I'd watch more of your videos if you didn't wear that lame ass T necklace. Maybe time to take a Ancient history class, catch up on some facts? You know what they say religion is like a penis, not polite to be swinging it out in public.

Hahaha the fact that you can make such an ignorant comment and then end it by telling me that I’M being impolite is a little humorous. Would a crescent moon be more appropriate as a piece of jewelry? The fact that the symbol of the cross is so offensive to you should maybe stir up some questions within yourself 🤔 With all due respect, I think you could use a history lesson there sir - if you actually brushed up on some facts instead of blindly criticizing someone’s beliefs, you may be surprised by what you learn. “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing…” I hope you find THE Truth ✌️

Such a Beautiful Young Lady admitting she's tiny! Gotta Love it!! Miss Angel, You and your Dad built one hell uv a custom bike, I am impressed with it more every episode. I have an 87 Goldwing that I have chopped weight off of and still need to ramp it up on boards if I am using a bike jack to get it in the air. Great technique and Thank You for being safe. I saw your milk crate under it to help balance when pulling and pushing on nuts and bolts, I stack pieces of lumber under my rear tire when removing weight so mine doesn't tip over. When I changed the rear tire here beside my camper I stacked weights on the seat when I removed the tire and wheel. It got shaky as I removed the shaft and final drive making me wish I'd done this work on the table with the drop out for the wheel. Thank You Lovely Lady for taking care of your ride and yourself in turn, we who love you appreciate that very much. As for your outtakes? We enjoy seeing you any chance we get and laugh or smile right along with you and NO- YOU do not sound fake at all. With Love and Respect, You are in my prayers Hoka Hey

I love the idea of the second set of axle adjusters to hold it in place. Had some issues with my Panhead pulling the axle back on the opposite side from the chain. If the chain is too loose it eats away the plastic "saver" on the starter drive. If it's too tight it pulls the chain side forward, which won't move so the other side moves back. I really like your setup.
@RedRiderCanadaBC
@RedRiderCanadaBC 19 дней назад
It really works well and means you don't have to make your axle crazy tight to keep stuff in place.

I just replaced the chain on my Yamaha at 19,000 miles. There is no drive belt adjustment on my Buell. The axle shaft is tapered. You put the axle in XXXXX many turns install the belt then tighten the axle the rest of the way . The belt has an idler pully and there is no backlash between deceleration and hitting the throttle. Chain slack is always a pain. Since I never owned a Harley or a Buell before, I used the shop manual to adjust the Primary chain on the Buell .

Red, had to change my rear brakelight switch and wanted to adjust my preload on my shocks.(softail). Same issue, the bike is too low. Put a 2inch board up front and used a regular car floor jack in the back. Was a little scetchy, but it worked. When i went to adjust my shocks, i couldn't get thru the motorcycle jack. So, get the 4 x 4's out. A couple of them and i could let down the jack and out of the way. What a pain!!! Sure wish i had one of those fancy bike lifts!! Lol.

Great video, really like your content. My bike, TC88 Softail, was pulling slightly to the left when riding. Not much, just annoying if taking my hands off the bars for a moment. I use an alignment rod for the rear axle to frame as per Harley manual. So, I tried moving the left side axle adjuster 1/4-turn forward (still within the alignment rod tolerance). Bike rides much better. The belt tension needed to be set too as in your video. P.S. Rockin' the Cross too!! Stay strong in Christ.

Never seen those double sided adjusters before, neat.` I've broken two belts (final drive) using a factory adjuster gizmo, now if i can turn the belt to approx' 90 degrees that works, at least on a 1 1/4" belt primary drive. Chain final is the way to go, gives far more options that out weigh negative aspects. LoL, blowing XX's with greasy fingers, the result of that should have made it to the bloopers!

I bought 1/2 a case of Bel-Ray chain lube 20 years ago and still have a few cans of it.. It's very foamy and very messy. The newer style Super tacky goes on as a liquid but the solvents in it evaporate and lease a drier sticky oil on the chain,

Angel, did your Shovelhead come originally with the inner primary cover bolted directly to the transmission case and the engine before the EOT made the custom mount you were talking about allowing for the ease of adjustments on your primary drive belt drive along with the double push pull adjusters for the rear wheel or was this necessary to put your engine and transmission together? Because on my 72 that inner primary locks the 2 basically in 1 position with no adjustment to move the transmission like that. Mine had the original chain adjustment parts which don't work with my BDL primary conversion, that outer piece for the adjustment was actually missing when i acquired the bike in pieces with all of the S&S Sidewinder 96 cu/in upgrade parts. Luckily the belt falls within the specs for the adjustments without that outer piece of the factory adjuster even though I've been trying to find that piece to try and fabricate a custom roller to go under the belt to help support it and keep the belt from stretching from the added torque being applied to it. I've been trying to check the antique swap meets and online for it or even an inner primary cover with it that i can swap over to mine. Id like to gʻ❤
@RedRiderCanadaBC
@RedRiderCanadaBC 17 дней назад
My bike was a pile of parts when I got it, and the primary was after market... cant remember if it had slotted holes or not, I thin it did though. I think (don't know) the post AMF (1982 to 84) inner primary had the slotted holes too, so you might be able to get one of those if you can find the other things you're looking for.

I have a stock 81 Sturgis where you're supposed to adjust the belt by sliding the transmission and inner primary together... But the factory did not slot the primary bolt holes at the motor, so effectively there is no adjustment possible. On my 82 Sturgis the primary holes are slotted.

Thats a little silly of them. Is your 81 from the last of the AMF line of things?

Hey..I couldn't help but notice the master link on your chain the coating has worn off but the rest of the chain hasn't..is that from using a link from another chain or has that one been wearing ? might wanna check the thickness to see if it's wearing thin.. don't wanna see that chain come apart while you're cruising..
@RedRiderCanadaBC
@RedRiderCanadaBC 18 дней назад
It's just a link from a different chain, so it never had the coating.

@@RedRiderCanadaBC ok..I learned the hard way from owning dirtbikes is to check them for wear and coloration.. gets exciting when it tangles and locks the tire up 😬

@@hambergler9547 sorry,I totally answered your question wrong here haha the link is made for this chain, but I had to order it separately, and it still has the coating… you just can’t really see it in the video cause the clip is in front of it.

How did you learn to do all of this stuff? Do you want to be a bike mechanic as a profession?
@RedRiderCanadaBC
@RedRiderCanadaBC 19 дней назад
I've just learned as I've need to and my dad has helped me with lots. And no, I prefer it as a hobby.

Always strapped my bikes to the lift before doing anything. Even if it's a oil change. The bike just hanging there, in the air bugs me out

With all the bikes you have on the go , you need a hydraulic platform lift.

I have one, but it's got a bike on it lol.

I never noticed that your bike has an open belt primary. I tried a bike with a similar setup. Ruined my left pants leg. I am sticking to a closed primary with a big ass chain.

Lol I've never got anything caught in it, thankfully.

That looks a little awkward backing up the bike like that to get the lift underneath. I've got an old chopper and I usually roll mine forward to do that. To each their own though.

Open belt primary, BAD IDEA. You don't believe it?You will find out. I DID. Little sand and grit gets embedded in the belt and eats your aluminum pulleys up. I didn't believe it either, I found out the hard way.
