the wastegate on that escort cosworth sounded like gunfire!! this is why i love hillclimbing, you get such amazing creations, like the mercedes judd, in such variety
And the wastegate sound (turboflapper) is not the wastegate. The wastegate controls turbopressure. That flappernoise is what you get when not using a blow-off valve...
That 935 is the one where I can just take pictures of it, I would not want to ride in it or drive, if you dont know how to drive it you could wind up dead real quick!
that porsche 935 goes surprisingly well given that its designed for big open circuits and looks like a bit of a bull in a china shop on a hill climb course

Sergio Pinto Well, it sounds like an Anti-Lag, my mate had one in his WRX, I wasn't sure what it was until I asked and he told me it's an Anti-Lag system by HKS T51.

It was here because the driver does not wan't to get out of practice. Might enter some more hillcilmbs later this year but probably not all. Next year he will return with his new (and better) Mercedes SLK 340 Judd.

Eigentlich unklar, wie er das Ding nur quer durch die Kurven dirigiert, der rutscht ja schlimmer als die Formel-Autos in den 60ern. Ich frag' mich, ob das so gewollt/abgestimmt ist und ob so ein Auto am Eingang nicht zu nervös wird.
To me the best turbo sound had to be the one from the that Ford Escort RS 500 and the best Naturally aspirated sound was that Mercedes Benz 250 or 300 ( not sure about the exact model ) Wow , both of them were monsters on their own way !
