Wheelie Progression after 2 months on stock GSXR 600
First Motorcycle GSXR 600 (1 year later)

its crazy how when you're on the bike practicing wheelies, it feels like you're bringing it up almost 2ft but its like half a foot in reality haha. Your progression getting better. im just giving more and more throttle to get it higher

i did mine in first for few days but the power band is so short! 2nd gear around 6/7k with a little more throttle has be really good to me give it a shot boss!

A supermoto to go with the gsxr would be real good! Be a lot better for the wheelies then could maybe try send the gixxer round the track... good progress tho man good to see you having fun👊

I’m at about 2 months myself with wheelies with no past riding experience. Had my bike for about 4 months. I’m basically at the point where I do one everytime I come off a stop sign or stop light. Get second gear down. It’s much more controlled. First is great for popping it up but once u get second gear down you’ll progress so much faster on your journey.

I do have a Yamaha mt10. So that 1000cc makes it much easier for me to get second gear. Plus the shorter wheel base I have.

Not 100% sure but I’m gonna assume your 2nd gear wheelies are doing what they’re doing because you’re below the power band once you let off the clutch. Not enough power that low in the rev range to keep the front end up. Just my .02 tho stay safe brotha

I agree, on my 636 if I go about 60 in 2nd and pop the clutch it does great wheelies

Only riding for a year? Get some track time, learn how to corner and practice your quick stops. Wheelies should be the last thing on your mind. Im coming up on 4 years of riding. 2018 Gsxr 750. It power wheelies every now and then, but apart from that, wheelies don't cross my mind. To each their own, but there's far more valuable riding techniques than learning how high your wheel will come up after dropping the clutch

Yeh man good points 👊👊 I been riding since feb 2019 been documenting my journey aswell given wheelies a few goes but never really stuck at doing them I know they are something that you will just get along the way but a lot more important things could be learning lol
