@@natec9719 almost any college sport is better than the pros because pretty much every state has a major college, which makes it way more passionate because most people want to pull for their state team. Instead of like me, I live in Alabama and we dont have any major sports teams. That is why college football is such a BIG DEAL here! There is nothing else for us to root for and go to the games and stuff unless we want to take a 4 hour drive to Atlanta or Nashville.
I was at the world record for loudest outdoor roar set by the 2014 Chiefs: 142.2 dB. I was at the world record for loudest indoor roar set by the 2017 Jayhawks: 130.4 dB. 9:22 -- Thomas Robinson's block of Phil Pressey in the final KU-MU Border War is FAR AND AWAY the loudest crowd roar I have ever heard.
I was at the KU vs Mizzou game it was so loud my ears where ringing like it alms oh became quiet how loud it was, Isabel comeback crazy block and one of the last times we will ever play them it was insane!!
Nicklas Kubat Assembly Hall does get pretty crazy but the Allen Fieldhouse has long earned the title as the loudest college arena. It's deafening. The Allen Fieldhouse once hit 122 in decibels. Once the ball is tipped, there's not a louder college basketball arena.
4:31 was the best one.... The UVM chants half of which were fans of another school who stuck around after there game or are waiting on there game and wanted to root for a upset. Then on the 3 was not a loud cheer but a even better AHHHHHH... Teams coming together is heart warming. That was dope
The loudest crowd I ever heard was Cole Field House in 2002, when Steve Blake stole the ball from Jay Williams for a layup at the halftime buzzer. The tension and stakes for those games had accrued for a few years and the level of play was high. It was an early afternoon game too. As decibels go I’m sure it didn’t break records but in real time I just cannot describe how loud it was. In fact part of the steal itself was because just prior, it was still so loud then that Williams kept looking back at Coach K to hear the play. I’m biased of course, but for a few hours, the earth shook.
When I saw the title of the video the first thing I thought of was the first clip, the Marco Killingsworth breakaway dunk against Duke. Crowd was insane.
That last one between Duke and Virginia Tech: i remember this one. Duke was #1,and it was Va Tech's first year in the ACC. This was the first time i had ever seen fans storm the field when the #1 team won the game.
Yo Mitch Drabenstott, good video and all but you forget about Mackey Arena home of the Purdue Boilermakers. The place is that loudest NCAA basketball arean in the country when things are crazy.
For Iowa St. The comeback against Iowa was MUCH louder than the Naz Long buzzer beater. If you ever do another one of these lists, that should definitely be on there. (Good list though)
What about UNC's 8 points in 17 seconds against Duke, in Carmichael Auditorium? Went from you being able to hear a pen drop to you being able to hear cheers on the far side of the parking lot...
