Tight Sync between a DAW and analogue gear with inbuilt sequencers is a bigger deal than you might think in the first place! In this video, I will show you a cheap and effective workaround!

we spent a long time making the rd9 / rd8 and other behringer clocks as solid as they are now - tight tight tight 🙂

This works great if what you need is a tight clock latency between your DAW and one clock. In this case, the one clock is really, really good, AND the other clocks are really good. Where the multi-clock shines is when you need to sync many clocks with varying degrees of clock latency and drift. Expert Sleepers made a very useful product that was very similar to this idea, the USAMO.

I think there would be another more interesting was to do this , i suppose a midi notenumber also triggers the corresponding trig out , make three trackchannels filled with trigger notes and experiment with - and + millisecond shifting of those notes per triggertrack

Amazing sounds ☺♥♪BRO

The RD-6 clock is less useful. It has some lag issues at lower tempos and harder to set to a specific BPM being analog.

Love using triggers to, erm..., trigger other sequencers... I use the Drum triggers of the BeatStepPro to do this.... thanks for the heads up on the RD8/9 - cool boxes!

Instead of using the ERM plugin, you could also use the "CV Clock Out" Max For Live device, I assume, which is part of the free "CV Tools" pack. Or is the ERM plugin better somehow?

A while ago, I stumbled upon an ultra-cheap RD-6 (on sale for 90 €). I never was much into those 80’s analog pseudo-drums sounds, but then I realised that all machines in the RD series have one analog sync plus two trigger sequencers outputs. Moreover, even the basic RD-6 proudly sports individual audio outputs for each instrument.
@EmmanuelWerner
Thanks man! This saved me from turning nuts! I was bummed the Multiclock was sold out on Thomann, only to realize I just need the Plugin. Works well on my Squarp HAPAX 🙏🙏🙏

Klasse, vielen danke. Hadn't even considered this. It feels so much tighter than daisy chaining MIDI

Have you seen CLOCKstep:MULTI yet? It's the latest entry to the very small field of Sample Accurate clocks on the market and could be a good alternative as well. More about it on my channel. Cheers.

@DanielD.mp3
Love the video! Do you have any issues with sending triggers to the TD3-MO? Mine keeps dropping out or skipping notes unless the trigger pattern is a straight 16ths pattern (meaning no cool interesting arpeggio rhythms). I posted about this on Gearspace and no one has been able to help me there yet.
