When you really think about it Brock is a good soldier and and super spy. He is however a terrible Bodyguard, yes some of the deaths are not his fault. Really it's Doc for bringing them on this deadly adventures but even then it's not his fault either. Sort of. It's all he knows because of his own messed up life by his own asshole dad. But a good chunk of the deaths are by the boys own faults. Although Brock sometimes isn't always around and even left Doc in a party full of super villains because he was bored. Regardless of GUILD rules.
I have not watched any of the episodes in full but with them mentioning "it's like he channel dead people" and "you think it's a cry for help?" Always made me suspect that it was not referring to Hank crying for help, but Jonas
until that one scene when they are interrogating rusty and he tells hank that he sympathizes more with Hank than he does with Dean. Stating that he sees more of himself in Hanks rebellious behavior than he does in Dean and that Dean should have been the "boy adventurer" because he "believes in it".
@@tannerkocer7123 Not sure but Brock's line might actually be a reference to The Necroscope by Brian Lumley. It's a supernatural spy novel series about an agent who does channel dead people and he even allowes some of them to possess him. It's a little far fetched though.
my favorite brock dad moment is when the sphinx guys are talking about how they all had to make sacrifices and brock brings up not being able to tell the boys they were safe
You know brock is a way better dad than doc, If the kid's were missing the only person who was actually concerned was brock, but doctor venture said"fine"
G TV well to be fair getting kidnaped doesn't really mean anything to him probably half the rules regarding kidnaping where made because of him and because of those rules he knows the boys will be treated relatively well and will come back in a day or two after there ether rescued or ransomed hell hank will even enjoy the experience
@@gabe.network3645 yea Because in his twisted world getting kidnapped is like going for a slumber party they get back and he’s like did you brush your teeth you didn’t stay up to late did you
Hank did pass the training that Gathers whipped up to try and break him. Boy did he ever try to break him... But he still came through. Also that episode where he ate a bunch of mushrooms and became the Batman, showing he could kick some ass, too... Hank honestly has a ton of potential, is somewhat competent in a fight and if the series ever continues, hell I could see him in the OSI easily along with Dermot.
Well, they did die and were never revived. The clones are like twins of the other ones but with fake memories implanted in. They are technically different people. The kids died a long time ago, and more kids are dying each time. Why not save them?
What is with Adult Swim canceling shows one season too soon. They do it like all the time. Any show that reaches critical acclaim they kill it. Metalocalypse being the other well known one. It's like they cancel these shows because they know they'll only get one more season and if the show logically ends viewership might wane. Idk. It's really wierd tho.
You know when you realize the monarch and rusty are blood related, half way anyway, and JJ you can tell history repeated itself with Hank Dean and dermit
That's a horrifically accurate connection you've pointed out between the two trios; Rusty is the Dean, JJ is the Hank and Monarch is the Dermott of the trifecta especially when you compare their relationships to eachother Christ on a cracker it's just like you said "history repeats itself"
I like how ever since they stopped cloning hank and dean and started to be themselves, they both had better development as the series goes. Hank started to be more confident towards himself and acts more brave then when he was still cloned. I mean he even has more physical improvement then dean does, being more in following brock then rusty. On the other side, dean has been turning more into rusty as hes more serious and takes everything more carefully then be used to, being a bit more pessimistic and smarter as he gies on like rusty.
Give Hank some credit, his Monarch henchman disguise was actually very well done. I know Doc Venture has always seen Dean as the smart one, but Hank is way faster to pick up on stuff and has a pretty good record of quickly gaining street smarts, which in the world of arching is probably more important that the super-science smarts that Doc keeps trying to force into Dean. Also, "I have a confession, Hank. I only like the Batman because he has the best villains!" That's very much true of a whole lot of people IRL as well
Brock is a great dad, Helper is a good mom, and Rusty is a weird uncle that only did bare minimum parenting of his kids so that Brock won't beat him up.
Love how Brock doesn’t need to guard the venture bros what so ever, but he still takes it pretty seriously. Loved the episode when doc got himself stuck in a wall, and he & Brock were laughing at all the ways they died.
When Brock left, they looked to Sergeant Hatred as a father. When Sergeant Hatred left, they looked to Rusty. All they had left was each other, and in doing so became their own men.
the way the assassin genuinely looks like he feels bad for lying to hank about his love of batman is hilarious. his take on the best villians is so right tho
a Brock-dad moment i love is when the venture family had a hit on them, and when Brock mostly secured Doc (he was still slowly bleeding to death and lost his arm) he left, full nude, covered in blood, and raced to Hank and Dean, despite just being “fired”
Brock's eyes Season 1: Blue Orbs Harbringing Death Brock's eyes Season 4: Kiss kiss fall in love! Brock's eyes Season 5: Harbingers of Death, but in black
He's more of a mom then a dad because if you think about he gotta mama bear tendencies and treats them like how a mom would not to mention that the way he acts towards them vs how he acts towards dr.venture pure mom instincts and lastly but definitely not the least how angry he gets when those boys are in trouble
The Venture Bros is hands down the best adult animated series, ever. It blends action, drama and comedy, and does it effortlessly, without feeling forced or ham-fisted. World-building is also on a next level. And best of all, there are no "life lessons" or "in your face" political messages in any of the episodes. It's pure entertainment and did not dip in quality once throughout it's entire 7 season run. I don't understand how this once-in-a-lifetime show could be so underrated and ultimately canned.
I once got this weird feeling that Brock is actually hank’s secret biological father and he slept with Dr. venture’s wife making hank and dean half brothers but then I realized that they were twins
I mean- it's physically POSSIBLE, if she did them back to back. It's more of a timeline issue, Brock started working at the compund after Hank and Dean were born.
@@rocksciii But Brock did know Rusty back in College, it is possible the boys were made at a college party with Brock and Doc right before Doc left to take over Venture Industries and Brock got enlisted by OSI. Remember technically the boys are a bit younger than they should be due to their age being stagnant for a bit due to all the cloning.
I really hope if we get anymore Venture brothers stuff its gonna be about hank becoming the next Sovereign of the guild. He's perfect, he's a blonde weirdo that is obsessed with a celebrity to the point he dresses like them. He's just like the old guy, also Hank can carry on the Venture family legacy without being a super scientist, and rember one of the only organizations Brock respects is the Guild. Imagine how proud Brock would be if Hank became one of the highest members of the only organization he respects
'Ah, what a fascinating Puritan you are, Lady Windermere ...' Ever feel like Brock missed his real calling in life - treading the boards as an actor in the theatre? :D
"I feel like that Jewish guy who lost all his powers when they cut his hair off." "Samson?" "Lenny Kravitz! It's not all about you, y'know." I just spit coffee! Also, is Brock actually Jewish, or is Hank just being Hank?
No but he was referring to the tale of Samson and Delilah Who was a Jewish man that Who had superstrength so long as his hair wasn’t cut and he didn’t drink. The biggest evidence of Brock not being Jewish is him participating in Christmas even dressing up as Santa Claus
@@AviatrixDown did you know the He’s related ash Williams from evil dead sort of it’s talked about in a poker video game which they both are guest characters. Basically Brock is a descendent of a Bastard child he made in army of darkness back in the past.
The only clip missing would be when explaining their motivations for (I wanna call it) reincarnating Sphinx Brock says his sacrifice was “Living next to the boys for a year and not being able to tell them they’re safe.”
