Hey guys. Today, I'm giving you my best powder blush recommendations (high end.) As our skin texture changes, we need to be looking out for sheer, blendable blushes that meld with the skin. Say "no" to anything that sits on the skin and emphasises pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Let me know what your high end favourites are.

Hi Sue, great video and I have many of the blushes that you have suggested. I too, do not throw away my powdered product until I either use them up or they no longer work for me. I think that’s it’s an industry ploy and unless it smells or irritates my skin I’m fine using it. This goes for cream and liquid products as well.

Yip, it's definitely an industry ploy. I'm with you on that! I use everything well beyond sell by date and I've never had an issue (touch wood).

I have the same taste in blush as you and I"m the same coloring. I find Chanel blushes a waste of money. They really are very cheap with no pigments. If you put a Chanel blush into a Rimmel compact and sold it for 5 dollars no one would know the difference and I've tried several shades of theirs. Too bad Clinique cheek pops aren't available like they use to be. I find it hard to see them in stock anywhere. I'm in Canada. My favorite and longest lasting blushes use to be Bobbi Brown but they discontinued and reformulated them and now they are so hard to find. The new formulas are terrible. Clinique and Mac really are the best ones now. I appreciate how you tried them on for us. I remember Mac having new blush collections every spring but I don't see anything this year and they're prices are crazy high now. $40 for a blush is insane. I'm not stupid enough to pay that much for a colored powder product. Lancome is always high quality. I'm like you I hang onto my powders and they're still wonderful.

I agree with you. I've just done a video on drugstore blushes, and I can concur, some of the pigmentation is insane. You really don't need to spend $40 on a blush. I am often beguiled by the high end packaging, but honestly, that is where the comparisons end. Drugstore blush has come a long way in recent years, and the ones I mention in the vid are particularly finely milled and sheer, and work beautifully on mature skin. There is nothing not to love about them. Unless you're looking for glossy, weighty compacts! With regards to Mac, it has been a looong time since they brought out new shades in their permanent line. Me thinks there is a need for some innovation there!

This morning I tried using pink shades from an ancient CD eyeshadow palette as blush. I’m into makeup recycling ♻️ this year! Pink eyeshadow makes me look like I have an eye infection.

Great idea to repurpose your makeup! I also can't wear pinks around my eyes anymore. I used to wear a lot of muted pinks and lavenders when I was younger but they just don't work the same for me anymore. Now, I veer towards more taupey lavenders.

Lovely video! I have the Lancôme Subtil and absolutely love it. But I’d like to give Clinique a try. Thanks for the recommendations. You look perennially gorgeous. What about an update on your skincare routine? It would be interesting to know what you’re up to!

Great video! I am curious as to why you didn't include any cream blushes? I will check out the Lancome ! I like Bobby Brown, Haus Labs (Lady Gaga) , Hour Glass ...not a drugstore fan of cheek products! 😂🎉🎉

Hi Mary.im going to dedicate a separate video to cream blushes! We don't get Hourglass here in SA, but it's definitely on the bucket list 😄

Hi Sue. Thank you so much for doing this video on higher end products that are easy to access, even in Australia. Love you colour selections also. I'm going to have to explore these.😅 Blessings and love to you. ❤

I also love the Hourglass powders, but they are so expensive here, that I think the best value is to buy them in a palette and mix the colours.

We also struggle to get our hands on most brands! The only upside is that it's good for my wallet x

@@Fifty-sense Hi Sue, no we don't get it here anymore. I got most of mine from overseas. However, I did buy some from takealot a few months back. It was a parallel import but I bought a few things to check against my blushes and the formula is the same :)

My latest blush purchase is a Chanel one called Joues Contraste in 69 Fleur De Lotus. Perfect for on the go. Very high quality compact. It very sheer and long lasting, but not very highly pigmented. Felt and looked so tired the other day. Found a cheap. apricot color by a drug store brand called Excel that woke me up. Wasn’t very long lasting or appropriate to take on the go though!

I haven't heard of Excel. I've yet to try a Chanel blush, I've heard mixed reviews. I'll definitely put one on the shopping 🛍️ list, thanks to your recommendation xx
