“DONE” I just recently started detailing vehicles on the side to try and escape my horrible job of working at a psychiatric hospital. I’ve been there for 7 years! So far I’ve been getting about a client a week, which has been very nice. I love seeing the clients face and reaction after you transform their vehicle. Anyways, hope I am the lucky winner. Stay safe out there.

Chelsea’s video is the first I have found that provides all the practical tips the new practitioner needs to be confident in making their first attempt at polishing. Her comments about correcting panels in sections, cleaning used pads on the fly, and managing expectations with the Griot’s G9 put this video over the top in helpfulness. Thank you, Chelsea, and thanks for organizing a giveaway to help someone get a great, new start! Don’t select me for it since I have one already on order. - Curly Wolf

Hi Chelsea, My first polisher (G9) is on it’s way to me. I’ve never polished before but have been watching videos for a few years. I feel like I’m just about ready to try it. This video is THE best I’ve seen for true beginners. Thank you so much. You’ve definitely earned my sub. :)

DONE - Would LOVE the Griot’s G9 polisher! I ventured down the rabbit 🐇 hole of detailing my own car about 1.5 years ago (began following you when you “only” had about 2k subs). A couple of months ago I started offering my detailing services to friends and neighbors. Now, it’s time to up my game more with polishing! I’ve seen nothing but great reviews on the G9 and am ready to develop my polishing skills.

You are an inspiration to many Chelsea! I appreciate all the time and info you provide. I recently picked up the old Griots 3" polisher and its amazingly balanced. I have started an on the side detailing business hoping it will grow and my 8, 9, and 12 year old could maybe join in on it later on. Done and thanks a bunch Chelsea!

"DONE!" I am an enthusiast turning part time beginner pro. I have polished three cars, family cars, and some practice junk panels using a very old Porter Cable 7424. I am unemployed due to Covid and have started detailing as a way to earn income. My target is daily drivers. I hope to polish a 2015 Toyota RAV4 and a 2001 Ford F-250 that used to haul horse trailers.

Great video as always, lucky for me subscribed to both channels already. Done, love both channels and just detailing content as a whole. I’m in my early 40s and have been a fan of detailing since a kid. I’m no professional by any means I only detail part time out of my garage and have for years. I just love trying new chemicals and tools especially with how fast the market has exploded with them. Not complaining I love it and hope this detailing train doesn’t stop. Thanks again to Attention to Details and Griots and wish everyone the best.

Done. I am transitioning from an enthusiast to hopefully a pro. I had spent the past few days going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to make the leap to purchasing a polisher. The contest may be over, but I wanted to just say thanks for the videos. I have made some good friends at my local O'Reilly's purchasing some of your superior recommendations you have given. I have also learned some great tips on starting on a realistic budget in these tough times. It is also refreshing getting tips from someone who doesn't have a $50k garage setup, and 30 years of experience. Also very big fan of Griots products. I already follow them. Keep up the great work.

Done. Just started to get into detailing our own personal vehicles 6 months ago. Bought a Griot's g6 and attempted to polish our 2009 Jetta for practice. Definitely need more practice and supplies! I just bought a polisher and love it, so not in drawing. Paint correction is now my hobby, and its kinda addictive! Lol. I've done 20 or so cars/trucks/suv, and 4 full dresser motorcycles, for friends and family. I love to see the big smiles when they see their ride! Yes Griots is a great product along with my choice of Lake Country pads. I appreciate all your videos, and I can tell you, paint correction is hard work!!

Retired and former racer (in my younger days) but I still remember the ordeal of hand compounding and polishing ((ugh) so I am going to buy a Grilt’s GG6 if I can find one, and next have to learn what pads to use and when ( wow, more expenses) but I am convinced after watching numerous videos of Griot’s amazing cleaner polisher product. I am so grateful to you for the long distance hand holding.. so informative... even entertaining a bit . Most videos assume at least an intermediate level of experience but a rookie has few to watch and learn from.. ThankX again

Not really a beginner I’ve detail cars before during my college years. Decided to get back into it not so much for the money but the love of detailing cars and restoring beauty to cars. I’m from Arkansas and the weather is starting to cool down so I’m getting ready to prep and protect my brother’s 2005 Lexus LS 430 for the winter ( clean, clay, decontaminated, polish, and ceramic coat) . He’s more excited than I am and I’ve got to do all the work. Love your videos continue to do great work and the tutorials .

DONE! Started doing maintenance washes and waxes with my first car at 16 - a beater by every sense of the word, but I still enjoyed taking care of it. Lots of years and a few cars later I've just recently started taking it to the next level. After lots of research and watching videos (like this one!) I gained the confidence to do a full wash/decon/polish/ceramic coating on my 5 year old daily driver. It was a lot more work than I anticipated but so incredibly rewarding. My wife just got a new car and I'll probably do the whole thing again soon!

You make it seem so easy, and the fact you said that it doesn't hurt your hand after 3 hours sounds very appealing to me, especially since I'm still in the building up stamina and experience phase of detailing. Done. I have built and refinished many guitars, and became familiar with the process of bringing up various finishes. Ever since I was a kid, I loved taking things apart and fixing them, and more importantly bringing out the best of whatever I’m working on. It needs to be shiny and make it shiny. If it needs to run smoother, I make that happen. The finish part is often the most important part. (I am also a professional house painter, for the last 30 years) So, I’ve always loved making things beautiful and my shoulders will not permit me to hand finish our three vehicles. I finished many vehicles for other people when I had access to a buffer. I am very good at detailing, and just need the equipment, tools, and supplies to maximize my efficiency and Take me to the next level.

This is a great video. I have polished and compounded and washed and waxed vehicles since my parents gave me my first Mustang in 1970. I bought a 2018 Mustang GT the year I retired. It’s paint is Black. So, I bought a Griot’s G9 kit. It came with one 6” orange, and a red one. I used the orange pad and the Boss Polishing Creme on my White pickup and Ford Edge. Then, realized I made a mistake of not having multiple pads. I have not used the G9 on my black Mustang except on the trunk deck. It was swirly and light scratches from a car jumping on the car. I was very pleased with the results. As soon as I can convince my wife I need $100 worth of foam pads I will buy them too. 👍🏻

Great video. That Griot’s polisher is quite impressive. I think the Rupes medium cut wool pad would work really well with either the correcting cream or the quick correcting cream. It’s such a nice pad to use and it does a nice job when used with Rupes uno protect all in one also. I never realized that Griot’s makes such great products. I’m in the commercial end of it all day everyday so I don’t see much of the consumer grade stuff. I’m quite impressed by what I see of their products

"DONE" I'm transitioning careers and looking into going on my own in motorcycle detail. Having worked for a dealership and interacting with customers and their needs for detailing, have enjoyed it as a minor hobby and now looking to the experts to make a sideline go of it. Appreciate the heads up for us "beginners". Keep it up!

Done. Enthusiast. Bought a really inexpensive Hyet 8mm of Amazon just to polish my wifes Black Grand Cherokee a couple of years ago to apply a ceramic coating . Paint was already in good shape but want to move on to to doing cars that need more aggressive corrections for family , friends and neighbors. More as a hobby then an actual business. A already watch you and Dallas paint correction. As a matter of fact I ordered his SIO2 spray from luxury microfiber a couple of days ago. The SIO2 spray I have been using is from the same family as the ceramic coating but have been out of it for a while as are others. I also wanted to say that most people that have daily drivers are thankful for your videos !!! That’s why your channel will continue to grow. There are more daily drivers out there then show cars. Continued success and keep up the great work you do.

DONE!!! :) Have not used a polisher or done any extensive hand polishing to vehicles before. But, I have a 15-year old Hyundai that needs some "love" to bring back its finish as well as my SO's newish Kia...mine in silver and hers in white. Loving the videos I've been watching on your channel and learning a lot from here and other youtubers who are in the profession.

Done! I'm an enthusiast that enjoys basic detailing. I say basic because I have never polished a car. I started detailing because I believe that it helps preserve the car value for longer and is part of the overall presentation for the job.
