I've been on the hunt for a new 3-row SUV, and this comprehensive review of the best 7-seater SUVs for 2024 has given me some valuable insights. The reliability and value aspects are crucial for me, so this breakdown was incredibly helpful. Thanks for taking the time to put this together! Time to start test driving some of these beauties! 🤩👌

I like the Honda Pilot because of the widest width between wheel wells...I can add a sheet of plywood, sheetrock or 2 extra large dog boxes side by side inside a Pilot. I also like there 6-cylinder engine that is likely to last much longer than those 4-cylinder engines in some SUVs. I like the All Wheel Drive up here in Alaska for winter driving. NO CVT, reliable 9 or 10 speed transmission.

I bought the Toyota 2024 Grand Highlander Limited. Few of the Interiors looks cheap, compartment in between driver and passenger is smaller. Personally, my 2018 Toyota Highlander XLE looks more luxurious, it’s my fault though of rushing getting a newer model. Not a happy camper.

Having been in the Limo biz, reliability, longevity and luxury were my highest priorities for purchases. The Grand Highlander is perfect for local Airport transfers, while the Lexus was born for evening and VIP service. If I had to choose one to do both, the Lexus seems like a GREAT VALUE!

Soon to be in the market for a new 3 row suv. We need spacious & roomy, also reliable bc we’ll keep it a long time. Maybe I should check out the pilot?? I also want comfort and I’ve been looking at the grand highlander or shall I go up a notch with the newer Lexus?

How about for your next video conducting a pricing survey of these dealerships, because I have seen where Toyota and Kia were charging thousands of dollars above MSRP however, not sure about the others. Why anyone would pay MSRP or above defies logic.

We also take a few long trips and would appreciate space, comfort & a smooth, quiet ride on the interstate. For those long rides a built in screen for viewing from 2nd and 3rd rows would be super!

Toyota Lexus Only: Most Reliable & Highest Resale Value!!!
@0------iiiiiiii
@0------iiiiiiii 11 месяцев назад
I'm surprised to see the Ascent included-- it's one of the most unreliable or perhaps Subaru's most unreliable vehicle, given that it has an overall ✅🚫🚫🚫🚫 according to CR for years 2022 and below, but even now, it's not up to par. Owner-reported trouble spots are the CVT, minor/major engine problems, engine cooling problems, drive system issues, fuel system/emission issues, electrical issues, climate system issues, suspension steering problems, brake problems, exhaust problems, paint/trim peeling, noise/leak issues, body hardware issues, power equipment issues, in-car electronic issued, and two recalls. Recalls - Suspension & Tires All of the issues and recalls belong to the 2023 model year.

@codincoman9019 11 месяцев назад
Just asking: are you paid by Kia/Hyundai? Because they are very well known clunkers: cheap, nice for the first years, but an issue for the long-term owners. In this top you can easily replace them with Lexus. Japan rulzzz.

@codincoman9019
@codincoman9019 11 месяцев назад
@@carhelpcorner, thank you for your direct, fast answer. Then, knowing mechanics' opinion about Hyundai/Kia too, your approach probably doesn't take into consideration enough the importance of reliability, the #1 criteria for the smart drivers/owners. And I mean reliability (closer to what Consumer Reports is surveying - for the last 5 years), not the Initial Customer Satissfaction for the first - 6 - or 9? - months covered by some other "experts" like JD Power). Because, again, in terms of the overall quality/price ratio, Lexus is by far better than those South Koreans. Is that simple. It's math, not feelings. Being responsible for car fleets - of hundreds - in many corporations, having discussed too with some colleagues and car services, I do have some small statistics on German, Koreean, American, Swedish (now Chinese), French, Italian and Japanese cars. The TCO (Total Cost of Operation/Ownership) divided by the total number of years of usage is by far the best for Japanese cars. And this indicator is the most important from a business POV, as it also suggests the resale value. From such experience (generalizing - by disregarding the specific rankings on segments) I can write that Toyota is the best for the sales & distribution force, Mazda (premium for the last years) for the middle management and Lexus for the top management. The next would be Suzuki for the field people, Honda for the mid-management, Subaru - or maybe Acura - for the top people. Myself I had Audi, BMW, Volvo, Mercedes, Peugeot, VW, Fiat, Dacia, Aro, Hyundai, Suzuki, Toyota, smart - each for many months/years - only Toyota and Suzuki were hassle-free, second being Peugeot (and I had an entire fleet, replaced by a Ford twice-expensive! fleet) and Volvo (many, many years ago, something like 2007). Mercedes and Fiat? Huge money pits! Chinese junks? Never ever! (the commies will never get my money). There is no wonder that today my cars are a Miata ND2 RF G-184 Top Revolution (bought brand new Red Soul Crystal, about 22% off the price list!), a Lexus UX250h F Sport (purchased when only 7-months old, 1'989 km, negotiated 34% off the price list!!!) and a Suzuki Jimny LCV (my best deal so far: in fact, I was looking for a Hilux, but I ran into this one, less than a year-old and 8'000km, with more than 20% off the list price plus few excellent off-road improvements - vs. the +15-20% above the LP that is the current market price!). All of them with 0 (zero) issues after almost 4 years, despite being intensely (close to extremely, track-days included) pushed by me and my wife. As you can notice, I have chosen the best, most reliable cars in their market segments, without being a fan of any brand - an excellent choice, based on Consumer Reports Reliability surveys, Savagegeese and Scotty Kilmer vlogs and my own unbiased experience. Zero (0) issues, not even the smallest - and I'm pretty sure this will continue for many, many years - because I shall continue my aggressive maintenance plan (changing oil and filters faster than at 5'000 miles or 9 months), keeping them in an inside garage, driving them smart etc. All the best!

No one has been paid by Kia/Hyundai. Most car reviewers only think about the near term.
@codincoman9019
@codincoman9019 11 месяцев назад
@@gamingwitharlen2267, then they are not good reviewers in this respect. That's why I like a lot Savagegeese. And Scotty Kilmer is not bad either. The reliability, the TCO divided by the number of car's years of life are giving you the pragmatic reasons to own/use a car long-term. Of course, performance, luxury characteristics are also important, but from the financial freedom point of view the reliability and the number of as many as possible years to go with low cost are critical. To make an analogy, the difference between good reviewers and not good ones (those short-sighted) is like the difference between Consumer Reports reliability surveys (made with 5-years ownership reports) and the 6/9 months Initial Customer Satisfaction surveys (lacking completely the long-term approach, where Hyundai/Kia are champions - but future disasters). The blame is on the planned obsolescence and on the leasing.

What’s with the stupid 3 row seat obsession. There are 3.13 people in the average family in the USA. The average family size has declined from 3.8 in 1940 to 3.1 by 2021. Yet car reviewers/manufacturers insist on having a 3rd row in crossover; and calling it a “family holler" (BTW - the real meaning of crossover is - glorified minivan). How many families actually have 7-8 people in them? Whose family are they driving around? Not to mention that most of the 3rd row seats are completely uncomfortable, difficult to get to and kill your cargo capacity. Plus they add weight to the vehicle. I’ve seen reviews of vehicles like the Honda Passport, where reviewers are complaining about not having a 3rd row seat. I see that as a benefit!!! Look if you need 7-8 seaters, buy a minivan, trust me these 3 row crossovers aren’t any cooler! At least a minivan is comfortable for all passengers; including your exceptional 5 child family…lol
