At least he didn't gave away our strategy to hop into the back gunner to shoot down attacking planes and quickly hop back into the pilots seat when your done. Oh shit.
I'm good enough with atack plane, but can't aim for shit in third person, my eyesight is too weak to see enemies on the ground and 90% of the time my teammates don't bother spotting any enemies.
Elchuyboricua what? watch score of attacker and watch score of defending team. attacker score is always better. if i join in defending team i switch without see team.
Lack of aim assist isn't the problem, the problem is the shitty sensitivity curve we have (Duel Zone), make aiming for me almost impossible in this game. Why can't game developers copy Gears of War 4 where you can make it 1 to 1 as in no acceleration what so ever (so like 50% tilt of stick = 50% speed etc) and also give us dead zone size control. In Gears, it's so easy to aim then, but in BF1, pffff fucking hell it's shit
2 questions from an aspiring pilot, 1. what would you bind throttle up and down (decrease and increase speed) to based on levelcap's control scheme he briefly mentioned and 2. what does he mean by finesse controls? like yaw or just lower sensitivity rolls and pitches? thanks for your time if you see/respond to this!
How do you control the planes so well?! I fly in a plane and 2.83 seconds later I crash into the ground. You need to play PS4 and try your best playing pilot LevelCap
Slap My Flap It's far from a million dollars. $500 will get you a great all around build, that outperforms the PS4 Pro. It's possible to build $300 PCs that are better than the consoles, but I'd recommend spending a bit more.
The Attack Plane is really a good hybrid between the Fighter and the Bomber, and while I do like the Fighter a bit more due to it's faster speed, the Attack Plane damage output outmatch the Fighter aircraft, and as well as having the back gunner seat is really handy, so I do suggest taking the Attack Plane more
I've been loving your BF gameplays. I watch them while my newborn is up at night. Thanks for the entertainment man. I always watch the ads and like the videos for support
Can you guys shut the fuck up. I love getting emails about your responses only to see you're a couple of whiny little douchebags. Go have your hissy fit on someone else's comment. Also, don't tell people to kill themselves over an internet video. Have a little more class than that
this is why AA guns should NOT be nerfed. someone as good as level cap basically shitting on everyone for the whole match isn't very fun for the other team.
Good tip - If you get disabled and start spinning out, repairing the plane will stop it from spinning. So if you start repairing at the right time, (I.e when you're leveled out), you can save yourself from crashing into the ground.
"How to be lucky" No enemy AA No enemy plane Currently in BF1, to be a pilot you do not need to have any skills, just luck! In BF3 / BF4 the pilot has ways to combat against mAA and anothers planes.
Anyone else notice how the air vehicle mechanics kind of never changed ever since BF2? Because not every jackass could hop in one, meaning it took on a more specialized role
I really think dice should change the way fighters work. They could for example buff the minigun and nerf the neddlebombs so it takes more skill to kill someone with the fighter. I recently got an easy 117-1 gameplay with the fighter. It doesnt take that much skill to dominate with it. I miss the bf3 times, where it took dedication and time to master vehicles xD
I consider myself a good flying in BF1. but i find on console it is a lot harder to aim. wish you added that for console players great vid, my fav load out for pilot aswell
Vegan Beast Each person has their preference, but analog sticks are way better for flying controls. That's why sticks are used to fly actual aircraft (as well as remote controllled) as opposed to keyboards.
Level cap i suggest for taking out the airship, use the airship buster and aim for the nose of the airship, its incredibly effective, even better than aa guns
If you use this plane on Monte Grappa while you are defending at the bunkers, you can get so many kills because everyone packs at the bunker entrances.
SUP3RC0N41L, ikr! Like one time, I was on the Austro Hungarian attack plane, I I was gonna see if there were any guys near the San Rocco church, and there were like 4 or 5 guys there and I happened to get em all.
I do like how being a tail gunner is actually enjoyable in BF1. I thought it would be a throw-away position you piggyback on just to get some assist points, but my friends and I love getting on a bomber and being an airborne squad, it really is great fun
when I was free looking back towards the battlefield after passes as the trench fighter it allowed me to spot a huge chunk of the battlefield. The ground would just light up with spots. So that is another tip
Hey levelcap figuring how this video is relatively new I thought you might see this idea for your next load out video. The British Zulu war loadout 1. Martini Henry 2. Bordeo 1889 Gadgets 1 and 2 your choice Grenade: incendiary or smoke. Melee: pick axe hatchet shovel or combat knife. Hoping you consider this loadout, love your channel keep it coming.
Finally hit level 10 pilot today. The attack plane is so nasty in the right hands. My hands. Lol. I'm getting 50-60 kills per map in operations. My best game so far was 80-4 on motte grappe map and empires edge combined. Love piloting. I use the attack plane or fighter with a trench fighter loadout. I don't get as many kills in the fighter but I can consistently get 15-30 and I always get 6-10 planes destroyed. Nothing more satisfying than one shoting bombers and attack planes with the trench darts
Loadout:Italian Troop Primary:Automatico M1918 Storm Secondary:Either P08 or something else, your choice Grenade:Gas Melee:Trench Knife Gadget:Dynamite You are a part of Arditi Troops. Make sure you secure Monte Grappa and Empire's Edge. Make Italy proud. Use your Gas Grenades to flush out enemies and then just kill them with Automatico. Use dynamite to destroy blockades. Use tanks to your advantage. Especially Landship. Also if you don't like the Automatico use the HellBagel 1915.
Trevor Brosiedon True, practice makes perfect. And I did the same thing in bf3 too, always felt bad using them cause I always wrecked getting one kill and never used them again. I don't know, planes in bf1 don't do it for me personally. I have insane kill streaks in the artillery truck shooting them down with the AA though, that's fun for me. Especially when they get a vendetta and target me specifically with no chance. I am also very adept at compensating long range with the regular cannon for kills. But doing this sacrifices the PTFO mindset to a degree, although I cap points when it's relatively safe whenever able. But on the right map against good players it's probably saving a lot of my teams ass lol
Planes just don't give me any satiafaction at all. I like my feet on the ground or in the gunners' seat. I've tried for hours but I still can't do strafing runs. Meanwhile I am now a gunner for my miracle pilot friend.
I've played as the trench fighter and I feel like it's much better than the attack plane at balance. The trench fighter had air to air capabilities and bombs to use. They aren't super affective but they can kill a group of players quickly. The attack plane is a infantry focused plane and if you don't have fighters in the air, it's great.
A fine example of why I think the weapon balance in BF1 is ok (not 2 gas grenades though!) AA guns are not over powered, a good pilot will avoid or find a way of destroying them when the time is right. Levelcap himself use to say AA was overpowered but I never agreed, when going 1 on 1 why should the pilot win over AA just because some players like flying.
God a video when it comes to basic flying tips? KB+M/controller set-ups, etc etc. The lack of a training mode or whatever it was called back in BF4 makes trying to learn planes difficult since you're learning in a live environment and not in the comfort of your own time. I know you talk about it a touch here, but I was hoping maybe something longer that goes into the nuances of flying. I feel like the campaign flying story doesn't do a great job in training people in the bare basics
LevelCap, can you make an ultimate tank guide showing all the tank packages, which ones are the best, and tactics on how to help your team and do well?
Against heavy tanks you can deal between 15-22 damage (with the bombs) each run, quite potent if your guys are sniping at him with AT rocket guns or he's falling back while low. Against light tanks you'll do a lot better, the FT-17 can't take much, but you will most likely need support unless you plan on making many runs at him. Landship is surprisingly just as hard to damage as the heavy tank, so around 20 damage max is what you can cause. Remember! It's always better to steer up than to fly into a tree or something, I sometimes get too cocky and fly into something so it's important to learn, and I've been getting a lot better.
I love the attack plane, but I feel as though there are several issues. 1. if your team does not mark enemies as yours do in this video, it's significantly harder. 2. there are too many AA guns on operations (while playing offense) and if you encounter a guy who makes it a mission to ground You, it will become frustrating. 3. You run into a team that thinks they're Flyboys in their fighters and will literally exist to take you out.
I wish support and medic had something they could do against aircraft. You'd think an MG15 would have some use against a canvas aircraft but 50 rounds later you did something like 13 damage. It's in general really unfun to be infantry on the receiving end of aircraft attacks especially when AAA can get permanently killed.
SIPS' MOM thats not the point of a video game though, DICE could have forced all classes to use bolt action rifles, added trench foot and implemented RNG jamming weapons but the game is about fun not realism.
I use the the Trench Fighter plane bc it better suits my play style. I get more kills using their small carpet bombs, still use the spoting flares, and still able to take out those pesky AAs. I can't do too much to ground armour, but I keep the Attack/bomber planes out of the sky
Frank Münster nah it is fine,AA and Fighter takes it out easily :) but the only thing i hate about it is the pilot switching to the gunner seat and just annhilate the dogfighting...
Frank Münster Mhm, its annoying that there are no other planes in OPS. And sometimed there arent any AA too so shooting down the plane is almost impossible.
It's a bit of a glass cannon, but i think it's ok as it is. Like levelcap said, if a squad on the ground decides to take him out, they basically can, even without an AA gun.
no they shouldn't nerf it. Its the other team's fault why you got such a high kill count. The lack of competent enemies and a skilled pilot is what causes this, not an overpowered attack plane. If I were on the opposing team you would have been taken out within a minute.
A tip I have is slow down on straffing runs. A lot of people I see go too fast, then they don't get any kills and they don't give themselves enough time to pull up
Now that i notice your gamertag in the killlog, i have encountered you in many games. I actually got a cip on you with the attack air plane on Monte Grappa. I share the same opinion the planes are really effective in Operation Mode. You can get 100+ kills if you know how to use it.
Great guide Level, please please please do one for the bomber and fighter as well and their best loadouts; really want to fill out the codex but I'm a pretty terrible pilot!
the attack plane with the rockets does a lot more damage to the airship and a good pilot can destroy it in 2 or 3 passes, a lot quicker than the ground support plane.
i killed a bomber with the tank hunter plane before too. it shoots a cannon ball with a lot of bullet drop but the bombers go slow enough you can hit them if you lead them.
commentor2013 yup the tank hunter. Love it, it's also great for taking out other planes but it's hard to aim and even harder if you don't have a decent tail gunner.
Ive never played enough of the air vehicles in any BF to get good with them. I play on PC and have tried to watch tutorials on key bindings for pitch up/down but I still suck. Tanks are my jam but planes not so much.
I love the attack plane I'm still a battlefield noob so I'd say I'm a decent pilot my only issue is managing my maneuvers and still being able to fight other planes
Hey levelcap! Love your vids. Always good stuff. I just uploaded my first battlefield gameplay video earlier today! Operations is definitely my new favorite way to play battlefield. Hope you see this comment and possibly respond.
Level cap do the mechanic 2 loud-out bf4 Primary : m6 Attachments: suppressor of your choice Class: recon Gadget 1: motion balls to find your guards around the building No gadget 2 Will use m p frag Do the missions that crane has told you before he gets your girl please pick my loud out
K Van Impe that's kinda like the only way you can be effective with the attack plane....Bomber works also from just high up dropping bombs on flags....I just think the rear gun is a little too strong...feels like 1 shot by this beast deals 20 damage to your plane :/
I have this strat where when I get rly low on health in my plane, I dive bomb a zone after dropping bombs and then I jump out, so my plane crashes into people
Levelcap, have you tried the airbuster version against a behemoth? it completely destroys it! 4 to 5 runs with the airbuster and it is down, just center you missiles (or what ever it is) so you get part damaged, around 25 % of its health gone in 5 seconds
I love it too but I hate it when my tail gunner leaves, I don't entirely blame him as it can be boring if there are no enemy planes to take down and they can't do much to infantry, but its still annoying.
