What is the best TSS turkey hunting ammunition? I pattern tested Federal Premium TSS, HEVI Shot HEVI-18 TSS, Remington Premier TSS, APEX Turkey TSS, Fiocchi Golden Turkey TSS, Herter's Turkey TSS, and BOSS Tom TSS. Each tungsten shell was 3" except for one that was 2.75". They all had very similar velocity of around 1200 fps and were #9 TSS. All of the specs as well as pellet count and pattern density are included.

I did this test at a certified shooting range with good ear and eye protection and followed all needed safety precautions. This was a 50-yard tested using a Carlson's Turkey choke with 0.670 constriction with the goal of finding what level of performance the average turkey hunter with an average choke and setup could accomplish with these shotgun shells. #turkeyhunting
