I TOOK MY MOTOR ACROSS SAMAR TO TACLOBAN LEYTE...
In this video, we start by exploring Catbalogan City, the Capital of Samar. I finally found out about the local fish market, and decided to take a look! Turns out there are lots of shrimp, dried fish, and all sorts of fun friendly vibes. Really enjoyed sharing positive moments with Waray locals! From the market, I head to Tony's Kitchen, an old restaurant that serves many classic Filipino dishes. I end up trying their famous lomi... definitely one of the best in this part of the Philippines!
From Samar, I make my way toward Tacloban, and end up crossing San Juanico Bridge. Which isn't the longest bridge anymore in the Philippines.
Back in Tacloban, I catch up with Bukid Outdoor shop friends, and plan for my next adventure!
The Motor trip across the Philippines continues...

Kulas, thanks for coming to my part of my countryside, Samar & Leyte. My father was from Basey, Samar, & my mom was from Hindang, Leyte. Our ancestral home is live & well standing still in Hindang. We used to have a house in Cebu City, since me & my other siblings were born there. Leyte, is a nice place to live, although it's getting crowded now, with the population is growing, like any other provinces in the Philippines. Thanks for coming back to visit our province in Leyte, as I like following your travels all over the Philippines. What I miss to eat during my visit there in May of this year 2023, is the" Bukhayo " in the coconut shell. It has been a long time since I have eaten one of those. My all time favorite is when you mingled with the locals and sharing their stories. Not matter where you are, smiles are everywhere. The lomi looks delicious and of course pancit and bread, good combo. Love it!😊

Yes Kulas, the answer of the longest bridge in the Philippines as of the moment is Cebu which has a length of 8.9 kilometers compared to San Juanico bridge length is only 2.16 Kilometers.

FUN FACT: The Spanish style mansion you passed by used to be American General Douglas MacArthur headquarters and temporary seat of power after US liberated Philippines from Japanese occupation. The Americans stayed in this property during the campaign of the Allied Forces. It was owned by a US Army engineer Walter Price. There are still memorabilia inside and a preserved hole made by a Japanese bomb. I heard that they use the mansion now for formal functions such as weddings.

They had those alimasag on the market which is a blue crab 🦀🦀🔵🔵🔵 And they sell those fishes 🐟🐟🐟 And the guy is strong who was 53 who was a same age as my Dad because he eats fresh fish that make him stronger 🐟🐟🐟 And you had a lomi on the eatery 🍜 And they put liver on the lomi 🍜🍽🍴🥄 And you had an ube mamon on the bakery. And they sand on the beach like in Manila that they put dolomite on the park. And you passed San Juanico bridge a dozen times and it is a high bridge 🌉
