Well said, as someone who went through this rabbit hole of heavy fashion consumption I did find myself buying and wearing things that were trendy and constantly shown online. I mean like I was also look at grwm videos. Looking up proportions and “pieces”. And some items I bought weren’t even comfortable. I eventually got out of them and just kinda work with what I have and don’t think too hard about what I wear. For me it’s best that way.

Love seeing that vintage rolling stones pieces. I think it's funny with people how they will jump from one thing to the other and acting like it's brand new. Stussy used to be a mall brand I remember I bought a pieces back 2018 when no one cared for it as much. It's been a cool rebrand they've done. And it's funny seeing people go from 550, to sambas / Solomons to now tims. I don't hate on it because I've took part in some of the trends. But it's a way to get burnt out or find you have nothing in your wardrobe you like

i didn't even know stussy was trendy tbh i've loved them for years now even though they are pretty basic

i often buy reps, but his is a really interesting take, i sometimes forget art is in the eye of the beholder, it says more about the person apreciating the piece than the person who made it wether they (the person buying it) like it or not, but also we have to remember that everyone has an artistic journey, i know that i am on my way to finding my style but it is by follow trends that i evolve as an artist

Its crazy from watching your channel. I've figured out now that I finally got the money to get clothes and sneakers I've always thought were cool they are tik tok trends and basic now lol. I guess the style I found that finally fits me is basic lol.

Reps becoming popular is a great thing imop because one askes himself what they liked about those authentic pieces they own really mean to them. Most of the time its the pricetag and exclusiveness which should not be aspects of personal style

Imagine if ppl put as much time into trying to help those in need as they do buying hype gear and putting outfits together. Hyper individualist society and its consequences everyone just becomes more self obsessed, narcissistic and toxic like a legion of brats

It seems like people who try and stand out by having different opinions and dressing "uniquely" get caught up to in like 9 months max because of the cyclical nature of modern fashion and it makes them unhappy either way. So wouldnt ya know it basically people gotta just wear what they truly like themselves instead of dressing to fit in or even stand out for the sake of it.
