I love that he gets so pissed off at himself, but always seems to go for the handshake, try and calm down, and continues beating himself up. A competitor, but a gentleman.
@@jacobpeters5458 it’s chess etiquette to handshake since it signifies the end of the game whether it’s a resign, draw, dub/loss. Pretty sure it’s in the rules for actual competitions to handshake
5:25 It looks as if Magnus involuntarily teleported there. XD Whatever he was going to do at the other place before being teleported, must have been good. Because he did not seem happy to have ended up there. He´s like: "Fuck. Ok sure! Whatever! I´ll just walk back all the way to the place where I came from!"
Imagine putting so much thought into a move vs a little kid and the kid just walks away to watch another match like its nbd. The level of genius he has is insane.
Kids have different minds to adults, it's the simplicity of their thought process that gives them clarity. A lot of people who play as kids turn out to be very good players
I've heard that looking away from a chess board during a game can help you think of moves you wouldn't have otherwise considered. Not sure if that is what he was doing there though.
Magnus didn't really get into chess as early as one might think. He only began to become formidable around age 11, especially if his App is any indication.
Actually, Magnus remarked after that he knew much less in chess than Kasparov, who taught the young Carlsen a lot about the game. And Magnus didn't win anyways.
5:13 Watching his games live I learned not just learning new chess tactics and moves But also on how to fake the touch move rule (By accidentally falling the piece)
I’d like him to be the Jonny McEnroe of chess. I want to see him get up mid game and break the chess board over his knee. That would be fun. I do like Magnus though, he’s a beast.
Zweitausend to be in the top at a time where information is readily available for everyone means that there is something special with magnus that the rest do not have :D
Just love him... What a boy.... Now his agening.... Wichm all of lykke.... Im jumping and dancing hver gang han er i mach.... Just love him.....Its increbiable......Norway...Sorry about the spelling.....
Magnus Carlsen is without a doubt one of the best chess players, but there is a dark side to him. I asked him on lichess to play me, but he saw my challenge and declined it. The worst part is, though that I was doing this while watching his stream, and he looked at it, looked at my online rating, declined it and actually called me a LOSER on his livestream.
I think that when he get's these little fits when loosing it's more of him getting mad at himself for fucking up rather than him being mad at others. With exception to one game.
