How do you feel? Do you know what your testosterone numbers are now compared to before you started? I’m 39. I have noticeable brain fog, weight gain, I do t really want to do anything after work anymore and sex drive has slowed down. I used to be really horny everyday. Now it’s twice a week or so. My testosterone is 437 I have no energy after work. I met with a clinic and they said my insurance won’t cover it at all. I will have to pay 226 a month. That covers weekly injections and all of my blood work. They check the blood at 1 l1,3,6,9,12 months for the first year. Then every 6 months. Any help?
Hi,I am 15 I recently got my testestrone checked and it was 201 ng/dl.I got my testestrone checked because I had multiple symptoms of low testestrone,symptoms like sudden increase in weight/obesity,never getting excited about anything,feeling very low energy all time,never feel motivated,and strangely I don't feel any atraction toward any female(I am not gay)+I have only one testicle as I had a testicular torsion in one of my testicle.
32 years old, started trt. Almost 3 months in. Every week I get my injections, i feel better. I have hypogonadism as well because of a childhood injury. Never got to enjoy puberty with friends. Now I’m seeing my condition reverse.

I am now 65 years old. I have had Atrial Fibrillation since I was 18, it is now controlled by Metropolal. I had HPV 26 Throat Cancer during 2019, and have since been cleared of both the Cancer and the HPV. I have always been very active in my life: Running, Hiking, Weight Lifting, Roller Blading, Bike Riding, and served two Tours in Iraq at 48 and 50 years of age. I am now retired, and ready to put my body back together again. I have Osteoporosis Arthritis all over as a result of the Iraq Tours, but otherwise, I feel I can still work out and be active. I am very interested in HRT, but need to know the realities. I am very dubious of all of these sites on the Net. Please reply.
I'd stay dubious. This is easily one of the most complex systems in the body aside from epigenetics and DNA modifications. If you're wanting to be 100 years old and are a risk averse person, I'd just do a lot of water fasting throughout your life. I have a friend who got on HGH at age 28 and was dead from brain cancer within a year. How was he supposed to know that he had cancer inside of him?
Thanks to you and Dr. Frank for the video. I am a 73 year old, and ring all the bells that point to low T. I had a vasectomy at 24 and a complete prostate removal at 65 due to cancer. I'm 73 also with no health issues, operations ect but my sex drive is low now without the wood in the morning that I used to have, and am considering TRT. My free tes is 39.2 and total 550 which is somewhat normal. My FSH and LH are lower within range. But lately my prostate US is enlarged with a low PSA number. I do not think It is wise to do Gonadotrophic hormone with a swollen prostate.but maybe TRT
@@StillWatersHideaway couldn't stay on , my PSA rose up , now I may be dealing with prostate cancer so testerone feeds it, so depending hubbies health ,age etc. Be aware that's possible, there are natural ways to explore too, exercise really helps too , and zinc too

Two questions: 1) is infertility permanent or does it go back to normal when stoping TRT? 2) Is hairloss affected by accelerating male pattern baldness or do you compleatly go bald ?
I have a functional doctor that has the best pellets which are working awesome. He also doesn’t recommend HCG cause it’s not good for your testicular health.

Great video! I do Cypionate subq once a week and have great levels. Also as you know there is no cookie cutter with TRT. I have done twice a week, three times a week and M-F because of my low SHBG and always felt bad until now that I am doing only once a week. I wish I had started 4 years ago on once a week but sometimes doctors go by what is in the literature/numbers and this is not always the case.
I am surprised you didn't ask about the estrogen effect of trt and natural/synthetic estrogen blockers to stop side effects like moodiness, bloating and gynomastia. This is one of the main things people need to understand from a trt doctor and yet most don't tell you. The levels change throughout the day, on a quarterly visit can be too late to pick this up.
"Doctor". If you're gonna go to inject yourself with exogenous hormones you better go to an actual doctor, you know, someone who has been to actual medschool.
i am 45, bodyfat must be around 8% shredded abs, lean body, very high energy never sad or depressed BUT absolutely ZERO sex drive. i feel like an 80 yr old man, no interest in girls or even watching porn. but TRT has major side effects. dont think just sex itself is worth it...

Wow! From Australia, amazing video. Being 49 years old, eating healthy & staying fit for close to 30 yrs. I clearly notice my body is far from the same in my 20's , 30's in terms of recovery & keeping intensity in training. Every time I see my family Dr, he says my testosterone levels are normal. I heard of TRT & I only hear the positives of TRT. This video certainly open my eyes to the up & downside of TRT, also the best professional who can assist me with my testosterone & the best option for me moving forward. The only question I have is the cost of taking & staying on TRT?
In the US, it is not cheap, actually very expensive. BUT some of the companies that produce it, have a program to help low income people. You have to prove you income to the company, and then they will actually help you out based on your income.
I'm a doctor and starting TRT myself soon. Look up GoodRx prices for plain testosterone. Even out of pocket without insurance it is dirt cheap. However usually a men's health clinic will charge you a ton for getting testosterone, anastrazole, and enclomiphene. Its a ripoff, but regular doctors glance at a test level in the normal range and dismiss you. I wish PCPs knew more about men's health, I replaced testosterone for a few guys during my residency and they felt amazing!

64 year old dude here. Just got back my 2nd blood test results for Testosterone and both tests indicate a T level of 28, which seems shockingly low. I was going to a TRT clinic but taking peptides and then they had me switched to Anavar. When the Dr at the clinic sees my low T levels she suggest I go see an endocrinologist because she has no idea why its so low. I had thought she’d immeidtialey recommend taking testosterone and I asked why not, but she indicates may be something else masking the issue. Very confused about next steps.
Could be her trying to prevent putting a band aid on an arterial bleed. Could have a tumor on pituitary gland or some other issue causing the low test. I would recommend you follow her advice and see the reasoning for double digit test levels.
Wondering why you would go to a naturopathic doctor vs an endocrinologist? I would think an endocrinologist would be much more qualified as a medical doctor.
False. Naturopathic doctors actually work with you to achieve Homeostasis. They work on the body as a whole. They don’t just bandaid the symptoms. Oh and they aren’t bought by Pharma😉
I'm 33, the range my state says a normal healthy male 28-39 sits between 264-950. My level is 254, so I'm considered low. I have to wait a couple months for my official consultation. But I'm definitely jumping on trt. I've been having a lot of issues since my later 20s. And alot of other family line health issues that my research says trt will help prevent.

Total T isn't the only important level.. Free T is also very important as it gives your body the ability to use the free test.. for me, my total test is 890 but my free test is 1.9 so I am getting on TRT an I am 32.
Regaining fertility is average 6 months to 18 months of no testosterone and taking high levels HCG and other supplements to get fertile again. Even on on 250 a week it's not as easy as he says. And your body plays hell with you in this time because your hormones are everywhere for at least 3-6 months. There is a difference between being baseline fertile and having good quality. You can hit baseline in 3 but most swimmers will be deformed, and overall poor quality.
My LH 0.87, total testosterone 200, i feel like crap, i can't even train what i love because i don't get any recovery post-training, my Endocrinologist said "everything is ok" and i feel almost die.

I got sick of arguing with my GP and I know that things aren't right at 58 and have been declining for a few years. Late 40's started weight training and was in great shape but some days I struggle to find motivation and my strength levels are much lower, poor sleep, short fuse etc but I found a clinic and will start with a cream based program soon. I don't have any other underlying health issues so I am hoping I will get back my zest for life. Nothing worse than feeling like a neutered tom cat while the brain is still young and fortunately I can still attract the ladies.

I (M56) would like to hear Dr Frank's opinion of Jatenzo. My urologist gave me the option of using Jatenzo (taken orally twice daily) before trying injections. It has been great for me mentally and physically and my blood panels reflect the same.
I’m on Jatenzo, @237 mg twice daily, which is the recommended starting dosage. Oral testosterone doesn’t see many cases of erythrocytosis, an increase in red blood cells, hematocrit, and hemoglobin. So if you’re being forced to get frequent phlebotomies, which can crush your iron stores/ferritin, oral is a no brainer! Oral testosterone produces higher DHT versus injections and higher Free T versus gels and creams. I do have some thinning on the back of my head due to TRT, but the benefits, more muscle, titanium erections, higher libido, more energy more than makes up for the shortcomings.

I have been on TRT for 20 some years. And if you have thyroid problems in men it is more prevalent. I have the problem of profuse sweating, so the gel was just stupid, despite how hard I tried. The only alternative is of course injecting in the butt. Trust me, it is no fun and I hate it and you would think that after this long, I would be used to it, I am not. Ideally 2 injections per week would be great if you can handle it. Guys who want to "take it for the fun of it" or fast muscle gain, will have a huge surprise and will have a lifelong struggle. This is some serious stuff, since you are altering your chemistry permanently, you cannot go back. Like the cockaracha "vaccine", I think this is overly promoted drug. A money grab by big PHARMA.

I guess if I had a vitamin deficiency and had to do this to keep things to a normal level, then there is no question I would have to live with giving myself injections. I guess I should be happy about being on an even playing field, despite the major inconvenience.

You’ll have more side effects on TRT if you don’t address the medical conditions that led to your low testosterone, like obesity, poor diet, and lack of exercise. You’ll get the full benefits of TRT when you eat healthy and lift weights TRT is a tool to achieving a healthy mind and body, but if you don’t use it to its full potential, you won’t reach yours. You can take several months to get your directions and libido back in some cases.
Is there a safer form of TRT therapy or HRT therapy for black men? When I talk to my doctor she says being African American I am at higher risk for cancers from taking something like a TRT therapy.
You could try clomiphine or clomid as an option. It stimulates your internal production of testosterone and is not exogenous or foreign. It doesn't carry the risk of prostate cancer that TRT does for men with family history of prostate cancer. It won't give you the same jump in test but depending on your goal it may give you what you need/want.
