I’m probably gonna watch this video over and over and over again! I am about 60 pounds overweight, and it’s been a struggle for me for the past 15 years. I know I need to make some changes I just didn’t know where to start exactly. This helped so much, you have no idea! God bless you and I would love to see more of these videos!

Have you ever tried intermittent fasting? I lost weight 20lbs on IF 16/8 in less than a year. I would highly recommend you Dr. Berg he has interesting info. I never did keto, paleo or any diet only GF, sugar free, soy free and no process food at all.

I have always loved your fitness videos. Especially the sit downs! They are so motivational and I especially loved the one you did about nutrition and kids. Hardly anyone talks about the importance of passing on a healthy relationship with food to our kids. It truly is an epidemic in our country and a huge disservice to our children on so many levels.

I love your definition of fitness, that’s where I’m at finally. I started working out regularly about 3 months ago and following a macros diet. I’ve had family members tell me “oh you look fine, you don’t need to lose weight” While I indeed would like to lose a few pounds, my biggest reason is that I want to be healthy and strong and be around for my kids and be able to enjoy life with them. I’ve gone through health issues and still deal with lifelong health issues but these are things that are helped when I’m taking the time to exercise and eat well.

Aaaaahhhh! I ❤️❤️❤️ this video! I am by no means a fitness beginner, but this was still super needed and helpful, as your fitness content always is for me. I have watched every video in your "Mom fitness files"... At least twice. 🙈 You are inspirational in so many ways. I also am not looking to be "skinny" but to be fit and healthy, and your reasons for fitness are so good! Love love love. Just know that any and all fitness /eating content you put out will be watched by me! There is a ton of fitness content on RU-vid, and there is a lot of homeschool mom content on RU-vid. BUT yours is the only (GOOD) channel I've found with BOTH, which is super unique and so needed for me at least. For that reason I can't relate well to a lot of homeschool content, nor can I relate to the 3-hour gym fitness content put out by 20 year olds with no kids, or even with their kids in school so they can work out all morning. LOOOOVE your channel.

I highly recommend listening to the Schole Sisters podcast about physical fitness. It’s episode 80 titled “Let’s Get Physical”. It’s not about how to get in shape, but rather it focuses on being physically able to do what we need to for social reasons (like kids being able to throw a ball with friends), for safety, for service. It’s much more than feeling good and looking good. So motivating!

These are great tips!! I love that you admitted you struggled with morning workout bc when you said you were gonna do that…I felt guilty for not wanting to get up to workout. So thank you for that “out!” I’m rethinking my time of day now. Morning seems easy, unless you’re not a morning person. Noon or 3:00pm is more attractive to me to try to get a workout in. Thank you for these tips! Also-you look exactly like my vision of “fitness!” 😜 you are inspiring!

Thank you for the encouragement. I also had decided the reason for getting moving is because I didn’t want to miss out in life with my kids or later in life with grandkids. I don’t want to sit on the sidelines because my body can’t do what I want it to.

It is so easy to modify your meal ideas for a WFPB diet since you eat way cleaner than the SAD! So vegans/vegetarians/plant-based friends, don’t overlook her meal ideas as it is easy to sub😊 I enjoy the fitness content! I need to start exercising regularly again. I need to set the alarm for 4:30 and get my booty out the door to walk before my husband and kids wake up and need me! ETA: I love the part you included on the “why.” So important for any long term goal.

My fitness journey started last year when I wanted to lose left over baby weight and tone up. However, the last few months my reasoning has changed because I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. My doctor recommended I try keto diet so that is what I have been doing and I feel a lot better! & now that I have the mindset that I’m literally eating for my health, it makes it a lot easier to stay on track. I love your fitness videos & I hope that you keep them up!

Thanks for the tips! I am trying to become healthier and started working out 3 weeks ago and watching what I eat. Fell off the wagon this week. Working full time graveyard shift, homeschooling two boys and finding time to sleep has always made it hard to get into this habit. But I am going to jump back on it today.

I fell off the wagon too. I lost 20 lbs this year, had some health issues and gained it all back. I got sooo discouraged and I have to lose a total of 60 lbs. I'm getting focused again now.

My doctor just put me on gluten free/dairy free 2 weeks ago. I have always had problems with bloating and swelling over the years. 3 weeks ago I had a gallbladder attack. Never had stabbing pains like that before. My doctor put me on this diet and within 3 days I was feeling so much better. I have not had those pains since. Thanks for posting this. It has helped me out since I am still a newbie at this diet

1:55 hi there! I would love to hear more of your views on the spiritual parallels to fitness. I am struggling BAD in the fitness and nutrition department. I pray and pray and pray but just don’t do MY part. I need a convicting kick in the butt or perhaps some soft insight and encouragement 😬 (Btw - was listening in the car to your video on book recommendations and my daughter (a highly fashionable tween 💁🏼‍♀️) said “Oh my gosh! She is sooo pretty 🤩 “ I immediately thought “I’m gonna tell her that.” Lol 😉

I wish we had a Trader Joe’s closer to us. We go when we’re in the suburbs, though. So your trader Joe hauls and “what you get there” are soooo helpful to me. We only get to go there a few times a year. The cauliflower rice looks good! Did it have a spiciness to it?

This was very helpful and encouraging! Im on a weight loss journey right now and am feeling a bit discouraged with my progress. Im eating clean and have had almost no "unhealthy" foods this month (even on vacation), but the scale is stagnant😭 remembering that weight loss is only one aspect of healthy nutrition helps me see non scale victories like increased energy, no bloating, or inflammation. I'd love more videos like this. Did you ever deal with insulin resistance? I had gestational diabetes with my last child and wonder about insulin...

Love your fitness tips videos. My biggest and only recent change is my coffee creamer. Weaning myself off of the flavored creamer is big for me. It’s my most unhealthy and not good for me thing everyday since I try to make sure we’re not eating processed foods and whole food options only but I was still drinking that. On day 4 now and I notice a difference in how I feel too.

Ashlee I would definitely watch your fitness videos! I recently made some dietary changes as well. I've been fine tuning that area, but keeping my fitness at a basic level that I've done for years, to give myself time to adjust to a differnet way of eating. Once I feel like I have the eating completely transitioned, I will be ready for some new fitness ideas. :) Your content is always motivating!

Those fitness goals are so reasonable and functional. I'm thinking along the same lines, as well as working on healing my gut. For that reason, I will be going on super low sugar, no grain diet. Have you tried the Bellway protein powder in chocolate? Wondering about the taste. Any other suggestions are welcome!

I’ve been a registered dietitian for 10 years and say the SAME exact thing to my patients and clients. It’s truly the best advice! Thanks for sharing the body positively aspect too, we’re not all the same size and shouldn’t all look the same. Great video as usual!

Before my second kid I didn't struggle with eating right, but after I had her and postpartum depression It's been so hard to eat clean. I don't eat super bad, but not as discipline as before. 😕

Thank you!! I am in a transition with my fitness and nutrition. I am an all or nothing personally. In my 20's I had the energy and drive to do high intensity programs. In my 30's I just am not there! I keep beating myself up because I just keep failing in these high intensity programs I keep trying. I have to accept where I am and find what works for ME in this stage!

I've had to do that too. I was super active until my youngest was born. He is special needs and has taken a lot of my time and energy. I've finally learned that I am just going to have to change the style and length of my workouts.

This was an amazing video! I cant stand working out in the morning either. Mid morning is ideal for me. I actually got the idea of trying it when I noticed you work out after homeschool is over. Why do we feel like we have to fit in a box? I love my "slow" mornings (coffee, bible reading, being available for my kids to chat about their dreams, lol) it's so much easier to stick with something you love (cardio belly dance videos on youtube lol) at a time you feel the most energy!
