Thank you for sharing your incredibly transparent journey. As a 37 year old that has just been prescribed cypionate, but hasn't started yet, I genuinely appreciate how candid you are. I'm extremely conflicted about starting because I too am in relatively good shape and am questioning if I am starting down this TRT path due to being in a vulnerable emotional state. Whether that's due to outside factors, stressors, or having similar low T numbers in the 500's is hard to say. However, it's comforting to hear that we share a similar story and also to hear you address the same concerns that I have. It has given me a lot to think about, especially from the hair thinning perspective. Love your content and I look forward to more updates on how the lower dosage does for you. Thanks!

@@torqueofthedevil8145 By textbook, you're correct. But that single biomarker doesn't paint a full picture. @@karmatias11 Hey! So I am approaching my 5th week and am set to get my first round of blood work on Thursday. My Dr. has me on 100mg per week split into two doses. If I'm being honest to myself, I haven't seen a night and day difference yet, but I'd be lying if I haven't felt like I've taken a step in the right direction. From what I've researched, this is common for those at this 4-6 week mark & I just need to give it another 4-6 weeks before weighing in on the changes. I can say that other than the few days that I was battling the flu, I do feel like I have a bit more energy throughout the day. Nothing noteworthy, but it's there. Libido hasn't really taken off yet, but I did notice that morning erections are back, whatever that means. If this is just the first phase of the trajectory & everything should continue improving, then I'll be extremely satisfied. However, if it stays like this and this is as good as it gets, I wouldn't find value considering the price tag and inconvenience. I'm very hopeful and feel free to hit me up with any questions or see how I'm doing in another 4-6 weeks. Cheers!

Early 40’s seems young for TRT. I’m similar age and have noticed by implementing a few strategies like ice baths, sauna, more meat/eggs/liver supplement, plenty of sleep & weight training in getting leaner again and putting muscle on again. All natural, only take zinc, beef liver supplement, lots of eggs, grass fed beef, 8+ hours sleep and I stay away from the Dr, hospitals and any pharmaceuticals... 🙏

You're doing it right, brotha. If you dive into it, there's an unprecedented amount of men, way outside the norm at even younger ages, dealing with low test. I agree with you, it is young. Keep doing what you're doing and stick with the natural options. I wish I could control what seems to be age related issues, as I too have been religious about my diet and nutrition/lifting etc. Same reason I went 40 years doing exactly what you're doing.

I do the same, lots of raw eggs, butter, rice and meat. Very low inflammatory diet. With 8 hours of sleep I feel very good. However, if I indulge in day having an ice cream or a Gatorade, I lose all libido and strength for several days, as the high fructose corn syrup in these products kill sperm and testicle cells. I am 30. The modern world makes it very difficult

I enjoy Weston’s content but I have to agree with some of the commenters questioning 500 levels being unhealthy…. I’m 43 with levels in the upper 300’s and was told by 2 different Urologists NOT to get on TRT just yet. Instead they told me to change my diet and add more training to my weekly regimen. I then went to a Men’s Aesthetic Clinic and they swore I needed TRT and Growth Hormones! I wasn’t surprised because that’s how they make money. So I recommend going to a Urologist and get a second opinion from a different Urologist if needed because remember, once you’re on TRT for some time, it’s for life.

The TRT has worked well for 5years but I always have this feeling of “Temporary”. No juice pinning no fix. My issue now is Im anemic but my Hematocrit and cholesterol os elevated. Can’t take iron pills , if I dump red blood by donation I dump more iron. I can’t retire or I’ll pay out of pocket since I would lose my insurance. Everyone is different as you mentioned but I pin both test and HCG daily ( 140mg test/week divided by 7 and 10000 IU of HCG divided by 7), you will be dead even across the board no spiking. A lot of providers don't speak about ratios ( at least mine didn't) but try to get your total Test to E2 ratio between 30-40 times, for example: 1000 total test and E2 of 30. Total numbers are less important than ratios. Injecting more frequently is a pain but you can use insulin needles, something to keep in mind on your journey. Thanks for the video and God Bless.

Free test is more important than total, which I'm going to continue to put more focus on while getting total down.

Been reading loads of stuff saying test is the course and others saying estrogen imbalances and DHT are the cause. Not currently taking any DHT blockers as private Dr advised against it. GP prescribing meds for BPH which I'm sure won't work well together. Annoyed and confused as other than that I've been feeling good , definitely agree with the no depression comment.

If it's 1000mg viles, your dose would work out to 25mg 2X/week. Is that correct? And you're not taking the DHEA or pregnenolone any more then?

Great video. Well done and transparent. Question: why did you/your doctor opt for T injections rather than a gel? Was there a specific reason that I haven't yet come across in my research? To the contrary, the literature suggests that injections lead to T level spikes, then tapers whereas gel therapy tends to result in a more gradual T level build and a more stable daily level. My hope is that some of the high T level side effects such as hair thinning could be avoided to some degree. Thanks in advance and best wishes in your journey.

Man, get off this shit as long as you can, and after three months you still can. Your 500 is high. You got tricked by the commercialization of testosterone. Watch the interview that Ben Pakulski had with Abraham Morgenthaler, where Morgenthaler says that young guys have peak morning testosterone at about 500, and the mid-aged guys around 400 - 450. There are no 1,000 levels naturally. That's b/s. Don't fall for it.

Great video as always. I would politely disagree that 500 is an unhealthy number. But if you didn't "feel" well, that's all that matters. I was hit by a drunk driver in Feb 2021, and it affected my Thyroid and Testosterone. Last result was 274 and Free was 42.5 out of 155 (Your Results utilized another type of measurement. Mine is pg/ml). I'm on 200 mg Cypionate a month, and I inject twice weekly. I just finished Week 3. I have listened often to the "Lifting Dermatologist" RU-vid page and in most cases other intervention meds aren't required, but as you said, we're all different. I'm like you...I'm sensitive about my hair and hoping there's no changes and a need for other meds. I don't need fertility, so HCG isn't on the table. Be well Sir!

500 isnt healthy or unhealthy. its in the middle
@jeffward24
@jeffward24 Год назад
@Heathen Trucker Sorry, but it is Not a True middle, as men today have much lower averages, than did our Grandfathers, due to environment, plastic containers, stress, lack of exercise, processed and genetically modified food, alcohol and drug use, smoking, hormone issues, cancer, excess soy, chemicals in our food, being overweight, medications, to name a few. A 65 year old 50 years ago might've had a Total Test over 700. Today, the Average Test of a 35 year old is well below 400. Besides, your argument is that it's Middle. So you're saying that men should be Zero to 1000? That's not possible. 500 is a Healthy Test level for most Active men...but Total Test is irrelevant, as Free Test, along with a safe range of SHBG and Estrogen is Paramount. But...if you read what I wrote...numbers don't tell the whole story...it's how you feel; I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But I'll stand by what I also said, that 500 isn't an Unhealthy level. No doctor is going to approve a prescription for Testosterone when you record a 500+. You have to be below 300...and often under 250 to be approved medication support. I was at 270 and barely got approved. When I was over 500 I felt like Superman. Under 300, my life truly started falling apart. By the way, thanks for the concern/empathy, which led me to this unfortunate, dark place.

Here from the UK. I recently had a TRT test and based on what the health officials here believe, I am at levels where I should be based on my age which is 42. My argument is that what should I accept that decision? Why am I not allowed to be at optimal levels? Even went private and they are so scared of lawsuits that they refer me back to my GP. In the UK TRT is a taboo subject and I feel I have no other option but just to buy the gels from abroad and use them occasionally and try figure things out myself because I can't seem to get help even if I want to pay for it.

And then just got frustrated and gave up and jumped on trt? I think that men forget how as we age our metabolism slows down dramatically year over year and you just can’t eat the same as you were 25 ?
@WestonBoucher
@WestonBoucher Год назад
Hi Sal! Good question. It sounds like you might be new to my channel. I offer diet and training plans so I'm definitely more informed than most. Always learning, but no I didn't go with a trainer because I've known how my body works for years now and when manipulating my physique for photo shoots and so forth. So it didn't seem necessary. If you've watched my prior TRT videos, I went into great detail as to what lead to being on TRT. Which included very religious diet and exercise before making the leap. Point is, if hormones are off, you can train and diet all you want but they're going to be a big road block depending on how imbalanced they are or are not. I am well aware that you can't eat like when you were 25. Health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, diet aren't new territory for me so I assure you my perspective will differ from some given my background.
