So many people drown everything in so much reverb that it's hard to get a realistic idea of what the synth sounds like. Thank you for using reverb sparingly!

hey man really awesome demo. how often do you need to tune your model d? i heard it has out of tune issues and people need to tune it very often.

Thanks. I usually give it 10 minutes warm up, tune it and then it runs stable for a good while. But I usually tune all the analog synths (those w/o autotune, obviously) before recording.

Unfortunately not. The Model D is pure analogue without any preset storage. If you need that, have a look at Roland's SE-02. It offers a great Moog-like sound but with the possibility to save your own presets. Way underrated synth but a bit fiddly to program due to the tiny knobs.

Plus a computer, audio interface, daw for at least 1.5 K on top, obviously. And that’s only if you choose to work that way

Nah. But why not using a good reverb? Just because the synth costs less? Strange logic IMO. Following that approach you’d have to choose every equipment based on the cheapest item in your studio just to make a pair match? Good luck with that ;). I mean it’s not that you can’t use that reverb on other equipment, too. I’d rather have one or two good pedals in my portfolio instead of dozens of cheap to make sure the internet police is happy that the price of the pedal is less than the synth shown
