I actually had this vinyl album as a kid

The Bee Gees fought the producers of Saturday Night Fever hard not to change the lyrics of this song for the movie. The producers wanted them to say "Saturday Night", not "Stayin' Alive", but the Bee Gees balked, saying there was already a song with "Saturday Night" in it - by the Bay City Rollers. I'm glad the brothers stuck to their guns on those lyrics. "Stayin' Alive" has now become one of the most iconic and meaningful songs in history. And Robin Gibb himself said that the purpose of the song was to convey how people survive the big city. A very valuable, enduring concept for a song.

they wrote this song for the soundtrack of the Saturday night fever which John Travolta played the main role in it , they also wrote more songs for that movie such as ( night fever ) ( hoe deep is your love ) ( you should be dancing ) ( more than a woman ) they are the group that changed the face of music history .
