Being single on Valentine's Day isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sure, you may be hurting, thinking about past loves, or upset because you're single, but this can also be a blessing. Being single allows us to focus on becoming our best selves for when the right one comes along. Everyone makes mistakes; nobody is perfect. Perfection does not exist. Having fewer distractions and more time for yourself can allow you to really take a look at yourself and give you time to figure out who you are as an individual.
