The Tau Merchant Fleet takes on the forces of Chaos in this battle from Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2.
Set in the grim dark universe of Warhammer 40K, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 has multiple campaigns to play across multiple factions, and includes online skirmishing and ranked gameplay. If the flagship is going to hide all game he could probably down grade it to a cruiser or light Cruiser so he can have more escorts and be capping up people's points while they fight the battle balls

@@FridayBiology One of these days I'm really really gonna someday build a LEGO micro-scale model of the Kroot War-sphere from Warhammer 40K, because it looks very robust and extremely tough for a somewhat slow, yet fearsome Warship.

well that was Fun. Warspheres do more damage than one would expect. And they are Hella tanky! You could easily have killed the ship in mutiny next to your flagship. It did still have missiles and Bomber squads :) .

People are sleeping on the kroot game. That's a mistake they are stupid good with water diplomat. It's a legit core of fleet. Is 4 the best? Idk. But 2 or 3 with a strong ranged compliment works well. (Tank and spank). Though kroot have high dps. Also, the messenger to follow your main fleet until u get to thick combat significantly improves your anti carrier effectivness!! Use them!!

Damn fun game to watch. I love these odd/spammy fleets. Stuff you don't see often. As Rhys Thornbery mentioned below, the next logical step is Orks with Megaroks. Make it happen!

What...but... you forgot to put on Lock On stance again after the first few fighters. They had ONE squadron of fighter craft, and you're sitting there in Brace for Impact stance while your ships aren't even firing. You could have easily gotten so much more damage in.

I wonder, If you would have focused down the engines instead of the generators you maybe could have had an easier time closing the distance and getting the sweet boarding actions in. Or am I not seeing something here?

They can do pretty well with the Pyro acid batteries. Unless you face Necrons. Then you die.

Can you do a battle with a Lance based Imperial fleet with the flagship being a Apocalypse class battleship? I prefer it over the Emperor or Obern Battleships because of its huge amount of lance batteries. I really want to see how you would use such a fleet. Also fyi the Apocalypse comes with a Nova cannon.

sadly imperial lances are on average side. They have much lower range then chaos and dmg is a lot lower then Macro bateries. You are better off using plasma macros even at long ranges as IN have quite good accuracy even at long ranges.

True but some shots from Macro batteries miss at range plus they are far easier to dodge if the enemy uses speedy ships.

@@patcole7038 Take Armageddon (as it has both Heavy lances and Plasma macros with same range). Lances always hit but they fire 2 shots every 12 sec for 12 dmg each. That is 24 dmg every 12 sec. Plasma does 4 attacks every 12 sec for 18 dmg with accuracy of 40% on max range. That is 72 dmg every 12 sec. when it hits 40% of the time it is still on avarege 28dmg every 12 sec. But you get much better fire power close range. Problem is, majority of Lances on IN have range of only 9k and at this distance Macros will outperform them easily. If you want to play Lances, Chaos has much much better options as Chaos Lances, even on LCs have 18k range.
