Damn, that's just the video I needed right now. Been in a relatioship for 8 years, bought the ring and was ready to ask the big question when she told me 3 weeks ago she wasn't sure about her feelings anymore and needed a break to think about us. I can honestly say this periode has been an absolute nightmare and I've been struggling to keep fonctionning, and especially sleeping. I'm gratefull because for once I was able to express my emotions to my family and they've been supporting my greatly during those tough times. I totally agree with the tips you gave in your video. Besides God, I'vs also been meditating a lot and reading some philosophy about stoicism and found out it helps me a lot to keep calm and not overthink too much. I'm all with you guys. Life is hard sometimes, but we can all grow from those challenges.

Great advice and pathway! Very sorry you are going through this and I do appreciate you discussing it. It does help others. Myself included. In a 9.5 yr relationship that encountered a 4 month break this past year. It was brutal on both ends emotionally. We are back, but still working on things. I did a few of the things you suggested- Dove into my sport more, found a group of friends to be more social. I went on 2 innocent dates and treaded lightly, as I was confident we would come together again. I did not want some one night stand on my end to tarnish our timeline. In my eyes. It worked out and I am glad I did not jump into something quick and easy. Solid advice.
Dating situation in US is def messed up. Even you, which is a good looking, tall and a with low body fat guy have to go thru this. Imagine the normal dudes. This is scary. I went thru a divorce once and definitely my connection with God is what made me carry on and heal. You’re on the right path. Props to you.

I agree . I didn’t use all these tools when my kids were essentially taken from me in court from a truly narcissistic, resentful ex husband. My lesson… looking back. There was not a true heart connection in that marriage.That is key. Thankfully I was already on a path of self healing/awareness, etc. This helped during hospitalization from stress and malnutrition following the impact. I lost my home and pets. It is the staying centered and caring for myself that has allowed me to even survive. Looking back the ‘acceptable’ use of alcohol for coping and socializing had to go. And that is what it seemed to take. The surrender and, health, self compassion and love…. are clearing and guiding energies to stay light. Also. Staying in forgiveness and these energies allows me to see my responsibility in the situation, being appropriately humble, as well as seeing the true attributes of the other involved. Then it’s healing. And dwelling on it slowly goes away. I have respect for you to address the basics of it here nicely in a public space. Without getting preachy. Wishing you the best.

Take this as a Blessing Weston as hard as it may be. Imagine if you we’re together married and she decided to leave and divorce you. I Was blindsided by an affair after 17yrs of marriage. We divorced and she married the guy she was having an affair with. I’m alone and single at this present moment. I jumped out there dated but was not ready and made a mess out of everything. My advice is If someone wants to walk out of your life let them. Actually help them to leave. Don’t beg, don’t gravel just grieve and eventually you’ll find a way out of the storm. Find things to take your mind off of the pain and eventually things will get better. The song “coming back to life” by Pink Floyd is my theme song.

Damn, I’m sorry to hear this. I came out here to try to get some help from my old situation. My girlfriend of six years left me, monkey branched for another guy. This has been the darkest most painful time in my life basically from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep 24 seven just mental torture. I can’t sleep I can’t eat I can’t focus on anything and when I try to sleep it’s only for brief moments and then I wake up for a few moments. I don’t remember what happened and then suddenly it all comes rushing back and hits me like a semi truck. I don’t know what to do anymore and I can’t even imagine going on. I don’t know how I’m gonna get through this.

Unbelievable!! How can give up on being married to the most beautiful man on the planet. To be able to wake up to a beautiful face, male or female and to have those beautiful genes in your kids too!! A win-win. Sure, even if you may have to put up with maybe a few things you don't particularly like, it is worth it in the long run, especially to have those gorgeous looking kids. Of course the kids could turn out looking like you, so there is a risk. But you have three or five kids. Most good looking actors mostly come from a medium size family as there is that chance one of the kids will be absolutely beautiful. Take Superman Henry Carvill, he is the 4th child out of 5 kids, and none of the brothers come close to looking like him. For me, it is beauty over brains. For a lot of folk it is the opposite.
I also believe to consume positive media, inspirational quotes, read biographies of great peope/positive role models that overcame adversity. Keep you environment tidy and practice good hygiene. You know, I too am going through something similar; I pray for you and please do the same for me.
