Yeah, I didn't see what was so apparently menacing about Kate when she first appeared in the costume. Honestly, it kinda looked like it was supposed to fit a man, but it just shrunk. But, then again, I'd understand if it was a rush job, the security wasn't too keen on tailoring, or if the look was intentional so it can be improved on later in the series.

My biggest gripe with this show isn't that she took Bruce's stuff...It's that SHE DIDN'T DO THAT IN THE COMICS. My biggest gripe isn't what she did, it's that what she did is a MASSIVE departure from the much stronger character that Kate is in the source material.

So I don’t really know who Ruby Rose is, but I’m just the clips Alex showed I was like… “she’s not American right?” Because there were so many vowels that broke into something else and I felt so inauthentic for the character. And I have no issue casting actors from other places for different roles go for it, but like did she not have enough time to prepare, is really just not that good, like what’s going on because it brought things to a screeching halt for me.

Yeah I watched a few episodes of this show and it just felt like “Supergirl” but at night. Someone even commented “Will Batwoman defeat the patriarchy? Tune in next week, same bat time, same bat channel.” and to me this show just felt kind of boring and badly written. I just notice a lack of inconsistency with the writing of the shows and it bothers me. Feels like an excuse not to try as hard or not to have better writers for certain shows since they care more about views then telling a good story.

Don't even. Supergirl deserves better. While it does bring up important issues like transphobia and racism, and also feminism, it doesn't do it in such a backwards way. Especially since Kara makes her own teams, her own costumes. She does her own thing. All while being respectful to Superman.

Even though it's obvious that she's a woman the show's trailers and probably the show itself bash you over the head with the fact with enough force to crack your head open. A show that constantly feels like it has to mention the main character's gender every 2 seconds is probably not going to be good. I'm guessing it's because the showrunners want to call any criticism or dislike it gets sexism rather than admit they made a bad show.

In episode 1 she discovers her sister is a serial killer, she captures her sister, tell her to stop killing and releases her. Then it happens 4 more times and the 4th time she stabs BW's father and our "hero" just lets her go while her father is on the ground dying.

Ok so they could’ve taken this show in any direction. So keeping to the cw theme, they could’ve made her like Sara from arrow/legends of tomorrow. Sara is a badass. You want to root for Sara. Sara still conveys the same messages that they are trying to force into this show. It at the point where you have to wonder, did they make this just so over the top to please a small group of people? That’s kinda what it sounds like.

But even going with the Dark Knight trilogy; Bruce made some of his own gadgets, redesigned old tech to suit his purpose, or had a hand in designing new gadgets/tech. So yeah, Batwoman stole all Batman's stuff.

not only is the main character genuinely incompetent in the pilot alone, but i never understood shows that want to promote girl-power but do so in making a world where men are dominant there were more male superheroes in the mcu, but there were alot of females who didnt advocate any in-your-face messages and were well written - because the writers wanted to write a story rather than capitalise on a trend. not to mention by not even mentioning the presence of gender you’re effectively showing how little it matters, rather than blatantly complaining about it

paco ramon untrue; captain marvel never once mentioned anything about women - even carol herself made progression through psychological and physical struggle, making her not a mary sue either. while you may dislike the actor as a person, the movie is quite different - carol could have been a man and nothing would have changed endgame was great at equality until the women scene. it was unnecessary and clearly there to pander to the lgbt boom at the time. apart from that though there was equality, and its sad marvel made a fool of itself in what it did
