That's not to say there's a guarantee that it'll work, but the success rate is far better than betterhelp. It's ignorant to state that real therapy doesn't work.

@@jackrose5077 I agree. It's not just ignorant to say therapy doesn't work, it's harmful information. Even with the "evidence" Betterhelp has provided that the counselors are licensed, they say that they can't deal with "serious mental issues" in the TOS, which means they're no better than a completely unlicensed platform like 7 Cups of Tea. It also means they're in a legal gray area. Building an in person relationship with a therapist is integral to finding the right therapist and ultimately affects communication between therapists and clients pretty immensely. The payment plans also don't make sense. Therapy is something that takes years of work and trust building with your therapist for the best efficacy, and randomly bailing after 1 month helps no one. Betterhelp is a cash grab, their definition of a "licensed professional" is hugely lacking, and their model of care isn't empirically backed. Therapy should never be as murky as Betterhelp.

At first I agreed but after thinking about it, I don't know. I think alot of Gus' brilliance is in his cheap production value and homemade vibe, as well as his editing style. His wit and humor is grand, but is only one piece of the puzzle when it comes to his success.

Face to face therapy sessions do more than over the internet - but there's still some quality counselors on there and it's not a scam -because- of what people misread the T&C to be.

Yeah damn, especially as Gus has said how he takes such care with advertisers.. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but, with mental health at the very least, you shouldn't leave anything down to chance. Should make him, and others, take more acare in future at least.
