Wow! Benzoyl Peroxide never causes any sort of dryness or flaking at all but more often than not Salicylic Acid will cause me to flake and become really dry so fast. Strange because most people have the opposite problem but I guess everyone's skin is different.
My skin is very sensitive. Tea tree oil caused severe itchiness and redness on my skin whereas i never faced such problem using salicylic acid and i had slight stinging sensation on the first application of benzoyl peroxide but never irritated my skin as tea tree oil.
Salicylic acid (BHA acid) is the best for acne-prone skin, but can also be used for a combination skin, will help hyperpigmentation. Glycolic acid (AHA acid) is also great as it will help to hydrate the skin, improve complexion, reduce wrinkles, cleanse the skin. These two can be combined (i do not know what type of product you are going to use). If you do not have very oily skin - try to use it at night, see how your skin will like it. Using this products, it is not recommended to tan, use SPF if needed. As for tea tree oil, it is anti-bacterial and if you do not suffer from acne, i would say it is not a necessary ingredient. Acids are powerful on their own already, especially if you use two. P.S. I was talking about acids in a face wash. If you will ever do them as a peeling, start with one only, do not combine; do them in courses. Use SPF. If you have any questions, let me know.
Morgyptian I will upload a video with all the products I am using to treat acne (and they helped me a lot) in a few. May be you can check if you'd like to try something.
