This video was made specifically for one dork. Long story short: they didn't believe it's possible to pureplat NSIC without UC/UA/BoT. And they even catched to MY statement, that "Bayo3 connot be Pureplated without it's gimmick and Bayo2 can". It was dumb niggle (is it right word? I mean something not really important that doesn't change anything, but they stick with it till the end), since in my multiple runs of Bayo2 I used UC/UA occasionally and only in the toughest fights, while you simply can't finish Bayo3 without its gimmick (just remember something like Baal's jump sections and Malphas' windmills. Or if you insist on combat part of the game - tower enemies).
Originally I just accepted Chapter 12 horse ride as gimmick section as it is and didn't bother to do it without UC (mana restores automatically, it doesn't transfer to Balder fight, it has no other uses outside of shooting projectiles, so it's called UC, but is not an UC). And later (after the run) I just thought - is it possible to PP horse ride without UC and answer is YES! So you don't need UC to PP the game. Even every time I used infernal communicator (summoned little devils) was just to speed up really long fights. You can Pureplat them without it.
