But they knew that whatever downsizing they made (decreasing displacement), part of the Bugatti ownership is the sound and since Rimac now owns Bugatti (55%, the other 45% stayed with Porsche), and Rimac already has an electric supercar, the Bugatti is to cater to that percentage of enthusiasts who want the sound experience. At least that's my guess on the reason they kept the number of cylinders. I don't know if it'll be turbocharged, but the preview video they posted on Bugatti's official RU-vid account shows it revving quite high, past 8000 rpm...which makes me consider the possibility of naturally aspirated. High rpm hints for lower displacement, at least lower than the 8.0L from the W16.

@@Roddy_Zeh but 8 litre with 16 cylinders is the same as a 2l over 4 cylinders, and those can rev high it's probably just a looks thing

@@fillman86 Yes, but when the cranskhaft is too long, it can put a strain on it...basically it can potentially bend it. That being said, BRM's V16 was already revving at 12,000 rpm in the late 1940's, albeit with just 1.5L of displacement, so very short bore and stroke, motorcycle-like)...and even the humongous, LS7-based, 14.0L V16 built by Sixteen Power LLC for marine applications can tackle the 7,000-rpm mark. While putting out 1,400 hp with no turbo's. That's the same 100 hp/liter as many turbocharged engines and even some high-revving n/a ones such as the Honda B16 from the late 80's/early 90's. The brakes can just be upgraded, no need to stress over fading. I mean, I barely even use those old muscle cars and even I know they don’t suck as badly as I thought.

It also looks a lot like the real-life Merlin-v16-engined car that someone made in real life. And like most stretched-nose funny cars. Because cars with stretched fronts do kind of look the same, it turns out.

​​​​​​​​​@@aguywhodoesstuff1116its on, i will be comparing the Marshall v8 sport vs the Moonhawk v8 sport Drag race: Moonhawk 14:375 Marshall: 14:756 Racetrack: Marshall: 2:25:408 Moonhawk 2:24:735 I think i have won, you should do your own testing and compare our times these times aren't perfect and done on keyboard and both did a dirty driving lap like cutting a bit of the tracks for faster times but i really tried for both and the Marshall has better handling and its gearbox isn't very fast and i used the manual Moohawk but it can probably beat my set time for the Moonhawk. Happy driving bro

​@@fillman86well there is engine simulator if you want to do all of that again. I have done a 50 cyl engine on my computer which is less powerful than yours, so you can probably do even 64 cylinders

well if you want to cheese it, you'd even take out the windshield, as things like that only add drag, there's currently no way to take drag away when adding parts

@@fillman86 fair, still, that method helped me take a moonhawk 300mph, until somehow the moment i ran out of fuel made the car shred itself

haha more wheels doesn't give more traction, there's much easier ways to get better handling on the front lol having wider/more tyres divides the weight on them more, this means less heat is generated in use. With less heat you can run softer compounds. Generally wider road tyres are softer if you're thinking of the old f1 car, they did it for aerodynamics reasons

@@fillman86 2 sets of slightly smaller tires of the same width have more contact area on the road than one tire, increasing the grip. (but you wouldn't even have to make them smaller on that car, basically doubling the contact area) Yes they do split the weight between them but with the massive engine in the front, i would assume they do have sufficient pressure. This would also mean breaking would be better. Regarding heat: only if you have tires that need a specific temp range, the heat would be something you have to keep in mind. Road tires usually fail when they get too hot and before that don't get so much better performance because they are optimized to have ideal performance in road conditions. For racing tires on the other hand, your statement is completely true (also regarding the grip part) because they are optimized to have maximum grip during race conditions making them even worse when they are around ambient temps. (but you said you are not building a track car. 😄) There is a great video about it where they fittet F1 tires to a track toy and raced it against the same car on sports tires.

I think you can turn on advanced tunning things in the parts menu, and in there is some functions for that that mess with things like "scalebeamSpring"

@@fillman86 Oh yeah it absolutely does! The modding community for it is EXTENSIVE. But vehicle mods are the _worst._ You still kinda need a hex editor just to alter a paint job. The physics system is so poorly understood right now that modded vehicles are constantly sent flying into the air and exploding on spawn. The meshes get easily corrupted. The concept of a .mlsetup and a .mlmask feeding into a .mi that’s referenced by an individual mesh that’s referenced alongside 20 others in a .app file that’s then referenced by a .ent file that’s then referenced by a .yaml file that’s then called in by the game thanks to another mod called Cyber Engine Tweaks (or CET) and then MAYBE spawns correctly …. The whole thing is a nightmare. I’m known as DoctorPortal … and for a long time I was the only one crazy enough to make vehicle mods FOR A REASON. For your sake, Fillman my friend, stay FAR AWAY from Cyberpunk. I beg of you. _Save yourself …_
