Hi friends! I recorded this video last week. I hesitated to publish this video because recently I've experienced some slanderous harassment from a viewer/person in my town who goes by the name of Marge Dycus. (not the person's real name) I will not go into the details of the harassment, but it is much more than mean comments. Please pray for this person...I realize that "hurt people hurt people" and I'm so sorry that this person is hurting and needs to lash out at me. (Just think of Saul...who became Paul...there's tremendous hope and potential for people like "Marge.") I am not engaging with this person, but if the harassment continues, I will involve the authorities. Oh the joys of spotlighting cults!
Anyway, here's a few thoughts on what married life was like as Jehovah's witnesses. I share this to give PIMO and POMO spouses #HOPE . 1 Peter 3 says it better than I ever could... "win them over without words."

I agree with the relationship growing pains!! After 36 years of marriage, with 34 of them in, we are no longer witnesses! I love giving my own side of something, never realized how often I just shut my mouth, lol. My poor honey, but he has been so kind, we are loving our relationship now💞

I'm 67 years old and my mom used to read Our Daily Bread to us 4 kids as we were eating our cereal in the mornings before walking 10 blocks to Elementary School! I had a wonderful mom who prayed for us constantly. We all are followers of Jesus Christ today. I hadn't seen that devotional for years. Glad it's still in use.

Hello, You remind me of my daughter. She went back to the K.H. after 20 years.She is 45. Her kids are in College. I was pretty shook up b/c I am shunned for not associating any more. I was baptized in 88. Anyway last week they showed her a film about the end. She cried and had to leave. She said it was so scarey and little kids from the hall did watch this.She said there were men geared up and dressed in black. Maybe there is hope of her leaving again. They love-bombed her when she went back but now is given a mere glance.Please pray that she fully awakens. Thank you.Debra

Jesus, please help to wake up Debra's daughter. Help her to come to know the lies that this cult is telling innocent people, and are causing families to break up. Please Father, fill Debra up with holy spirit so that she is strengthened and encouraged while waiting with opens arms for her daughter to find you. @@merricat3025 No,the kids are "Worldly" Her 3 kids are in college. 2,19 and 1 aged 20.My daughter has decided NOT to go back anymore. She was going to disassociate but I told her that her brother and Aunt probably would shun her and so she agreed fading is the better choice,I like/love some of the witnesses to this day. It is the WTB&T Society that I do not trust.Jesus Christ is my mediator to Heavenly Father NOT 8 men in Bethel. My son,his wife and 2 Grandkids do not call,visit or anything,I am dead to them. It is a sad situation. Thank you so very much for reaching out to me.Debra

I was a true believer JW wife too, and like you I was often frustrated and angry that my husband wasn't 'doing more ' ( he is not ' company man ' material, which I now appreciate.) I put all of my energy into meetings ,ministry, studying with my kids, volunteering to bake for builds and any social function , catering for pioneer school, being a first aider at assembles and conventions, cleaning the hall, cleaning for the convention, showing hospitality, supporting the pioneers when they didn't have a partner, etc and like you , along with so many others, woke up! It's possible for ANYONE to wake up from watchtower . I love your openness and honesty btw 💛

Thanks for sharing this, Ali. I know that I had a MUCH easier transition out of JW's and into Christ because I was with my closest friends, who were all pretty much on the same page. In view of the "two being one flesh", the challenges must be major! God bless you for owning your own walk and the changes He is bringing about in you, without placing that expectation on your husband. Good job, God!

I wish you and your husband many years of happiness. Happy that you are enjoying your new life outside of the high-control organization. The thought that they suggested your husband quit his job is infuriating. Thankfully he was more sensible. I am really happy for you both. Keep sweet.

2:10 I can relate to that 🙋🏽‍♀️. When I got a job they were upset, they didn’t like that I was affecting my relationship with God. You can’t win because they consider things evil and worldly. There’s rent, heat, water, and the electric bill. Food isn’t cheap either.

Love it! I have a family member who was a JW and was excommunicated. She is shunned by other family members who are still in the cult. So weird and sad to see. I had to do bible study, go out on service and go to KH on Sundays when I was in elementary school. My mom’s choice for me. I didn’t like it at all! Wasn’t for me. My Dad was Lutheran so I went to Lutheran church through high school. Got married United Methodist. That marriage failed but later met a United Methodist pastor and married him. He’s so healthy and faithful and the love of my life. Other member still being shunned 50 years later. What kind of loving faith is that? Thanks for sharing and your reflections!

Shalom shalom, yup I think there's always a little bit of pride and ego that plays in the resistance of anyone trying to hold on to something that's been taught and ground into for so long. Typical and normal behaviour. But the Holy Spirit(God Almighty)has a way of breaking into our hardened hearts that's so gentle and pure with an extra shot of love, who can resist. When it comes to the Father, where one spouse goes with a sincere heart, the other will follow. Love the way you start the day, just as the Lord intended. Your smile says it all. I can so relate to the JW true believer wife thing and I am so saddened that I succumb to that. I’m also dealing with the anger I feel that my parents live through the 1975 crap and still let me get baptized as a young child in 1977. I understand the power of indoctrination, but my mother in particular had all of the old literature that showed the pyramid and she knew all about the miracle week and she still let us get baptized. I am so disgusted. I also intermittent fast and I do what I call Quervo and it has been an immense help with my auto immune diseases. Isn’t it astonishing how many recovering J Wd’s are feeling so much better but they were in had really bad, chronic illnesses? can’t stand the lies.

Love that you are so open and share so genuinely. As a sister in Christ I am cautioning you about Jesus Calling. It is a gateway into New Age belief and not biblical. Look into this before feeling good about what it says. Discernment is essential. With love and prayers for this wisdom and discernment .

Hope you will make more videos 😄 I just discovered Our Daily Bread also very spiritual and thought provoking. I actually found my first copy in the bread/bakery dept of the grocery store when I was shopping.

When I first joined the Organisation I noticed that labels were important for "spirituality" like MS, pioneer, elder, Bethelite, etc and that this was what the sisters gravitated towards for potential marriage mates

I'm glad my family was Jehovah witnesses.. And it was a big family.. Lol. 😂... I only went a few times as a young boy... Once I reached 12 Yeats old I stopped... Dad never went.... 😂... He was a WW2 combat Vet... So I stayed home with Him...i enjoyed helping him paint out trees Red White and Blue... And taking care of the Three Flags Flying high in back yard... 😂 😂.... Dad would tell me Most folks need to walk in to ⛪ or Kingdom Hall backwards.... 😂 😂... Dad Say God is with you always.. So stand up for Him... And do right... And most importantly... Live to love and love to live and live..... Thank you Dad....no worries or hurries and I'm still walking slow and drinking water..... Thank you

I think the most important question one can ask is, who am I? “For who of men knows the things personal to a man except the man’s spirit which is in him? in the same way nobody knows the things personal to God except God’s Spirit.” You should ask yourself what it means that you realize that you are a spirit. It’s a long journey but for a start you can realize what it really means to be spiritually. You can also realize what I means to show the fruits from your personal spirit. You also know why you are here. References. 1 Corinthians 2:11,14; Romans 8:16; Galatians 5:22,23. John 17:18 God bless you.

at this point i do have a follow up question to one of your episodes where you interviewed your mum and about her "awakening", which is : at this point, are you going to figure the bible prophecies out according to your honest time and effort ? or with the knowledge you brig with you from the time being a Witness, are you going to scratch the whole study basis you got and start it all over ? have you made any plans yet in order to catch up with the "entire message of the bible" or ? i dont know if i make myself clear. Me personally... i kinda feel and rationalize that my starting point in order to build my search and connection with God starts with Jesus himself. Why? Because the Appearence and Role of Jesus in human history marked the "Change" (from Mosaic Law undone on the cross and Law of Christ began) for everyone who wants to be with God by summing up into his own words " Love thy neighbour ... " + "Love fulfills the Law" ....and so on. Who ever would ask me how do you approach God or how do you get to know him or how do you even start??? the answere is simple : Love. How? Look at Jesus, he showed it. start from there.

@@prodigalAli I'm Christian and have my membership at a local Lutheran . Everyone is welcome and there is no effort at control at all. There are two JW ladies who visit frequently. I guess so they can figure out what to say at their door knocking adventures. They won't stay for the social after the service. We are a nice bunch.🥰

I went with the old fable you have to learn the rules first. I too was wrapped up in a unrealistic world as well, I had to learn to distinguish what Jehovah wanted and one thing I learned is that he did not want me to not use my common senses. I myself love being a JW, and if I had of gotten married early into the truth, I would probable had of been submissive as well. I never been married of course. However, I have learned over the years, and I focus on what Jehovah wants and I use common sense and not take in what all tell me he want without proof

Hi Ali. You always have good thoughts that people can relate to. You seem open minded. I personally am neutral about everything and am always doing research from many perspectives. May I ask what your thoughts are on the Old Testmamant, in particular the story both told at 1 Chron. 21 and 2 Sam. 24? In it, the intro contradict each other. God kills 70,000 of King David's men because of a sin that King David did. To me it just sounds mean and he plays favorites to people in higher positions. I personally think those are stories and did not happen. They are lessons or fables. What do you think? Do you think all the stories in the Old Testemant did happen??

Hello i just turned 18 last week was born in the watchtower but thank god i never got babtized im currently just a publisher..my mom is babtized and i live with her so i still go to the meetings and service not so mutch anymore i woke up a few months ago by watching RU-vid videos about the truth of the watchtower hopefully by this year i will stop going i hope my mom wakes up one day

Hi Ali, good to see you! You're looking better already, and you just got started.! About that Sarah Young book you have. Years ago, my friend told me about. She liked it also, but I it didn't really appeal to me. So, I look at some review of that book: "Jesus Calling," and they were not favorable. Did you do any research on her, or the book? There is one review written by Bob Dewaay: "TOXIC DEVOTION: A Review of Sarah Young's Jesus Calling." Another one is: "10 Serious Problems with Jesus Calling" by Tim Challies. There's also another review by, Faith Theological Seminary: "Book Review: Jesus Calling." Check them out. Thanks For Sharing! PEACE!

Ali in reality does any one religion have it all right every religion say they are the true religion they all have a piece of the puzzle but no one has it 100% correct and that is the REAL TRUTH. Throughout the bible it speaks about mans imperfection and sin. What people call lies are only misunderstandings. One mans lies are another man's truth. I think I would rather be shunned than stoned. I thank God jesus put a end to that. The way of a true Christian is a hard one as jesus showed us. No one religion has all the answers. On the day the lord returns to us he will tell us what was truth and what was lie. So we have to pray we are doing and saying the right thing. I don't understand why a loving god would allow such confusion to exist. Every day I look for a sign that he is about to set things straight. Man can not do it on his own I can say Ali ment this or ali ment that the only one who knows what ali ment is ali. MUCH LOVE ALI

Watchtower would have you believe that all 'worldly' people are evil or at best well meaning but ultimately bad people who will lead you to perdition. The reality is completely the opposite, as I found out and you have also experienced as you relate in the video. Since my wife and I left the organization we have found more real friends than ever we had while we were believers, and our overall mental health has improved a great deal. Kudos to you, and I am hopeful for your husband to wake up as well. It sounds like he is already on his way there.

No offence, but religious wedding is now a pagan ritual introduced in religion. I was born an raised an atheist therefore my religious luggage is light. Shalom!

Hi....I've been a Watchtower slave for many years...I left or faded from them since 12 years ago...My wife still goes...and now, they will close the Hall in March of this year...they have picked another hall for my wife to go to...many many more miles away from home...and I don't want her to go there...also: my wife uses a walking cane because of her knees and legs she can hardly move ... I'm trying to deal with this Watchtower Cult Empire garbage...

No I don’t she has a controlling husband and father they shun me and I worry about her mental health ,,, I married her father when I was 16 years old and the five years I was with him, it felt like I was in prison soi left the religion and then my husband with my two little children, however my daughter left when she was 16 ,,, she is 48 years old now ,,,, they moved to Perth, I live in New Zealand 🇳🇿 I enjoy your u tube channel, you are searching for your truth, pretty cool to have the freedom to choose thank you Shalom

Ali, you want to go back and watch yourself from the beginning. You have changed out of all proportion; you've grown up SO much and you've become such a super, together lady. Your voice is different, you're so assured, so confident and quite obviously SO SO much happier. I know what that like 😂 when I was a teenager in the 2000s for example my dad works out of town my mom had to work nights we would mostly go on Sundays which I was find with but the congregation didn't like that they wanted to bring me and my sister to the weeknight meetings I told them no thanks they don't take no for an answer 😂 😠 so my mom had to cut her shifts for that day if you're Missing they will call you especially when you had a long day of school when the weekend too same thing

I absolutely can't stand people tell you that you should quit your job because it's taking away too much time from the meetings your spiritual health is weak because you are spending more time at work you need to never listen to people like this because if you do quit your job and you have a hard time paying your bills those very same people who were there chirping in your ear they're nowhere to be found and always so self-righteous that they'll find a reason why they're not at fault for influencing you to make a bad decision this is as bad as coaching someone to commit suicide it is suicide but of a different kind Financial suicide

Ali, now you are a true "Jehovah witness" wife. Before you were a JW.org wife, now that you have been baptized in the Father the Son and Holy Spirit makes you witness of the 3. When one listens to a baptismal talk of the JW.org they finish by saying now you belong to the JW.org. What does 1 Co 3:23 say is it not "You Belong to Christ" and Christ belongs to God. I guess for the JW.org they think that it's that org that died on the stake (cross). May Christ Love be with you. Regent
