As I watch I'm sipping on a glass of Laphroaig 10 Scotch whisky, and this stuff is different with every glass. The peat doesn't go away - I'll be getting the chemical, smoke, and bandaid notes from the peat to the last sip from the last glass - but each time underneath the peat there's a growing and evolving fruitiness. My previous bottle of Laphroaig Laphroaig wound up with a distinct and delicious pineapple 🍍 note on the palate. 🙂 32:26 I've never gotten leather from bourbon. But every palate's different, and I pretty frequently get notes that others get only occasionally or not at all. I often get bananas - just plain ordinary bananas - while other reviews don't get bananas at all, or get bananas Foster or banana Runts. 🙂 39:55 The way to Carnegie Hall is practice, practice, practice. 🙂 When I was just starting out I seriously wondered whether people were just pretending to find all the notes they named.
