I don't get how they gave Rodin a perfectly functional block but failed with Viola. Just do that but give moon's witch time and they'd have been good to go.
@@jayguero2123 Her witch time is inferior and redundant, much like the rest of her character. You know what else is different and takes practice? Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa. That one didn't even require a patch.

I feel like Viola is fun for people who enjoy the "strong and slow" play style. The thing is most Bayo players don't, because the fighting in Bayo revolves around and rewards fast-paced action and quick reflexes. Viola is not flexible because of how slow her attacks are, the only way to prevent that from affecting her is with Cheshire's assistance, but then she becomes even less flexible and turns into basically a sitting duck unable to reliably avoid attacks, use Witch Time without MoMK, and if she gets hit once, Cheshire disappears. Yet she still has very low power potential compared to other weapons that allow for a similar play style (Takemikazuchi, Cassiopeia, fire Durga...). Let's just hope she'll get a lot more versatile by the time she returns as Bayonetta
Rodin with Bayonetta's animations looks surprisingly normal. If you didn't put that text on the Torture attack i would have thought it was Rodins actual TA with his own animations. Also i just realized something.. if Bayo 2 lets you change your characters by editing the save file, this can possibly mean if we can edit a Bayo 3 save file, we could play as the actual Jeanne in the story mode.. its exciting to think about.
someone tried to do that i believe, and said that the games code was really complicated it would take a very long time to make jeanne playable in the story mode
i literally woke up and found your vid by accident. ty for the upload, been playing it and balder is op on inf climax lol. also these saves only work on retail wii u but not the switch. different file sizes
Bayonetta 2 was sorta the first game in the series to have multiplayer as it was initially a Wii U exclusive until the Switch release with Bayo 1(hopefully the two follow-ups to Bayonetta 1 would get released on PC someday if Sega and Nintendo actually cared about cross-platform play for this series). Platinum was eager to let the Wii U have variety in third party titles despite it's lack of them(one of the key factors to the Wii U's failure), as well as The Wonderful 101 originally releasing on the Wii U a year before Bayo 2 before getting the remaster treatment in 2022 thus releasing on multiple consoles. Rodin is still playable in Bayonetta 3, albeit in Demon Slave form once defeating him post-game as superboss.
