Thanks so much dude, i bought the gold edition and i could not ever figure out why my sense and aiming was always so off, this helped fix the problem. Thumbs up to this guy
If you really want low input lag, turn off FFR (future frame rendering) that's essentially putting the game to have pre-rendered frames to 2 instead of 1 giving it the minimum input lag.
@@EndersFPS it didn't make any difference for me. But then again, I haven't turned it on after the patch. What did make a difference though was activating DX12 in the config files.
@@jettangeles2707 im having a hard time getting in to the document where files are, im not sure if its becouse i used steam to install it or whatever the case is
I would add anytime you go into the profile settings and change things save it again under a backup file name to avoid screwing up that file without a backup to go to. Thank you for doing the leg work and posting this video Enders 👍
Its honestly mind blowing how fucked the mouse input and settings are. I know I'm about to sound crazy, but controller layout settings were literally crashing my game. My game was bugged and wouldn't let me bind anything to my mouse because, for whatever reason, it thought I was on controller. When I would click on the mouse column of the key bind settings, it would automatically set as 'mouse 5'. When I would try to clear it, instead of the normal 'hold Esc to clear', it was some random controller button. To fix this I had to change all of the 'Controller Schemes' settings in Controller to 'Custom'. It worked for about a day until the game reset my binds and wouldn't let me bind my mouse buttons again. When I went to reset the settings in 'Controller Schemes' to redo the whole process, it crashed my game. I could change 3 of the 10 settings in 'Controller Schemes' back to 'Default', but the 4th one crashed my game every single time 🤣🤣 Since the patch a couple days ago my mouse binds are fixed, but how tf do controller layout settings crash the game???????? Like how does that even make sense?????? And it wasn't just a coincidence, I could consistently replicate the crash🤦♂️
2:18 What does that mean, "actual 360 distance"? This doesn't explain anything for us beginners. Is this the 360 distance around the mouse? Or in game? Can someone please clarify?
Thank you so much. I had bought the game yesterday and I have a HP Omen 30 and I thought for sure I would be able to run it low and it does but the lag is horrible so i tried these settings and it runs good now thank you
thanks for the vid enders. ive a couple of findings i wanna document here. ive done quite a bit of benchmarking in solo custom lobbies as well as breakthrough and i discovered a couple of things. first DLSS does not only increase input lag by feel, it also decreases fps on 1080p while looking worse. second interesting find, running texture quality high and texture filtering ultra actually increased my fps in most situations. once it gets to a giga clusterfuck like it does in breakthrough the performance decreases further than it would with all low settings tho. im running 3070TI + ryzen 5600x.
DLSS was COMEPLETLY useless to me... untill i upgraded my cpu. Now DLSS will boost my fps with almost 40-50 even on quality settings - before new CPU it did NOTING for quality or preformance... (i9 12900k - 2080TI)
I really thought I was just trash at this game, turns out the defaults are trash. Still not great at this, but can at least hit shots I never could before. Thank you for these tips.. It makes an entirely new experience.
DLSS works for me (increased fps) with rtx2080 and 3440x1440p. If you are running 2560x1440p with rtx3090, you are CPU bound for sure and that's why graphical setting don't really do much - and the CPU optimization is bad so nothing can be done.
I'm on an RTX 2080 Super @ 1440p and DLSS seems to do absolutely nothing in regards to FPS, the quality gets worse but the frames don't increase. CPU issue it is then.
3:09 GstRender.Dx12Enabled 1 - worth mentioning, this seems to help some people to boost performance (default is 0 for some reason), very easy to miss because who would even think that dx12 exclusive game would be affected by this lol Also your FoV is off by 0.185669 because sliders are wonky =D

Enders, you can set camera shake to 0 in the config file as well. Just a heads up on that. Not sure which config file it’s under since I’m not at my PC.
I watched this video just to figure out which color meant the setting was off. idk if it's just me but I could not tell the difference if it was black or the green lol But I'll be using some of these tips as well!
Yo Enders, I have fucked around with USA on this game but it doesn't seem to match the way it is implemented in BF V at all. I played with 0 coefficient in V which made my 1x the same as hipfire but that doesn't work in 2042. Had to adjust individual zoom sensitivities to get them to match the cm/360 that I had on V but it all feels way off, doesn't help that the mouse input fix doesn't do shit for me either. Do your settings translate from BF V?
I also have this odd feeling, that this setting is bugged somehow! Especially, I have the feeling that ADS is very sluggish and spongy...compared to BFV it lacks a lot of snappyness I think
@@iRockZ. Agree, I have done pretty much everything in this video already and tried multiple USA coefficients but performance and mouse input just stay absolute garbage. Even on portal with a smaller player count I notice no difference.

@@hiiipowerbass2337 presumably by other games he's referring to, and the sensitivity they use, set by him. Basically if you have one game aim sensitivity set up the way you like, you measure how far it takes to make a full 360⁰ turn in game and use it to convert sensitivity settings to another game.
@@JusJoka I cannot see it myself and it's been proven many times. Even Linus did a segment on it. Got some of the best gamers around. 60 to 120 was huge. 120 to 240 was barely noticeable if at all. 240 to 360 was nothing.
@@painy6588 2042 is really CPU heavy indeed with loads of stuff going on with 128 players. the recommended specs from EA/dice is just bogus. you should at least be running 9 or 10th gen i7 to play the game at an acceptible framerate.
hah! I can top that!! Had a mate buy a GTX 1060 and a 144 hz monitor. A year later i visit him and his kid want to show me his PC......... The monitor was connected to the MB... let that sink in for a minute.....
A lot of people say dice did a bad job with the performance optimisation but if you consider that the entire map gets rendered, majority of models are server sided with good graphics and there's 127 OTHER PLAYERS needing to render they actually did an extremely impressive job. I don't think any other game devs could be able to do as good as dice
What about the portal maps that are normal size maps and also run pretty bad on PC? not as bad as the base game but comparing with bfv for example wich in my opinion haver better graphics, animations, portal runs really bad too.
