"I saw you change in front of me, that's not gonna get me!" I think you're forgetting that Jaune is still horrifically traumatized from already having done that exact same thing to the REAL Penny. PTSD is a hell of a thing.

Even though people keep saying this is a filler arc, I feel like this volume was necessary. Everyone had a volume to focus and heal through their trauma but Ruby suppressed hers so this volume is focused on her. I'm sure they're are alot of people in the world who feel like Ruby honestly. Also this vol is only 10 chapters so the next one is the last sadly. Still hoping for a confirmed Vol 10!

the only thing i’d say in yang (and the rest of them) defence is they didn’t know if that was a Neo illusion to get them close or not, in addition to it being slowed down to give the audience time to take the whole scene in-it was like 15 seconds but probably closer to 5. I just genuinely don’t think any of them had the time to process what they were seeing or if they did, they weren’t sure it was real.

Heavy tie ins to the past in this season. Just finished this volume. I love how important to the rest of this series this volume is. Definitely NOT a filler volume, especially now. Not gonna spoil anything, just glad I watched this volume. Glad you're enjoying it too.
