BEST TESLA APP - A MUST-HAVE for Tesla Owners. #1 Tesla App (for iPhones) choice

[LINKS BELOW THIS PARAGRAPH] I have never felt this excited about ANY Tesla app - even the official Tesla App! (By the way - at the moment it is an iPhone-only app). Let me ask you to WATCH all the way through if you are a Tesla owner but don’t yet have this app. Also, don’t be scared off by the word “stats”
I can only describe STATS as a MUST-HAVE for all Tesla owners who love their vehicles and want to know as much as possible about the condition of their battery, state of battery degradation, how much “phantom drain” their car exhibits, how their vehicle compares with all the OTHER Teslas out on the road, and much more. Throw in TWO widgets, as well as a WATCH app, and there seriously is no competition in the category of Best Tesla App. Now, you may get a shock when you see the price on the App Store ($49.99 US and $69.99 CDN) but, it still remains true that you get what you pay for. In addition, this app does not charge a monthly subscription so that one payment is IT. I have never so unambiguously recommended a product before - and I don’t even get a cut of any sales :)

I did want to clarify that at present it is an iPhone app although I will find out from the developer if an Android version is on the cards. UPDATE: “Due to the massive amount of work in converting it to work on an android platform, there are no plans in the near future to create an android version so it will remain an iPhone-only app”

It's really a shame that Stats is not developed for Android. I really miss all the options Stats can give you as a Tesla owner, but I have to admit that I'm unfortunately not ready to convert to another "relgion" just for a single app. I would probably like to give over $100 for Stats, the day it's available on Android.

Makes me wish I’d waited three years to get a Performance version myself. But then again, I wouldn’t have had three years of the most amazing motoring in red dragon if I had waited. Well, I’m late to the party. I found that the app now allows for monthly, yearly, or lifetime purchases. So as of the date of this posting, 5/6/2022, I paid $100 US for a lifetime pass for this app. I’m glad I did because I think it’s amazing.

How are you getting all those widgets for the app? I'm only getting one to show up. Also, the charts is this app seem to mostly show the newest data right to left and at least one charge shows it left to right, I don't get the reason.

I’ve owned for eight months, shortly after I got my Y. Love it. I had an issue with a previous update and Ramin responded almost immediately. What other developer does that?

You're absolutely right! I wrote to him this morning and every email was met with a response within 15 minutes. When you take into account what the app does, the fact that there is no subscription, and his responsiveness, you get why I named this as the best Tesla app I have ever used!

Thanks Rick. It was about time that I spent the effort to get to know this great app. Very happy to share it - and to give an update in 2 or 3 weeks time once I've been able to populate all the fields that require at least 10 days of driving.

You did forget to mention that you have to have iCloud drive enabled. I see the watch app and the iPhone app have the same price. Do you have to pay twice to get both?? And there is also a widget for your Mac.

Hi Don. Thanks for pointing that out (iCloud Drive needing to be enabled). I hadn't actually realized that because mine is already enabled so I didn't give it much thought. Thanks for highlighting that. Now, when you buy the app (the $49.99 Stats app), it includes the widgets and the watch app automatically. I just installed the app itself, and then discovered it included Widgets and Watch components.

Nicely detailed video! Thanks. My question is this....what if you own 2 Teslas? We have a model 3 and Y. Do you need to purchase the app twice?....one for each car?

Here’s something you can try. It often works. Delete the Stats app. Then reinstall it after rebooting your phone. That fixes it for a lot of people

At this point the answer is no - it has only been developed for the iOS platform. Not sure if that might change in the future but for now it is iOS-only

Hi Len - it’s a somewhat complicated answer. Apple doesn’t allow for discount codes on the App Store. A developer can change his price across the board, but is not able to get a variety of codes for a variety of discounts. Or so I have been told in the past. Now, I will check with the developer and get back to you here with an answer on that one

Here’s a reply directly from Ramin. “You are correct. AppStore does not have discount codes. The app is sold at a significant discount already. Other apps that provide a subset of features of Stats require $50 to $79 per year (USD). For example Tesla is $50 per year and it does not have a watch app, widgets, Siri support, etc.”

If 2 people drives 1 car do they both have to purchase the app individually?

If the other person is in your “family” you can share any purchased app with them (and vice versa).

Yes. Apple have this "family sharing" arrangement which means that if you have paid for an app, and you add a variety of family members to share those apps, they can all install that app without paying a second or a third time for it

It wasn't a total waste. learned a lot of reason I wanted this App but got a huge disappointment to find out when I went to purchase it is not a android version on google store

Sounded good at $49.99US, then I discovered that in Australia it cost $80AU - the current exchange rate equates to $64.46AU, not $79.99AU. Why is it so?

Good question? I don’t know but would guess that it probably has something to do with exchange rate costs since the developer is in the USA. I do know that there are additional charges whenever a non-uS dollar currency is used but I’m just not sure about this specific case. I think it also has to do with fluctuations in exchange rate and how frequently or infrequently adjustments are made to the prices in the App Store. By the way it’s the same for us Canadians. Doing the exchange rate calculations we should be paying $60 CDN. We actually pay $69.99 (10 dollars more)
