Love seeing Voxengo software on this channel. Their simple interfaces belie some very high quality processing. Recently discovered Teote and its remarkable. Definitely not a blanket betterizer and could def ruin a mix in the wrong hands, but it can really reveal a lot and make you approach things differently. Been eager to try some more of their plugins

Is there a cheaper plugin that can get similar results? Such as transparently compress the low end the way the Weiss does with internal sidechain etc? Thanks

I find that the default settings on the L2 work great. Obviously, you have to change the amount of gain you're sending into the L2. But I never touch the attack, release, or lookahead. I will usually change the algorithm to Transparent. I believe the default setting is Modern.
What’s the name of the song being mastered? Great video as always. This channel has helped me understand mixing/mastering, especially since I do my best to work on everything. I’m getting confident enough to start helping my friends with their music. 💪

Is the Tone Empire Black Q2 or Voxengo Tube Amp similiar to any of the plugins you have mentioned for adding tube warmth. Are you using the (Saturn2) instead of adding tubes? thanks, love your channel.
Thanks for watching Ashley! They're similar in that they add harmonics, usually a strong second order harmonic when emulating tube. I typically use Saturn 2 for these videos, but Tube Amp and Black Q2 are also good options. SageAudio.com
