I've been a professional camera man for years. I honestly hate how pretentious some dudes are when it come to using consumer grade cameras. Your video are a awesome example of how with a little bit of knowledge and the right application you can create something wicked and engaging. Keep up the good work man :)
Danny Rodge Depends what your priorities are. I bought a drone first though. Your abilities to film drastically different vantage points are HUGE. Additionally, you can hand hold a drone and get some great shots that way as well (not many situations call for this, but it’s an option and it works great since it is a 3-axis gimbal camera). That said, the GoPro is about half the cost so if money is a consideration, take that into account appropriately. Have fun!

Been having a GoPro Hero 5 since '17 and my video editing sucksss haha! But I've been investing some time on learning how to edit on FCPX and bought myself a Hero 7 black just yesterday and i'm pretty excited to get better at making/filming videos. Thank you for this video! Very straightforward !

I understand the 180 rule, but I ride dirt bikes off road and go in and out of trees so I need auto exposure settings. Max iso 400 then auto shutter with an ND filter to best match the lighting situation to get as close to 180 shutter as possible, without underexposing. I guess that’s my best option.
Superb video. I went from hero 5 to 7. Here is my issue hope you can help. I"m shooting 1440/60, linear, light auto, stabilization auto, and protune off. My videos make everyone look very tall and do not fill the screen on my desktop when I process them now. These are the same settings I've used on my Hero 5 with no issues. Any suggestions?
Exploring Alabama because you use 1440. it’s Not 16:9 but 4:3. if u want to have the super wide look and 16:9 you need to use superview or crop it in post. Check out Abe kislevitz. He works for GoPro and edits their videos. He has a blog on his website about the different GoPro models where he explains everything you need to know. Just google his name. Cheers :)
got a question, searched but can not find answer.... as a fpv pilot, i do not want picture mode, n sometimes the button gets pressed from video.... can I turn off or lock to video mode? awesome video.... best I found so far....

So I ride endurance motorbikes in a lot of situations its in the woods with bright sunshine and shades from the tree what would be the best settings in the past I've used 2.7 k 60frs with superview which is awesome would you recommend auto white balance or 5500k and 1.0 or -0.5 ev
Hey amir I need help. I love videography but I can't afford a dslr. I plan buying a gopro, but I can't edit the best because my laptop is slow. Should I save money for a laptop or go ahead and buy a go pro. Also I am heading to the Philippines in less than a month and I just am confused if it's worth to buy a go pro if I can't even edit that well with my laptop.

Can someone explain me how it works with the timeline ( adobe). He said that he films in 60fps, and edit in a 24fp timeline, but doesnt that mean that the footage automatically turns into slomotion? I want to edit "slow, but also "fast" footages (both 60fps) in the same video. Can someone explain me if thats possible in a 24fps timeline? 🤔
Depends on what editing software you are using and your settings. I start a new timeline in Premiere Pro CC at 23.976fps, When I import a 60fps clip into the timeline it does not automatically turn slo mo, it stays at normal speed. I can slow the clip down to 40% and it will have perfect slow motion if I want. Sometimes people conform the clip to 24fps in the media window before importing to the timeline. hope that helps!
@@amirazakeri do you always film 60fps ( if you want to edit slowmo+ speed/normal speed)? I'm kinda confused at what settings I have to use if I want to film all 3 in good quality.. I always thought that "normal speed" or fast speed was only possible at 24 fps🤔
@@amirazakeri Do you not find that your footage might be a bit jumpy? I thought that Adobe PP would be automatically dropping frames of the 60 fps to make it fit the 24 fps timeline at slow motion?
PointandSend u create a 2.7k 24fps timeline to edit the videos u shot at 60fps .that way it gives u enoff room if u need to slow down some parts or slow motion stuff
@@BertoFishingINYAngler Maybe I've done something wrong, but I feel like whenever I do that, playback is always choppy --- I think it's dropping frames trying to compress the 60fps into 24fps. My understanding is it has to drop some frames to make it compress and fit? Is there a way around this? Just trying to figure it out because I'm always hearing that 24fps looks the best on playback, etc.
@@pointandsend you need to fill back in the dropped frames if you shoot in 60fps and edit in 24 fps. He mentions it in the first part of the video. There's a term for it and it takes more time in post production. Good thing about 60 fps is speed ramping scenes from slow to fast while maintaining clarity. Can't do that if you shot in 24 fps. I'm thinking of shooting in 60 fps and just output at 30 fps. Might be too much work for a newbie like me. :)
