hey, it seems like you are the only one doing good reviews on airsoft components. I'm sure if you did more reviews on different brands and models, you might make it to the algorithm.
Hi, thanks. I'm sorry for the late reply and thank you for your kind comments. I'm hoping to get some more brands in the mix. The channel has been quite for a little while due to some medical issues. Hopefully there will be some new stuff on here soon though.
Great tutorial! By far the most in depth video about motors I can find. Only 200 views tho? Odd considering the quality of the videos you make but I'm sure the channel will grow.
Currently watching video after video to learn how to repair/upgrade my- and in the future my teammates aegs, ill let you know how it goes! Gonna take a few months but eventually ill upload my progress. Cheers and thanks for sharing your knowledge mate, good info is hard to come by these days!
Hi, apologies for the late response. I'm glad your finding the videos useful. I'm hoping to get some more out sooner rather than later. Had some issues for the last 18 months but hopefully that's coming to an end now.
No comments? How come doesn't this epic vid got comments... Toxic community... Hey man, all jokes aside, got two brushless motors die on me (Option No1, and Black Warhead) and I believe it was due to MOSFET/Motor compatibility, either way, they are awesome and way better tan brushed motors. Keep it coming man, Kudos!
Thanks, I'm really glad you like the video. Thanks for reaching out, appreciate it. That's certainly something to be aware of, I certainly didn't know it. Sorry to hear you've had 2 go down. I've been asked before about mosfet compatibility with brushless motors and never really had an answer. I guess I've been lucky so far with mosfet and motor compatibility. Like you though I've found their performance to be great. Thanks man hope you keep enjoying them.
@@rockbottomairsoft yes man, I totally enjoy useful content... In regards to compatibility, I was using it with a Gate Warfet on my personal replica, and changed it to my friends replica and shot several times and then puff, no response and there it goes... No more... Both motors
Hi my ssr9 dsg motor has broke due to water damage and I’m not sure what motor to get, it has a gate aster v2 m100 spring and I’m using 11.1v lipo 1100 mah.Any suggestions
Hola mi estimado, espero te encuentres mejor de salud. ¿Me podrias recomendar un motor para una RPK-16 Lct? Quisiera mas fuerza, mas velocidad y mas disparos. Uso una bateria 11.1. De antemano muchas gracias
Hi, apologies for the late reply. I normally wouldn't recommend anything to extreme on a support based replica as I would favour reliability over outright performance. Having said that though a decent quality torque based motor would certainly work well with an 11.1. Should give you a snappier trigger and slight bump in ROF.
Great information just curious about your comments on damaging stuff on stock replicas. i want to add a 52k rpm warhead motor to my krytac kriss vector 18:1 gears, 120 spring, and perun mosfet. what are my risk?
Thanks, I'm glad you found it helpful. Risk wise your basically just looking at the usual wear issues. If you run it faster then of course the parts will wear more rapidly. You should be OK though. Always be aware of pre engagement but if that's an issue on 11.1 then drop to 7.4 and you should be fine. Overall when I refer to damage its more to increasing failure risk. A fault with a weak motor will be exaggerated with a strong motor but obviously that's only if there was a fault there to start with.
Not necessarily. A lot will boil down to the spring you want to run and what outcome you want. There are generally not many benefits to a high speed motor, but on stock 18:1 gears it should work fine. Brushless changes the rules slightly but I've always found that standard brushed motors are far more effective with high torque. Better trigger response and more forgiving for gear/spring choice. But if your set on high speed then generally the draw should be fine on an otherwise standard box with moderate spring rate.
For 13:1 you would be best with a torque motor in my opinion something like 22 TPA. You might get away with a balance motor such as 18 - 20 TPA but I think High Torque would be best for respone. Hope this helps.
@@rockbottomairsoft yeah I've never done any tech work on AEG's before but it's just something I really want to do. Gbb pistols are easy and I'm pretty sure I could build a hi capa blindfolded by now
If you like working on things or tinkering you will have no issues. The electrical circuit is very simple and mechanically its more fiddly than complex. Just remember if your going for a speed build though have a read up on PME, it can be a problem.
@@rockbottomairsoft just my cqb rifle, want it to shoot faster so it's semi only. I'm not really fussed about these insane HPA guns. I'm not willing to spend that amount, even though I could
