I was thinking of doing the same then I thought about keeping the 6in. And converting it to a 3in. Decisions....

I am glad to hear you suggest to try a bit more aggressive pad combination with the Finishing Sealant. I have used it with the GG Microfiber pads and worked great on a black Mercedes.

Why is it considered entry level? What brand is pro level then?

Any idea on when 2nd running of polisher will be out ????
@edo-j1784
@edo-j1784 4 года назад
I want to know that as well because many of the 1st running polishers have had power cutting out on them after 1 or 2 uses. I was going to buy one already, but I put that on hold for now. Maybe Griot's can address this here...

Did Griot's resolve the brush defect for the G9 ?
@Chitown388

how much pressure do you put on the G9 during the paint correction process? Some say the right pressure is 10lbs. It'd be great to hear from you before I burn the paint.
@GriotsGarage
@GriotsGarage 4 года назад
Think of it as enough pressure to keep the pad flat/in-contact and maintain control. Let the pad and the product do the work.

@@GriotsGarage Thank you. Is the 5 inch backing plate better than the 6 inch version?
@GriotsGarage
@GriotsGarage 3 месяца назад
@@RodneyCooperFilmz If you are seeking to cut down on time with paint correction, the 5" plate is a great upgrade. The smaller footprint focuses more energy for defect and swirl removal.

After this 2-steps process, what is needed before applying the Ceramic 3-in-1 wax or do you even need the wax after that 2-step process?
@GriotsGarage
@GriotsGarage 4 года назад
Once you make sure the panels are clean and ready for wax, you can proceed straight to applying Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax.
@remvtec
@remvtec 2 года назад
Question, I thought this two step process leaves a protective layer? Is it recommended to wax after? Or can you use either the correcting cream or the finishing and then move on to wax etc? Sorry just a bit confused about the steps. Thanks!
@Chitown388
@Chitown388 2 года назад
@@remvtec The 2-stop process doesn't leave a protective layer. It simply corrects the clear coat layer. It's a great time, after the 2-step process, to apply a layer of ceramic coating. A layer of wax is fine, but the wax wears out quickly. A layer of ceramic coating lasts a lot longer (1 to 2 yrs, depending on the brand of the ceramic coating.)
@Chitown388
@Chitown388 2 года назад
@@remvtec The two-step process is the paint correction process, not paint protection process. Step one of the paint correction is polishing the clear coat with polishing compound (which is more abrasive) to remove a thin layer of the clear coat, and in the process, remove all the tiny scratches and swirls. Step two is to "buff" the clear coat to a shine with a more fine-grained compound. That will result in a mirror like finish. The next step is the protection of that corrected clear coat with either wax or a ceramic coating. Ceramic coating is highly recommended because it protects the clear coat much, much longer than wax.
