WIth thousands of Retro Computer / Gaming Picture & Video files to manage, organization is the key. Retro games screenshots... Footage of gameplay on actual computers and consoles... Lots and lots of pictures and videos from my personal "retro cave", accumulated over years and years. All this in order to recreate the full universe of computer and video gaming in the 80s and early 90s, and to show you every single facet of it!

Great video! I great that you document and share your experiences as long the software and hardware works! in 20-30 years it will be difficult to obtain and get such original systems running!

I will never stop repeating that your collection is fantastic: a great opportunity to record some footage / clips of games played on real hardware! Amazing! For what concerns the games you've put here: I've finally played Loom (EGA version) and it is a great game, even better than I imagined, despite having high expectations! I haven't played Captain Blood yet (I will see your video about it after that, not before, because I don't want spoilers!) but I know that it is a very interesting French game, whose title tune is a sort of cover of Jean-Michel Jarre's Ethnicolor. By the way, I don't own an Atari ST (yet) but an Amiga 500; there I have already tried Defender of the Crown and its graphics amazed me. Since I am 20, I should be accostumed to those modern and more advanced videogames, but it doesn't mean anything: recognizing the importance of old videogames that are now part of history is what I most care about. I love learning and understanding the impact of older titles; the history of computers, technology and videogames... That's not due to nostalgia or due to a romanticization of older times ("once things were better and now everything is trash" is not my point of view), but it is due to my curiosity, my will to learn and to discover and it is also an hobby I enjoy. Thank you as always for these well-made videos; this "behind the scenes" shows the work, the effort you put to give value to your collection and your passion. I don't make videos like yours because it requires some knowledge and time: in fact, at the moment, I only publish simple footage-demos of my collection. My intention is letting my computers and consoles speak for themselves, to answer to questions like: "How is that computer? What would this be like?".

@@GeorgesChannel Thank you very much! I truly appreciate that! :) If you are interested, I also write a blog but it is in Italian; I think that you can use Google Translate and understand something. I have written something about the computers I own, some simple repair attempts I've done, a few game reviews... I am already following your channel and I have seen some of your videos: great work! I appreciate what you do. :) Greetings from Italy!

@@GeorgesChannel Hi again and thank you for your interest! :) You can check the Info section of my channel to find the link to my blog, or in the descriptions of some of my videos. I am not sure if I can paste my link here, in a comment, since RU-vid could see this as spam! If you can't find it, let me know here and I'll try to write another comment, where I'll share the link: we'll see how RU-vid behaves! :D

@@back_to_basic Very impressive collection :) I also have a Vectrex with almost all original games..one is missing:) The MSX is great and the PS1 was the entry into 3D games at that time. Great machine with great games..:)

I know the feel and I know the pain. The worst that I did is my 5 minutes 3D animation : there were thousands of sounds everywere on my video editing software and all the sounds were animated for positional audio and distance.

The only issue I can see with your process is that you spend a lot of time shooting video and taking pictures that might never get used in a video. Such time could be spent making more videos. But it seems like the videos are really secondary, and that your primary goal is to catalog everything that you own.

Historically that was the case. When I began my retro album twenty years ago, there was no RU-vid. The videos came next.
