ADDED BY GIVING SUPPLY DROPS AND ARTILLERY STRIKES TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK AND LEAVE A LIKE OF IT SOUNDS GOOD

Level you might want to check out the Tank Hunter package for the attacker. Once you get good at figuring out the trajectory for the cannon, it messes other aircraft up. And it does significant work to enemy infantry and vehicles as well

The best bombing run I've ever done I've made my front seat gunner with the explosive rounds drop 83-0 I believe it was last night. I'm not gonna tell the secret cause I don't want people taking our strategy but I'm pretty sure some of you can figure it out, I will say our air support 100% solely came from other squad member(s), and mostly not from friendly planes, but we did have 1 or 2 helping out occasionally.

It's fairly realistic that the planes can't do much to the ground, they already pushed the envelope as far as what weapons planes really had to try to make them useful to some extent, unlike a modern attack chopper or CAS fighter/bomber

I recently tried out the fighter plane. It's faster than the other 2 planes, so trying not to hit anything is harder, but it's perfect for killing aircraft. I'm trying to get better at it, and it's really fun.

LevelCap, on the bomber the front turret is super effective against infantry because it does splash damage and it takes about 10-15 shots to kill infantry. I have gotten about 50+ kills with it in a half an hour of playing it (In multiple games).

He doesn't say anything about aiming those rockets. We need more tutorial kind of videos instead of ranting. Just that he had so much fun. I had to observe the video long enough to understand it but I think I got it. Never use the crosshair unless you're exactly in line with the other plane. Using the crosshair generally results in a miss. You have to aim the rockets using the two sides between the top and the middle wings where the rockets are located. 7:15 is a good example for that. The angle of approach requires that you overlook the crosshair and aim according to the wings' alignment. Just think that there are two circle shaped crosshairs on the sides.

Great video cap, really helped as I have been struggling flying my plane on Battlefield 1 recently.

They finally removed the timer from Conquest, matches are now all about tickets... now if only kills would count for something so that airplanes can actually contribute to the game. Either that or they could add a capture point the size of the map itself (maybe a bit smaller) so that aerial superiority is an actual incentive. I also think Bomber driver and backseat need a buff. Give bombs either larger AoE or more splash damage and give the backseat the same turret as the Attack plane's gunner so that Fighters actually have to work for their points.

The Tank Hunter Attack Plane is ridiculously powerful against ground targets and can one shot air targets if you can get close enough to be accurate.

Levecap says the planes are unbalanced, and aren't good at killing ground targets. However, I am under the impression that the tank hunter attack plane is the most epic plane, and that bombers are great too since I flew for a guy who went 40-0 once with the front gun on the bomber killing infantry.

I love flying, but rushing to D at the start of the game and getting in the aa gun is so satisfying.

You want to effect the ground? Use the Tank Buster package for the Attack Plane

LvL, you know why you feel the ground game and the aerial game are separated? Because you're just cheesing in the fighter (which gunners in the attack or bomber planes can't really do anything about). The tank hunter attack plane can get 1000+ points per tank kill, and it's entirely reasonable to kill even a landship in one pass. Branch out to the attack plane and stop cheesing on the relatively defenseless attack and bomber planes.

i have several rounds where i have played with my friends with the bomber and a wingman, the bomber is super efficient at taking E and locking down C and D if you have a good wingman. if you have someone in the squad keeping the air clean, the bomber might be the secound most powerfull veichle in the game, after the light tank

Good advice. I enjoy the fact that there aren't any lock on weapons. I had fun flying, though, I was eh towards it when I started the beta. Can't wait to fly in the vanilla game.

The point of flying fighters it not to disrupt the ground battle, it's to stop enemy bombers and attackers from doing the same to your team. ;) I think in this regard they did a very good job. Much better than in BF4 where there were fewer planes flying at any given time, fighters were completely useless against ground targets and even the attackers were frankly underwhelming.

This may just be a difference between console and PC, but so far on the beta on Xbox the bombers generally affect the ground game a fair bit at C, since it's a pretty common location to get bombed at (at also, if the snipers on roofs around C get on my nerves, I generally just hop in a bomber and remove the buildings from the equation, so the bomber can help with counter-sniping a lot too).

To be fair, With a good bomber pilot it could make the difference between winning and loosing. A good pilot can bomb and destroy tanks and pound areas where infantry collect.

personally i love the attack plane, not the fighter plane. that tank hunter cannon it has can literally one hit kill any plane and if you're even decently accurate with planes, which i seem to be, then it's incredibly powerful. I am so incredibly excited for this game. This game and rainbow six siege have been the highlights of my year so far tbh. rainbow is full of bugs even tho its been out for a year now but it's still fun as hell

Aerial combat will be harder to interact with the ground combat in this game from a balance perspective. Infantry have very limited ways of dealing with aircraft, aside from the anti-air emplacements (which leave you completely vulnerable while utilizing), so if planes are too powerful--and your pilots aren't doing well--then it would pretty much leave enemy pilots unchallenged as they slaughter ground targets. We'll see what else is available once the full game is released, but it's not like infantry have access to stingers or even a proper RPG.

That's the way it was back then, the air battles were a thing on their own.

Hatemail Loadout: Artillery Truck - Anti Air Cannon stay in some distance to D, have enough distance so you dont get swarmed by Assaults, try to use the sand dunes as cover against direct tank hits play it very passive, pop smoke screen if you have to and reposition i BARELY get attacked by airplanes but i get to destroy almost every enemy plane on a personal level, i think the aa gun on the truck is ridiculous, it shuts down airplay in an almost infinite area around you, if the enemy team doesnt take care of you fast you will end up shooting down 15+ planes ezpz

I've seen some amazing bombers. Pilots that fly inverted at high altitude letting their explosive round equiped nose gunner tear ground targets to shreds.

Loving that extra ad revenue for the 10+ minutes :D
