Outside his career in music, Dickinson is well known for his wide variety of other pursuits. Most notably, he undertook a career as a commercial pilot for Astraeus Airlines, which led to a number of media-reported ventures such as captaining Iron Maiden's converted charter aeroplane, Ed Force One, during their world tours. Following Astraeus' closure, he created his own aircraft maintenance and pilot training company in 2012, Cardiff Aviation. Dickinson presented his own radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music from 2002 to 2010, and has also hosted television documentaries, authored novels and film scripts, created a successful beer with Robinsons Brewery and competed at fencing internationally.

Iron Maiden are the greatest metal band of all time, they've got a huge history, huge fan base, gigantic catalogue of music, I love every album they've made all the way back to iron maiden, killers which was with Paul Diano, he was the vocalist on those two albums, Bruce Dickinson came in on the 3rd album the number of the beast, then piece of mind, power slave, somewhere in time, seventh son of a seventh son, no prayer for the dying, these are just some of their albums, you've gotta see and hear live after death in long Beach arena, amazing performance. I absolutely love this song. Great reaction!✌️

....the song came out in 1993 but this live performence is from 2001.....most of their Live Concert Videos/DVD are cut and edited by Bassist Steve Harris himself...excellent job....Brian...sorry, Bruce is the best showman ever😅

The Trooper, Dance of Death, Wasted Years, The Evil that Men do are my favourites. All three guitarists play a mixture of lead and rhythm. They are all very accomplished.

The crowd adores them and the band adores them back!!

Pual Diano was the vocalist on their first 2 albums. Nicko Mcbrain is their 2nd drummer, Clive Burr was the drummer on the first 2 albums. Keep listening to more Maiden! That crowd has 250.000 people in it too. I can't even imagine that amount tbh. It's like a city of people, all singing along and rocking to the song.

Number of the Beast is a good one, I'd suggest going 1982 Beast Over Hammersmith show for that one. And if you want one for the laughs, in 1987, they appeared on a German tv show - the band thought they were performing, but they got told at the last moment that they were expected to lip sync to the studio recording of Wasted Years. Well, they didn't like this one bit, but it was too late to back out, so they decided to troll the tv people by switching instruments all song! Video quality isn't great, but it's funny as heck. First time I saw Maiden was the Killers tour at Long Beach arena they opened for UFO. I've been hooked ever since.

I'm from Sicily. Saw them live almost 25 times, from 1987 to 1998. No One like Iron Maiden! Their live are jist over the top. Bruce Dickinson Is a PhD in english litterature, that's way he can ephatize the words the way he do, like a poet! ,

This wasn't filmed in 1993. Adrian wasn't in the band at that time. This is actually from 2001. This was on the Brave New World album tour.

This is not 1993, it’s 2003. The ”Dance of Death” World Tour. This lineup, with Adrian Smith as third guitarist, happened in 1999. Short haired Bruce also rejoined the band at the same time.

You should check out the group Heilung. They are truly something else. Nordic folk music at its best and sometimes heaviest. Their songs Alfadhirhaiti and In Maidjan live, or their MV for Norupo are pretty good places to start

Niko Mcbrain is a very underrated drummer (he can hit those things) and drive the band (always a band they actually demand that no one man show we are a BAND)

Please check out the early Iron Maiden son "Phantom of the Opera" from their first album in 1980, different singer, guitarist and drummer, but they set the stage for what was to come, you won't be disappointed.

Maiden are one of the greatest metal bands ever!!! They were definitely upgraded when Bruce took over on vocals!! When you want to explore some southern rock I would love to get your reaction to some Molly Hatchet. Songs like Dreams I'll never see, Fall of the Peacemakers, Flirtin with disaster, Bounty Hunter, Gator Country and many more. The greatest southern rock band next to Lynyrd Skynrd. Growling vocals, three guitarists that can play lead backed up with great bass & drums. Please try to squeeze in some Molly Hatchet, I promise that you’ll glad you did!! Thanks!!!

The pinched note that you’re talking about during the first minute or so was, I think, the first time he’d done that. Having 3 guitarists meant they could add extra layers they’d not been able to before (Fear was recorded when they had just 2 guitarists). If you listen to every live version since this one it’s much clearer. I love it, such a small detail that adds so much.

I first saw Maiden with the original singer Paul DiAnno and they had the energy then, Bruce is a great singer and a showman, Janick Gers is the newest band member and a real showman guitarist, Dave Murray is the other playing a black strat, then Adrian Smith is playing the white strat, he joined in 1980 and split the lead with Dave. Adrian went off for a while doing solo stuff and Janick came in, when Adrian came back they kept Janick as he is such a good showman
