IFHE does increase penetration. Allowing 152 mm guns etc. to penetrate even 32 mm bow , stern, and deck armor. This first week of the Belfast campaign was so easy everybody who even plays a few hours a week should be able to get it if the rest of the campaign is the same. I'm seeing a ton of Emerald, Leander etc. being played. Hopefully they continue for the full line. The game needs it
Yes. I really enjoyed torping them in their smoke and one-shoting them with my Warspite last night. So many noobs giving their full broadside to the enemy BB and most of them will have Belfast in few weeks. I approve
Yes, all RN CL's are glidy. Stop slowly but accelerate very quickly, also maintain speed in turns. also have smaller smoke screen, so you have to slow to 1/4 speed or you will slide out the other side. Also easier to blindfire in smoke than a dd and high rof makes it easier still.
Emerald with Scott 16/2 makes for some nice grouping but Yamamato 16/3 doesn't seem to help the AP against BB's much . It takes more sit aware as I lost over half my hp to a konig from 1 bow tanking salvo . The UK cruisers will def keep you on your toes . Thanks for posting this .
i will actually follow through and finish this campaign as i have always had a soft spot for HMS BELFAST as my mother took me on a tour on board when i was a kid.
I‘m at Leander looking to get Fiji today... feel like Leander has huge potential to catch people snoozing. So far i‘m going with Fraser still on the fence about that Belfast Commander ... feels like not having +1 Consumables is kinda hurting ... especially in the Belfast (the Ship)
@@edytiger2906 You unlock it through the current campaign. You finish I think 80 separate "levels" each requiring 25 renown. You get renown by completing weekly missions... each worth roughly 75 to 100 renown. I think the campaign lasts a month... maybe longer.
Tbull thanks for the new video, I find the Leander is a lot more maneuverable than the emerald. A side note, in a few games today there was so much smoke on the map due to the emeralds and leanders on both teams u literally couldnt see at all. It was very frustrating at times. I realized that WOW has changed the entire way we play the game now/. With so many more ships that can smoke in team mates and other ships than just having a few destroyers. I feel that if this stays this way, bring on the planes!!!! It has really change the way you approach the enemies and move around the map. It's just another thing they (WOW) didnt think through properly. Thanks so much for your commentary and coaching I know that we all have gained so much from your assistance.
Had a ranked game tonight. Sunk 5 of 7 enemy ships (team in total sank 5). Captured both points. Did 120k damage. Led the GAME in points on the score board -- including enemies -- by over 400. And we lost. It was amazing...
I regret unlocking it early. I have ground out the other campaign ships. I was very excited for it, but have found it disappointing. It's a decent ship but I like the Fiji better. As a whole yes, the British line accelerates and turns wonderfully. Overall I think the British line is tremendous. When I head to Ranked I may try my hand with the Leander in there. Having smoke etc you may be able to save your teammates who try to yolo their cruisers. We'll see. :) Thank you for taking the time to make these vids.
The Belfast is amazing she had really good survivability and only lost 1 crew member during the explosion of the worst type of mine, a magnetic mine this completely destroyed the keel (the bottom of the ship). Belfast was also supposed to fire the first shot of D Day but warspite got cocky and fired the first shot. Belfast was also supposed to Have 4 quad turrets which would of give the Belfast 16 6 inch guns but this was found to not work.
Thanks for this view of the Belfast. Looking forward to unlocking it. Only have Emerald so far. Seems to be a little tougher than Danae, but take a broadside and she's gone.
It's been interesting out there. I decided to push for the Hipper waifu initially, so been busy leveling Yorck, which I've shamefully neglected for many weeks. I can say definitively that if you're a Payfast driver, don't sail broadside to Yorcks. That 210mm AP will wreck you in very short order. The Emerald is just as bad as we all feared--no surprise, but annoying. Jealous of Tbull's Hood, but I'll fix that come next Monday.
Grest video. Do you know how long the British Cruiser Mastery mission lasts for? I'm trying to figure out if I have enough time to complete this mission and season 3 ranked.
it's another fun ship to play but yes you need good map awareness, I also got the hood today its a well balanced ship will look forward to your thoughts on it. keep up the great work.
That position in the far corner of the map, behind an island is where you want to put Emerald and pray that your team wins it for you - that thing just wants to explode ( One hit from a BB, Two from a cruiser and four from a DD is all you get)- great to shoot at though - Leander survives longer once you get to it - I am glad they did not introduce this line at the start - it is not for the impatient... Cheers for the films Chris
I've been grinding the Emerald and definitely not the most effective ship but has been a citadel machine for me. It can be very accurate once you get used to it.
@@jameswithey8898 It is definitely nice against DDs and other Emeralds- in a BB heavy match the Emerald will only scratch the paintwork unless they drive crazily into your torpedoes. I would use it again but only if there was a challenge that needed completing. Cheers Chris
Can't wait to see how you play emerald. I usually do pretty decent in cruisers, but I have been getting my ass kicked pretty bad in the emerald. Played Luke 7 or 8 games in it and highest damage game was 49k.
It's a great cruiser killer, I get lots of citidel hits in it (often 2 and 3 citidel in 1 salvo). The problem is it just overpens dds and does no damage often resulting in a dd out damaging you in a gun fight. The smoke screen and torps are great on it.
@@TheLiamis I have actually found the opposite on the dds. I have had great success killing them. But almost every other tier 4 cruiser and every battleship just wrecks me in like 2 shots. And I don't run broadside. Just seems angling don't seem to help. But that's my experience, good to see different views of how it's working for others. I'm hoping tier 5 is better. If not I'll probably never play the ship's.
@@kygunrunner yeah if a BB even look at me I'm dead. Lacks the maneuverability of other light cruisers. Emile Eertan for example is light but handles like a destroyer if not better.
Can’t wait to get the Belfast. Leander and Fiji have been fantastic cruisers, and Belfast (the commander) has been a pretty nice commander to have... not just just for the perks though :P
Is that what all those players are doing each game? Buffing their Dewey? Why don't they buff their Dewey in versus AI? Or even better just don't play while buffing?
Belfast is hilariously overpowered, especially when teamed up with another Belfast to cycle smokes and a stealthy DD to spot for them. I cant believe WG actually put that thing into the game, after removing it from the shop on pc.
As expected, very capable ship. Do you think you could get away with prop mod instead of steering gears to counter the forward/reverse drift, or would that cripple the agility? EDIT: Just checked, no prop mod available. DENieD!
@@TbullGaming The HE means you can be much less discriminating with your shot selection, had a Leander game earlier with 157 main battery hits and only 28k damage haha. It's a good learning process though, for sure.
Nice job. Sounds a lot like the Atlanta. Whats up with the admiral campaign rewards seems like every stage is commander xp. Who needs it? I got like 2 mil. Ty.
Haven't had a chance to look too closely at the missions. Commander xp can always be used to get duplicates and level up legendary skills, so it's not too bad of a reward
Gabrielsen wait until people learn how to play them you'll get your arse handed to you in your noob friendly battleship they are really good pop the smoke and see the battleship tears flow
I was able to get the Dunquerque commander out of a crate that I got for cheap in the store. If you obtain the Belfast you can do the Belfast path in the Azur Lane Challenge and get 2 crates for free.
After running Fraser for a while i feel that Tennant is more needed for higher tiers for survivability and awareness plus the turret traverse is terrible for light cruisers. Just got Mikawa to R11L1 with Sims and Einstein and took the Myoko and the turret traverse improved in a big way that i almost had a Kraken when I used it plus I'm using Einstein on my heavy cruisers except the Baltimore.
Thoughts on this Update so far? The Tier 6 Promotion Order bonus for 1st win DAILY has to have you excited...There are ~20 tier 6 ships in the game, so if you have all of them, that's 100 more Promotion Orders PER DAY available compared to last week...Even if you only have time to run half of them through an AI battle, that's 50 orders each day, for a time commitment of, perhaps an hour (avg bot battle 6 minutes?)??
Zapranoth 1968 sorry to burst your bubble but it’s just the promotion orders for the first battle of update. Still better than nothing but better than only using a weekly challenge....when will they allow PO’s for commander xp? Idk but I’ll be dreaming
It's a nice boost, but as he noted, it's just for the first win with each ship during this update. Still takes a couple of weeks off the upgrades though
@@TbullGaming first hand account I even posted a video on it 3 vs 1 boise vs a team trying to cap...it was not even fair for the other team. What was funny my team left me alone at B to go all the way to C.
Kinda disappointed in UK AP only Cruisers. Only viable against Cruisers and DD, completely useless against BB once they angle just a bit. Belfast on the other hand specced on HE just melts everything.
10.00 for Admiralty backing. So, basically the cost of a tier 3 premium. Not quite free but that's extremely inexpensive for a ship as OP a DD hunter it is.
So, it still has the busted ass consumable loadout that it does on PC, but it's not too OP to sell to console players, but it is too OP to sell to PC players? WTF Wargaming
