Beechcraft 58 Baron C-GJKC is seen taxiing and taking off from CZNL in Nelson, British Columbia. This is the first time I have seen one of these twin-engined piston general aviation aircraft visiting Nelson! Hope you all enjoy this Beech 58 Baron as much as I did!

Yes it’s nothing else exciting about being in such a powerful Piston Twin because it’s a pilots aircraft that can get ahead of you in a hurry because I’ve seen a few that have been fatal accidents

Hmm... Didn't Beech take takeoff data out of their AOM for flaps partially extended? This due to rotation speed in relation to VMC.

That is an extra protection for when ice slings off the prop that it won't damage the nose.

Yes to both of your questions, also there is a bigger little brother between the Baron and the Kingair called the Duke(BE60). A very striking looking airplane. The KA and Duke are cabin sized birds.

I think it is the air conditioning scoop. It should be off (and therefore closed) for take off to reduce drag.

I have a BE-58 and the POH does not call for flaps on takeoff. Maybe they missed that on the checklist like what looks like the loose cover on the LH engine.
