Beef Bourguignon, known from French as Boeuf Bourguignon, is a wonderful dish of French gastronomy. The beef is braised in red Burgundy wine together with root vegetables and herbs and served with sauteed mushrooms and onions. As a side dish, I always recommend choosing mashed potatoes.
INGREDIENTS
100 g bacon + ghee
1 kg of beef
3 carrots (200 g)
4 shallots (150 g)
small tomato puree (70 g)
2 tablespoons plain flour
0.7 l of red wine (Burgundy)
0.5 l beef broth
fresh thyme
fresh rosemary
2 bay leaves
4 balls of allspice
2 pressed garlic cloves
salt pepper
3 cubes of meat
200 g of mushrooms
200 g of pickled onions
